Service was great, very fast and friendly. We ordered tom yum soup, crab Rangoon, crazy udon & crispy chicken pad Thai for pick up. Tom yum soup 2/5- far too sweet for my preference. I've had a lot of tom yum and unfortunately this was my least favorite. Pad Thai 2/5- very sweet as well which I personally did not like. Crispy chicken was good. They use very thin rice noodles. Crab Rangoon 3/5- heavily filled, good sauce, decent. Crazy Udon 2/5- very oily, but good flavor. We got chicken which was okay, a bit too dry for my preference. A must try restaurant. It is across from the Dedham court house down an alley. It is worth the trip across the street when you are in the area. Try the pad Thai. I was in a rush and told the hostess. Eggs and Thai is a really cute restaurant. It's turned into a regular part of my husband's lunch rotation since we rediscovered it. He likes that he can get a really spicy tasty dish here. He loves this place. The food is really tasty and a good size for the money. I do not get the spicy dishes, and was pleased that I could get a dish that wasn't spicy! Last time we were there they were projecting animal videos on the other side of the restaurant which was pretty fun. Ok, now for some important stuff. If you have any type of mobility issue, you should go elsewhere. it is on a bottom floor and you cannot get into the dining area without going down any stairs. (Though you could still manage to probably pick up your take out). The bathrooms are not handicap friendly. They are very, very small. But if you are able bodied and like Thai food - a solid choice. read more

A great local restaurant in Dedham. The service was very fast and the waiter was super attentive. It's a small restaurant but there was enough seating for us on a Friday night. They have the sampler plate with 5 different items to try when you can't decide what to get. It was great to share with my party. My favorite was the crab rangoon. I got the pad see ew with crispy chicken which was a rec the waiter made. It was delicious with the sauce of the noddle. The crispy chicken had a perfect contrast with the softness of the noodles. Have only done delivery from Eggs & Thai but we love it! Living in Dedham, there's not much for good delivery, but this place is great. We usually get the coconut curry soup (spicy if you're into that!), Thai basil fried rice (also a good kick and TIP: order an extra to have for breakfast the next day fried up in a cast iron pan with a fried egg on top. Pad Thai is tasty. Golden bags are good. Crab rangoons and egg rolls are also regulars on our list. Oh! And their glass noodle chicken soup is a MUST! Especially in the winter. We were in the Dedham area and decided to try something local and stumbled across this cute little gem. The Eggs & Thai Wings were a combination of spicy, sour and crispy goodness! There was definitely a good amount of spice but the mixed salad and lime was a good balance. My Thai iced tea definitely helped as well. When my friend and I got there this afternoon, we were the only table at least for an hour. But the waitress still managed to serve me the wrong dish! I can't eat hot and spicy food, I had ordered spring rolls and number 81.eggplant basil ( under stir-fried vegetables). Not only I ordered verbally, I also pointed on the menu. A couple of minutes later, the waitress returned from the kitchen saying that dish comes with meat and asked what I wanted. I told her I just wanted stir fried eggplant basil, but she was adamant about the meat, so I added beef. As it is shown in the photo, there are NO red hot pepper warning signs next to eggplant basil stir fried. When the food was served, I was busy chatting with my friend, therefore I didn't noticed the cut up jalapeños. That dish was on fire, giving me a terrible heartburn instantly. When I tried to explain to the waitress what I ordered, she insisted I had ordered the spicy pad thai ( there were no noodles in the dish they served me!). After arguing with us back and forth, she took the dish back to the kitchen, then got back saying " sorry about that" and she asked me with an attitude " So what do you want?" By that time, I had explained myself at least three times. I am not the kind of person who loses her patience with wait staff, but I was having a hard time containing myself, so I took a big breath and I said " we are back to square one, just get me stir fry eggplant basil, no beef, no hot peppers" 10 minutes later, I finally got what I asked about half an hour ago, minus the basil ( except 1 small leaf). I was very hungry, so I ignored that. She returned a little later to ask if everything was ok, then proceeded to tell me that next time I should tell them " no spicy"! So it was all my fault! That did it for me! That waitress had no language barrier, she just didn't know what was on the menu, didn't pay attention to what the customer was ordering. What happened to good customer service? Not blaming the customer? Trying to make it right by offering something small for free? Or not charging for the iced tea instead of charging extra for the beef I didn't add to my second stir fry? What was even worse about this place was the owner witnessing all this from far ( I thought she was another waitress) and not getting involved to make things right for the customer. Not going back to this restaurant again! They don't deserve my business. read more

Loved it here! Such a cute unassuming place near downtown Dedham. So many menu options. We had the roti bread appetizer and shumai which were both delicious. The bread was crispy and chewy like a scallion pancake and came with a delicious chicken curry on the side. I ordered the beef ball noodle soup which kind of resembled pho. Delicious and huge portions for every dish. My friend wanted khao soi which she found under a different name on the menu. I believe it was called curry noodle soup. A cute unassuming restaurant! Didn't know this was so close to my work place, will definitely come here again. There's a difference between their lunch and their dinner portions, and if you're wanting a larger portion, they advise you to go for the dinner portions. Spicy basil noodle lunch with duck (8/10): so good! I loved the flavor, and I also bought the lunch size, and in my opinion, it was pretty large. I was expecting flat rice noodles, but these come with the skinny kind. I ordered duck with it, but it didn't come with much, but I'm not sure if that's attributed to the portion size. I would probably order it spicier if possible the next time I come; it has a nice kick but it's not for someone who craves hot food. Thai iced coffee (10/10): so delicious and creamy! The mug was unassumingly small looking, but I was able to take it to-go and have it for the rest of the day at work! I love how pretty the restaurant is. Little hidden gem Partner and I walk by this place every weekend. Recommended by a friend who lives locally,we finally gave it a go. He got the chicken pad Thai and I got the drunken noodles. Both were very good and the drunken noodles had just enough heat to be flavorful and savory without being too spicy. We will definitely go back as they have a large menu. read more

