The dark meat tasted fantastic. It was hard for me to really taste the difference in the korma curry as it didn't taste of nuts or coconut. Both curries were incredibly savory BUT salty. Last week, I ordered lamb biryani and several other items for carryout. When my family and I sat down to eat, the food appeared stale and unappetizing. Since I happened to be in the neighborhood later, I stopped by to speak with the owner about my experience. I approached him intending to explain the problem calmly. Instead of listening or showing even basic concern for a longtime customer, he became belligerent, raised his voice, and began yelling and screaming at me. His behavior became so hostile that I chose to leave before the situation became uglier. Poor food is disappointing, but an owner verbally attacking a customer for providing honest feedback is completely unacceptable. A professional business owner should be willing to hear a legitimate complaint without trying to intimidate the customer. Based on both the terrible food and the owner's aggressive conduct, I will never return. Future customers should think carefully before spending their money here--especially knowing how they may be treated if there is a problem with their order. Instead, it tastes overwhelmingly of chickpeas, seemingly used as a filler to support the "unlimited chutney" concept at the buffet bar. There's little to no proper tempering or seasoning, leaving you with what feels like bland chickpea paste masquerading as coconut chutney -- a key accompaniment that South Indian food simply does not work without. Their "Chaat Night" is equally disappointing and honestly an insult to authentic North Indian chaat. The flavors, textures, and freshness that make good chaat enjoyable are completely missing. The idlis were cold and hard as rocks, while the dosas arrived cold, soggy, and utterly lacking flavor or crispness. What a fall from grace. This place clearly can no longer maintain the standards and quality that made it popular when it first opened.
