I ordered the 3 item combo with tandoori chicken , saag paneer and chicken tikka masala, which is usually my go to. I also ordered the pakoras. The pakoras had to be made fresh, so I waited a few minutes, but they came out hot and fresh, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't quite blow me away. The saag paneer was surprisingly not as flavorful as I'm used to, and the tandoori chicken seemed like it may have been sitting on the warming plate for a bit. The standout for me was definitely the pakoras since they were freshly made and paired well with the sauces that came with them. If you're craving Indian food and want something convenient in the area, this spot will satisfy the craving. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. Due to a random day off, I mainly was able to take advantage of the lunch special promotion ($10.99 for 2-item combo). I definitely recommend the tandoori chicken, which was so flavorful and tender. The chicken tikka masala seemed kind of watery (not enough tomato, seasoning, or creaminess), but it was good enough for the lunch special deal. The naan was fresh made and piping hot. The rice was plentiful (a bit too plentiful because only one of my items had sauce). The raita was bright and flavorful. I purchased a couple of samosas, which were crunchy with a generous potato filling; if you buy 10, each one becomes $2 & it was very tempting to use that rationale to eat 10 samosas. I realized when I entered that I had previously visited to pickup takeout. I don't remember the actual food. But I remembered that I was leaving a work event that gave me $25 for dinner, and the amount of curry I got was a bit small for the price (I had wanted to share with my partner, but there was only enough food for one of us). Something to consider when you are buying the entrees separate from the specials. I want to come back for the weekend buffet ($16.99). Service was friendly and quick. First off, it would be a shame to die without having tried the Indian drink - mango lassi - it's that good. The dinner special at Delhi Kitchen has generous portions and is reasonably priced - and all the food I've ever had here has been delicious. As a warning, a number of their dishes are too spicy for me, so I'd ask about the spiciness level before ordering something. Delhi Kitchen did feel like a "hole in the wall" in the past - but they've renovated the restaurant and it feels more lively and fashionable now. It was okay when I tried it a year ago. I forgot and made the same mistake again. Today I ordered 24 oz of Vindaloo with 3 garlic naan. I asked if it can be made vegetarian and the gentleman said he can make it with potatoes. Well, vindaloo was very oily and made with plenty of potatoes but hardly any sauce. No dipping possible with the garlic naan. Also, the garlic naan is $1 more than regular naan and very bland. I ended up using Trader Joe's garlic naan, which was 3x more flavorful. Food is pretty good. The lunch and dinner special is fantastic and very good price wise for the amount of food you get compared to other similar places. If you get the salad with the lunch special, don't expect much. It's just a small handful of lettuce. They use a little more spices than other places. I like it, but others may not as much. The person who took our order was really very polite and checked if we wanted to customize the spice levels etc. The dish quantity was quite generous and lamb pieces were soft. The curry was equally flavourful. We also got to know that they do catering service as well for takeout dishes. Prices are quite reasonable as well. The restaurant has limited seating and one needs to check ahead if you plan to eat in the restaurant which is something I would recommend. The reason is that the food is served piping hot. So, since I was heading home anyway, I decided I should just stop here. I don't think I've ever spent more than $12 here, and that's with samosas and extra naan added to the 3 item combo. This is the second time I came here, once for lunch and dinner. It's been on my radar since it's close to my neighborhood and once my neighbor told me this is his favorite place close to authentic Indian food, I was sold. Ample parking in the lots and this is a hole in the wall. Simple decor, tables are tightly packed inside, the food is good packed with spices and flavor. Get a side of plain yogurt to help receive the spiciness. Lunch is overrated because they give you mostly rice for $9.00 and small portions of the side dishes. The dish specials are already premade. Premade Food is good thou better when they make their special dishes. The special dishes have outstanding flavor. Ordering take out is hit or miss. Most of the times the food is spectacular and another time I have been disappointed. I'm still ordering food here, just not from the premade stuff they have simmering on the burners. It's important for a restaurant to have consistency in their food and I haven't found that here yet. Lunch is busy so be patient waiting to order and staff is friendly and focused. Enjoy! read more

On a weekday, we came to Delhi Kitchen for dinner, which we took to-go. We ordered a dinner combo each, as well as a couple of samosas. The food for the dinner combo is what I would describe as "Panda Express" style of preparation (previously prepared, served from the warming pan and put into a Styrofoam container, along with rice). The advantage of this is that the food is quick to receive but unfortunately the the quality suffers (not as fresh) and the spice level cannot be made to order. The curries were quite bland. Presumably, the restaurant makes it very mild to satisfy a variety of customers. I don't like things too spicy (usually mild to moderate) but these dishes had very little flavor. Also, the samisas were cold - because the samosas were also made ahead of ordering, they were cold when we received them. The tamarind sauce appeared to be just purple-colored sugar syrup - just sweetness, no flavor. Unfortunately, the naan was dough-y and tasted under-baked. On the positive side, the customer service was good. We also appreciated that it was a quick stop - because things are already prepared (for dinner combo), it's a fast pick up. Additionally, the food is at a good price point. Of note, if you order something from their menu, I believe it's made to order and the experience may be very different from the dinner combo. read more

This place used to be good. I have been going here since childhood. I recently returned for my childhood favorites- chicken tikka masala, veggie korma and the potatoes. To start - the lunch deal isn't bad. The chicken tikka masala and veggie korma were both very watery and lacking flavor. I found myself salting everything. Potatoes were okay. Pretty much the same.
