Was craving Indian food and decided to give this place a try. I ordered their dinner plate, which was under $12 and came with rice, two curries, and naan--definitely seems like a great deal for the price. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the flavor. Average indian food buffet presentation. You can choose your items. I got one chicken and one veggie. Only option is plain naan. Food wasn't very warm and Mango Lassi was premade in the cooler. Lassi was ok- had a slight taste like the mango was fermenting from being older. Prob won't come back since there are other indian spots next door that I liked better. So stuffed after eating all the yummy things! We ordered garlic naan, vegetable pakora, gobi manchurian, butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, paneer saag, kheer, gulab jamun, and ras malai. Our order also included a large to go container of basmati rice. There was plenty to feed our family of 5. We ordered mild for everything. The butter chicken was our favorite savory dish. We loved the garlic naan, for obvious reasons (garlic lovers here). The gobi manchurian was a new dish for us. It sounded good so we tried it and happy that we did. It was fresh and flavorful. We hadn't ordered Indian desserts before so we tried a little of everything. Hands down the gulab jamun was the winner! So light, fluffy and soaked in a delicious syrup. I kinda wish there were more but am glad there wasn't because I don't know if I could control myself (ha)! We ordered online and had it delivered. The wait was a little long but that is to be expected at prime dinner time. I can't speak to the service other than how they prepared and packaged the food, both of which were good. Got the 1 meat and 1 veggie plate with garlic naan ($0.75 extra). The garlic naan wasn't the greatest texture. Seemed a bit too flat. The whole meal cost $10ish which is not bad! Disgusting and disappointing! Raina sauce was water! This should be a yogurt consistency. We found a large pea sized piece of hard plastic in the lamb saag. Shrimp vindalu was water sauce-supposed to be curry/thick. We've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food from their cafeteria style dishes. Wonderful curry or korma dishes with and without meat. What's best are the prices...very very affordable like $10-12 for two main dishes and rice. Combos also include Naan ($0.75 more for garlic...and worth it). They are next to another Indian restaurant but we like it better (as do SDPD and the Sheriffs). They offer lots of other freshly made dishes and I look forward to trying the Chicken 65 and Chilli Chicken soon. read more

Pretty good pricing for lunch and dinner. We usually get the dinner set which is 2 items, with rice, salad and naan. It used to come with a dessert but I think they stopped doing that. It's around $9. I like the chicken tiki masala cuz I'm basic. LOL I also tried something with eggplant that was pretty flavorful, but not as good. I think some of the items are a little older but regardless still tasted pretty good. I'll be coming back if I want something hearty and flavorful for lunch/dinner. The mushroom & alu and chicken curry were both delicious, but nothing out of the ordinary. The soft and chewy naan was the definite highlight. I think it's a little weird that the salad that they give you doesn't come with dressing. If you want dressing then you have to pick the raita, which means you don't get the kheer dessert. Very disappointed in this restaurant. On Wednesday I called and placed an order for vegetable biriyani. The person on the phone asked for how many people and how spicy, I said 8 and NO spice. Picked it up. Got home to my dinner party. Out of the 5 people who ate, I am the only one not allergic to spice. All 4 of my in laws are bright red and sweating due to the amount of spice in this rice. (Instead of a level 0, it was more like what I eat a level 6/7) I threw away an entire pan and made rice at home. I am so embarrassed and also wasted $35 and rice that my brand new in laws couldn't eat. This restaurant pretty much ruined the first meal I have held for my in laws after marrying my husband a month ago.