The food was good, but the portion sizes were smaller than expected. The salmon dishes, for example, only had 2 ounces of fillet, compared to the usual 8 ounces. In addition, we ordered dumplings for $8.95 and the portion was only 2 dumplings. I would say the prices were a much higher than other Thai restaurants. Our waiter took care of our order accurately, though we did notice our water glasses weren't refilled during the meal. The inside is very cozy and cute. It would be a really nice place for a casual first date or catching up with a friend. There are scented candles and the bathrooms are compact but very clean and well-kept. The food is standard Thai cuisine but it is presented in an aesthetically pleasing way. It also tastes fresh and it is not greasy at all. Actually it tastes fairly healthy. I am always greeted well by the different staff here. They have nice manners and a positive attitude. Literal hidden gem in Dedham and I say hidden because the entrance is down a long pathway lol but rest assured that's the only sketch factor about this place! Real Authentic Thai food! Yay! Restaurant seemed to be run but a fleet of Thai women and it was refreshing to see. Limited seating due to the world imploding right now, but take out is just as great. This was one is the very few places I've had Thai food that actually tasted like what I had in Thailand. Kept it simple this night but still very filing, delicious and satisfying! Must try their pad Thai, roti that comes with a chicken curry that was packed with chicken, and my kids really enjoyed the apps sampler because it came with a little bit of everything. We have been here a few times and will always come back. This time was our first time ordering take out. We've been there a couple times as dine in and it's a cute little spot. We called our order in and easily placed it. The lady answering the phone was super friendly and reviewed our order prior to hanging up. We ordered 2 Thai teas, Pad See Ew with beef, and Pad Thai with crispy chicken. The Pad Thai just has the right flavor. We didn't ask for it spicy because our toddler was eating it, but even as take out, the flavor held so well. The crispy chicken was definitely crispy and complimented the Pad Thai so well. The Pad See Ew was packed with flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly with veggies that still had the right crunch to them. The beef was super tender! Our Thai teas hit the spot. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY. I told the waiter multiple times that I had a peanut and tree nut allergy. However, one of these 3 dishes had nuts in it. I had to vomit in the bathroom and leave the restaurant to take Benadryl and go home. They did not take my allergy seriously. They then charged my friends who finished their meals the full price - my meal. They did not make the situation right after I had to leave before my entree arrived. I went to Eggs & Thai Cafe while in Dedham, Mass., on errand and got hungry, looked for a Thai Restaurant and this one was recommended. I went and ordered fresh rolls and Drunken Noodles with Pork. The fresh rolls were filled with beautifully fresh greens , shrimp and a good peanut sauce for dipping. The noodles were utterly delicious, spicy enough that you could taste all the wonderful components of the meal. Excellent service in a very quaint and small place. Highly recommend! read more

If you're in the Dedham area and you love Thai food, this is a must-try restaurant. It's storefront is unique because it has none. There is a small sign, and then you have to walk down this tiny sidestreet to get to the front door. It's kind of like what you'd imagine a medieval English pub's entrance would look like. The other wonderful thing is that this place is immaculate like an operating room. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants, and one knock against many of them is that the bathroom is clearly an afterthought. But here, the bathroom is glistening. If they served food in there (and no one had to use it), I'd have no problem eating an entire meal in there. Why make such a big deal about the bathroom's cleanliness? Because if the bathroom is sparkling clean, then you get a good idea about the standards set for the rest of the restaurant. And this was totally true as the food here was outstanding. This restaurant does a fantastic job of walking that fine line between being ethnically authentic while still appealing to the American palate. For example, the Pad Thai was slightly sweet but nowhere near what just about every Thai restaurant in the U.S. serves. The Tom Yum soup was spicy but not overwhelmingly so. It's probably the best I've had yet. Fresh rolls are an interesting thing to order. It's great that they're an appetizer because they always seem to tell the story about what happens with the rest of the meal. The reason is that although they seem simple to make, there is an ideal consistency for them. Roll them too loosely and they disintegrate all over the place while you're trying to eat them. Roll them too tightly and biting into them becomes a chore. The fresh rolls here were just right. And that's the way the rest of the meal went. Mongolian Beef... amazing. Papaya Salad... delicious, and I actually don't like the taste of papaya, but this was an exception. And the Chicken Satay left me licking the skewer. The owner, Bookie, serves everyone. And that's usually a tremendous recipe for success. At too many restaurants, the owners are nowhere to be seen, and you wonder who is enforcing quality control at the pass. One constant exception to this rule is Tony Maws at Craigie On The Main Restaurant who I've seen run the pass every time I've eaten there, and it's also why the food there is superb. What's clear is that Bookie sets a high standard that her employees have to follow. That's why the bathroom and the dining area and the kitchen are all immaculate. That's a big reason why the food tastes great. And a major thing about the food here is that it doesn't taste rushed. It's a difficult thing to describe, but at way too many restaurants the food tastes like they just threw a bunchf ingredients onto a pan, stirred it quickly, and then dumped it on the plate. It's a big reason why homemade food tastes different. But here, the food tastes like it was given the time necessary to cultivate flavors optimally. The only downside is that parking is a bit tricky. There is no parking lot next to this restaurant so it's all street parking. But there is a big parking lot about 300 yards away. But this shouldn't deter anyone from trying this restaurant. One final benefit of this restaurant is that there's a fantastic general store (Boston General Store) right next to it. It's well worth the trip to go to both of these places. read more
