I love Asian food and eat it often so I was excited for this spot. Came with a group and were waited for everyone to arrive before we could be seated. Service was pretty good. The waiter brought out several appetizers for the table and took drink orders. Sadly no Asian beers on the menu. The food menu was in the app like all of the other restaurants at the resort. I ordered a Dos XX. For some reason it was the hardest thing to get because I'd didn't come until I finished my main course and everyone else at the table were able to get several drinks I. The same time frame. The food was good. I enjoyed the vegetable Gyoza and Chicken Satay appetizers. For my main course I had the Yakimeshi, fried rice with shrimp. It was so so. Rice was a little hard and the shrimp were small. I didn't have dessert. The waiter Thomas was very entertaining and accommodating to our group. It was chilly inside so he brought the ladies in our group some beach towels to keep them warm. Not my favorite as far as food goes but the service was great. I heard the Hibachi in the back room was great but it booked up for the whole week pretty fast.

The place is really nice and the staff is outstanding. We tried the Korean bbq one night and the hibachi a couple nights later. The food was very good and if you are lucky you will get Oscar for your hibachi chef. Can't say enough great things about him. Very very entertaining!

One of the best spots in Excellence Riveria! All of the things we got were great. The hibachi was the best but if you want to go toy have to make a reservation prior. Definitely worth it. Place is beautiful and romantic!

Probably my least favorite place I at while staying at excellence but I'm not a fan of Asian food but I was with a group and everyone wanted to go here. The vegetarian gluten free sushi was awful. I hate seaweed though and it had large chunks of ginger. I ate the rice out of the middle on one piece and that was it. Every once else at the table didn't like jt either. They did like the regular sushi and appetizers. I had the miso soup the night before at a wedding and it's ok but once again it was too seaweed forward so it was ok and I didn't want it again: the pad Thai noodles was pretty good but I ate it the night before and it was the only option I could eat at spice that was gluten free and vegetarian. For dessert I had the tapioca which was just the balls not like a pudding so it was ok. The server was great and the Chef came out to talk with me about making something for me so that was nice. They do have gluten free soy sauce if you ask for it.

Food was pretty good, but BENJAMIN was the best hibachi chef Ive have ever had including back home!! He was very personable and made the whole experience AMAZING.

The King Fish ... which you MUST have. Mixed vegetables (extra entree; all inclusive, baby!). Strawberry martini (my favorite drink here).

My wife Faith and I are in CanCun at Dreams Jade for a week. We tried each of the restaurants in the resort. Monday night we made reservations for the Teppanyaki grill at Spice. It was amazingly good and super fun. Our host/chef/entertainer was named Luis, and he was really, really fun. We had a blast. We met a nice couple there from Canada who sat with us at the table, and laughed a lot. One could order chicken, steak or white fish for your protein, and of course, Faith and I ordered "combination" ... so all three. It was excellent. The dessert was fried ice cream, and it was amazing! Some of the best I've ever had. I had the house white wine and Faith ordered TWO chocolate martinis. She fell in love with those things. Tuesday night we ate at Spice again, but this time we sat at the sushi bar, and ordered several rolls, along with some main dishes. I highly recommend the Shrimp roll. For our entrees, we ordered the honey chicken (Faith's; it was good, but not great) and the King Fish (Jeff's; it was incredible!). We also ordered mixed vegetables for the table, which was a great idea. And this time we ordered Mango (Faith) and Strawberry (Jeff) martinis. SO good, and probably the strongest drinks we've encountered here at the resort. Most of what we ordered on the beach, etc were pretty weak, but the martinis at Spice were serious. I definitely didn't need more than one. And the strawberry martini might have been my favorite drink here. For desert, I returned to the fried ice cream for dessert (it was that good!), while Faith indulged in the truffles, which was amazing (and amazingly rich). And our waiter, when we inquired about another family's dessert of choice, brought us one without our asking - the mousse, which was good but not my favorite. Walter was the waiter's name, and he was the second exceptional server we encountered at Spice. So this is definitely the place for great Japanese food and excellent service.

Yummy and authentic! A restaurant only available at the resort, Spice is an Asian themed restaurant that will satisfy any oriental craving. Their menu is on the smaller side compared to most of the other restaurants, but choose from an assorts of Japanese sushi, Thai food, hibachi grilled, curry dishes and more! All portions are large. We started off with their sushi, each dish comes with six pieces and a small helping of wasabi and ginger. Get them all, each roll was fresh and light. I wasn't sure how sushi would go down in Mexico but it was very tasty! Want to try more than one sushi? For larger groups they will bring out sushi platters that have all the sushi appetizers to try. The more the merrier they say! Want sake? They have it! Just be aware it'll be charged to your room or at the table. Prices range from $35 to $130 for sake. They also have a larger wine menu, we got a bottle of the Malbec, it was not included and we were charged but nice to go outside the Cabernet and Merlot boat. What I like about this menu is it goes from fancy to traditional. We went as a group of six and the table was split from picky eaters to those of us who will try anything. Luckily everyone had options to try something they were comfortable with. We ate the chicken pad Thai, chicken fried rice, New York teriyaki and the yaki udon. The pad Thai was a home run! They used a sweet and sour sauce that dressed each noodle and the sautéed vegetables. It came with a mild amount of peanuts and had a large amount of small slices of chicken. Very tasty! The fried rice is super good, it was the favorite from our picky eaters side of the table. It was light and fresh and didn't initiate the bloating cycle which is nice for us in bathing suites the next day LOL. The new York teriyaki had plenty of tender and well cooked steak bites. The yaki udon has lots of sauce and seemed very safe to eat. None of us suffered from indigestion later that night so each dish is safe to try!! It doesn't stop there, you have to get dessert. Their menu is tough, all the options are delicious! I'd highly recommend the friend tempura Ice cream. Deep fried vanilla ice cream that comes drizzled with chocolate, strawberry or honey sauce. It's warm and cozy meets sweet and savory. Others from our table tried the coconut flan, was super delicate and light and had little to no flavor. Just get the ice cream, you won't be sorry!! For birthdays or special requests, you can do a hibachi dinner! Taken to a isolated part of the restaurant, you are separated by walls and have your own private area. The chefs will make fun dishes, will make animal shapes with rice and carrots and are very interactive! The groups were singing, cheering and even getting a fire show! Sounded like lots of fun! IMPORTANT! There is a dress code. Men must wear a nice shirt and long pants, no shorts or flip flops. Women can't wear tank tops and no bathing suites allowed. Overall, great place to try that accommodates picky and non picky eaters. Would add it to your list of dinner places to go at the Excellence Riveria!

Save your appetite for other restaurants. Food and service is by far the worst of all the restaurants we tried at excellence.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.
