Fast service and great taste. Small grab-and-go shop, so you can find seating in different locations outside the store. Deli meat is sliced super thin which is very important in a good sandwich. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and twins for our lunch. Specifically my wife and I were looking for a place for our twins to eat and Spice It Up fit the bill having both a grilled cheese and a PB&J. Spice it up is a combination food store as well as a deli. So in addition to their hot foods, they have other things like hot sauces and gourmet foods. For lunch on this day my wife and I decided to split the prosciutto quesadilla and then I decided on the PB&J for the kids. The menu described our prosciutto quesadilla as prosciutto, fig spread, arugula and grated truffle cheese. Throughout the whole order process the lady working the counter was super friendly and after it was rang in, she told me that it would be ready in about 10 minutes. With that I left with my son to waste some time as there was no way he was lasting ten minutes in that store without breaking anything. Whenever I came back about 10 minutes later, the food was just coming out of the back and I was on my way. The quesadilla itself was cut into 3 different pieces and was quite good. It was toasted nicely on the outside while the prosciutto had a nice saltiness to it, the fig added sweetness and the arugula a bit of pepperiness. Then the cheese itself was nice enough but i don't think I could have you told you it was a grated truffle cheese. My kids PB&J came cut in half and with a bag of chips. It was loaded with both peanut butter and jelly and both of my kids ate a large portion of their half. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Our sandwich was good and I would certainly be open to trying more of their food, especially the blackened mahi Reuben or ship bottom brewery. read more

After coming to buy spices, pickles, and sauces for many summers, we finally tried the sandwiches! The menu is well thought out with great homages to Bay Village favorites. This is a great little deli and market. They have a lot of great sandwiches and a lot of gluten free options. They also do a brunch thing with Ship Bottom Brewing on Sundays at 9 and music at 10am. This shop is a true hidden gem! Our uncle recommended it to us while we were visiting the brewery, and it blew our minds. Sandwiches were extremely fresh and full of flavor!! We enjoyed the "Original Dan" and the "Ship Bottom Brewery". I cannot rave enough about the Bella Vidalia spread on the Original Dan, OUT OF THIS World!! Meats were of a very good quality (mom thought the pastrami was very lean, thinly sliced, and delicious), bread was super fresh (I believe a rosemary olive oil), proportions were excellent (we split them with some pretzels as an afternoon snack, but would definitely be filling for one). Shopkeepers were extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We will be back. Thank you Spice It Up!! read more

I recently had ordered sandwiches and a cheese and charcuterie platter from Dan here at spice it up. It was for my boyfriends 40th birthday party. The sandwiches were fresh, the bread was perfect and the sandwich itself was so creative and tasty! The various spreads and toppings combined were truly unique and delicious! The cheese. And charcuterie platter was also absolutely delicious! The cheeses were labeled so it made it easier for picking, also the spreads and jams with the cheese and crackers were perfect! My boyfriend and I often go to spice it up, the boutique is great!! There are so many different marinades, spices, hot sauces,etc....truly a great store and excellent Service! Wild experience, ordered 4 meatball paninis and 1 original Dan. They ran out of meatballs and made 3 Meatball Hoogies instead and 1 Turkey sandwich. Only thing that did not go wrong was the original Dan. I am furious, and upset. The customer service was dogshit and they did not respect our order. This place is a big no go! Looking for a quick bite my son and I decided to give the deli at Spice it Up a try. We bought some of the retail items in the past and since we liked them we thought we would give the made to order sandwiches a go. Man were we glad we did! I had the Morro Castle which was a cross between a spicy Cuban and NC BBQ, It was fantastic and well balanced. My son had the song of the sea which uses tomato focaccia and prosciutto that was tender and flavorful unlike the cheap tough stuff you find and most pizza joints. It's hard to find high quality in an area tourist frequent but Spice it Up delivers and even uses Hudson Bread which is a top bakery in norther NJ. We will be back to try the rest of the menu and sing the praises to our family and friends they mooch on our shore house, you know who you are! read more

Great place! Planned to get some sandwiches from the deli and go up to the brewery. We placed the order and they offered to bring the order up to us while we found a seat upstairs. Very nice people and the sandwiches were amazing. I got the Smoking Hot Turkey special and my fiancé got the Parlor Squakin Chicken special. They were very good - great amount of meat and sauce. Great customer service and fantastic food. Ordered some sandwiches to take upstairs to the brewery. The woman helping us insisted that we go upstairs and she'd bring them when ready.
