Walked past this place and decided to give it a try because I do like Indian food and was very curious about what "Pakistani" food is. I'm no expert but this place appears to be a bit of a fusion restaurant. The menu has options similar to typical Indian food such as butter chicken, but then it also has items such as a beef kebab! And the beef kebab did not have the Greek flavors so that you normally expect, so it was very interesting indeed! The reason I say it seems like a fusion place is because they also serve burgers! Anyways, I'm so glad I tried this place because I have found another place that has AMAZING CHAI. I love good quality chai, and many places serve bad chai that has not much quality of flavor. But the chai at Casa Lahori is amazing! It tastes homemade, and they even serve it to you in a beautiful tea cup. I will definitely return just for the chai. Came here on a weekday for lunch with a couple of friends. The restaurant has a spacious dining room and a large outdoor pagoda seating. We were the first table to arrive, and only one other table came in during our meal. Our server was friendly and recommended a few of his favorite dishes. We ordered the Butter Chicken (4/5), Beef Kabobs (3.5/5), and Garlic Naan (4/5). The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of warm spices with tender chicken. The beef kabobs were flavorful with a nice grilled taste, though a little dry. The garlic naan was warm, fluffy, and buttery with plenty of garlic. Portions were enough for the three of us to share. So honest review time - we came here since the menu looked good , a bit of a mix of burger bbq and desi items. We ordered nihari, chicken biryani, chiken tokka kabob, chapli kabob, naan and chai and mango lassi. Mango lassi was interesting it was like it had pistachio or something kheer flavored in it. The chicken tikka was called kebab in menu so that was confusing, since its a chicken leg. The leg was good, had good flavor and freshness and not overcooked. Chapli kabob was dissapointing- what was interesting was that employees were afghani so the chapli should have been good atleast, but it was dry and not right consistency. Biryani was tasting like the shaadi style where flavor is almost there but not quiet. The nihari wasnt that good tbh, it had a home style attempt taste and look, but quantity of meat was decent. Naans were okay, large soft and sinilar to a mix between roghni and kahmeeri (as called in lahore). Chai was masala chai so it tasted as described. They were playing music so not recommended as well, but they had janamaz (prayer rugs) which were good when we had to pray maghrib. They also do reserve seating so if you want the afghan like cushion pillow seat style (but ontop of chairs or bench) you could reserve it probably. So interesting that place /decore/menu is lahori but theirs an Afghan map and employees there. It's a Pakistani restaurant that offers a slightly different menu. They have burgers, wraps, curry dishes, etc. We ordered butter chicken, shahi paneer, butter naan and garlic chili naan. Both curry dishes were flavorful but they were salty and more on the spicy side. The waiter was nice to give us a mango lassi to go with it. Garlic chili naan was a good choice. The table next to us ordered Tikka Kabab and it looked great. He also mentioned that it was spicy. I suppose their dishes are on the spicier side so ask to adjust accordingly. One thing i wasn't too thrilled about is that they gave us the water pitcher from next table after that guy left, when we asked for more water. It wasn't too sanitizing. Me and my boyfriend come here for date nights and we both love it! My dad is Pakistani and the food reminds me of his cooking, especially the Nihari. The only downside we have found to this place is that the food takes quite a while to arrive. The place was empty because we came for an early dinner and could sit wherever we wanted. They gave us menus and a pitcher of water but didn't pour the water for us. I had to tell the waiter that we were ready to order and to bring to go boxes. I also had to go to the cashier to pay because I was never given the bill. They need to learn customer service skills. I asked specifically with the nice girl on the phone whether or not it comes with rice and she said yes. Low and behold, on pickup it does not. While they apologized, they did not offer to make it right even though it was promised on the phone. I get that stuff is more pricey but this is next level poor value and poor customer service. Rice is the cheapest thing there is and when you cut corners like this when curries universally come with rice, this spells doom. $60 and basically got soup with a few small pieces of meat, and the previously tasty butter chicken sauce is competing watered down. We ordered the chicken pakora for a starter and honestly that was probably almost enough food for three. Two of those could have made a whole meal and it was the best food we had. The mixed grill were mostly dry - the best was the chicken Tikka, the beef and the other chicken were forgettable. The goat biryani was tender, but the flavor was subtle and it was carried by the rice. The naan was unique, not my favorite but I could see the appeal. The beef nihari never came despite being on the bill - they did remove it when we asked. Fortunately we were too full as it was. As others have noted the overall ordering experience was somewhat difficult - there were a few communication lapses where it wasn't entirely clear what was going on with the food and things came out somewhat randomly. We weren't entirely sure the expectation was to come to the front to checkout, nothing was said and they had offered to bring boxes to the table. Love the butter chicken, the naan, both garlic and garlic chili, chicken tika kabob, the burgers and I love the salted Lassi (no longer on the menu), but occasionally they make it on request. We usually stick to the same things, but I want to explore more of the menu, which is a challenge as we love the familiar dishes. The service is always friendly and efficient and it's super nice to dine on the patio, with our furry friends. I discovered a fairly new Pakistani restaurant...bingo this is the spot. As soon as I entered this clean establishment, the manager welcomed me.
