Chubbys burger was delicious! Love Spilt Milk and the patio, highly recommend the burger.

Great cocktail bar. The bar is large and has a ton of stools, and there are lots of tables and booths. Service was friendly and fast, and the bartender recommended a drink that I would like which was helpful. I enjoyed The Devil Made Me Do It, which was delicious. It was sweet and not spirit forward, and the cucumber bitters had a lot of flavor.

When I first heard there'd be an unaffiliated social event here, I incorrectly assumed Spilt Milk was a café; lo and behold, it is a cocktail bar! Now, you know that Ritual Spirit-Free stuff which it seems every other bar has? I once tried the 'tequila' in a shot. Big mistake, never again -I'd rather drink Malört. Why am I telling you this? Because, in my opinion, one of the measures of a great cocktail bar is how good its mocktails are. Ritual is nowhere on the menu, and the Chai Bella mocktail was fan-freaking-tastic. It was exactly what a mocktail should be... and, as per the bartender, they stay far away from Ritual. The Chai Bella was perfectly balanced, with a sweet bitterness from the Ghia Aperitif (non-alcoholic), sweetness and tartness from pineapple and lemon, and, of course, sweetness and chai flavors from the chai tea syrup. It's the kind of mocktail I would happily down three of! Then there was the service. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great hospitality. He consistently checked in to make sure I was all set while waiting for a group, but in no way was he overbearing or did I feel compelled to buy another drink or leave. When the social group assembled, even though many of us were not drinking, we all felt welcome in the space. Speaking of the space, it's what I would call an ideal cross between a dive and an upscale cocktail bar. The vibe is comfortable and homey with just the right amount of upscaleness. The only critique is that initially, when business was quiet, the music was a touch loud for my taste... but bear in mind, I am basically the "Loud Noises!!" guy from Anchorman. With this, while it is a little bit of a hike from where I am in Chicago, I look forward to returning and trying some more of their goodies, liquid and otherwise.

Great craft cocktails in an elevated dive bar environment! Plenty of seating and attentive bartenders. They have a photo booth which is an added bonus. Fun spot for a drink with friends. It's a bit loud on weekends but you can still chit chat.

My first visit to this establishment was for a Monday evening family dinner. I had always been curious about this bar, but had never actually made it inside. That is kind of a big mistake because it's a really dope bar with a really extensive drink menu. On this occasion, they were partnering with a local restaurant (Umamicue) that does not have a traditional brick and mortar to do on Monday night, Family dinner. It was also Memorial Day so people were down to get some yummy barbecue. Upon arrival, the line was literally out the door and they actually ended up selling out. We were one of the last people that were able to pay for a plate which included a custom cocktail. Overall, the event itself was a success, but I think that when having a very popular restaurant, maybe they should do two times (5pm and 730pm) to ensure that everyone that came out could get a plate. At least 60 people were turned away. I would return to the bar just to have drinks on a regular day. I'm not sure if I would return for a family dinner unless I knew I was gonna be guaranteed a plate. We ended up sharing a plate between 2 people, for me our party of 4. However, I will say the food was really good and I did want more, but it was a bummer because it was just such a limited amount of food on that day. We ended up dining on the outdoor patio and that was really nice. There was a lot of seating and it was colorful and bright back there. My understanding is also a dog friendly patio. All in all I do plan on trying this establishment again. My spicy Margarita was fire.

Stop number two on a cocktail crawl. It was a backup for another place that closed earlier than we thought, but I was glad we chose Spilt Milk. A nicely decorated, dark and intimidate space gave it a bit of a speakeasy vibe. We ordered their version of an espresso martini (delicious, rich, perfect pick-me-up for a long night ahead) and an elevated take on a marg (lots of ingredients, but tasted like a standard marg to me). Cute decor which made for great conversation starters, and pretty presentation of the cocktails.

Arrived at Spilt Milk and noticed it's a bit smaller inside compared to the last bar we went to, but the space is really cute and cozy. They have a photo booth too, which is a fun touch! We tried the espresso martini -- really well made and nicely balanced. Heard the food's good, so I'll definitely try that next time. Service was great too!

Eh, not sure I loved this place. They have a Sunday meal, but at the door they are very annoyed when you say "what list" when they ask if you are on their list. This is a bar, when we were there (it was summer) they didn't have any frozen drinks and were very annoyed when asked. I felt like saying take it off the menu or cross it out for today. I felt old here and I am not old, and there were old people eating in the back. Overall I felt like my drink wasn't very tasty, and I asked for a Woodford bourbon and they paused as if they didn't know what to do. The music was loud but it was good music.

Spilt Milk held the honor of being my first stop on my recent trip to Chicago. Wow, this spot had been on my radar for a while. It is a party inside that is beautifully adorned. The back bar is extensive, and they can cook you up any drink under the sun. I stayed with their menu and got the daq to the future. A wonderful daiquiri variation with the demerara being the star of the show because it bends so perfectly with the rum, THe interior is bustling with groups of friends sharing toasts and company. The bar is long with multiple servers cooking up drinks, working together, and having a great time. The vibes are perfect. It is dimly lit, and feels very divey. However, it is anything but. The folks at spilt milk are serving up legit drinks in an amazing atmosphere. From date nights to celebration Spilt Milk is the place to be!

Bouncer was kinda rude which set a bad tone. The interior and patio is really cute. They had a photobooth that was $7 for two strips (b&w, color) with 4 frames (PHOTOBOOTH DISCLAIMER: there's no visual feedback for the pictures) I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks because there was too much going on and there wasn't the classic cocktails (maybe you can request it? I typically go by the menu and there wasn't any on there). The food was so good though I'd go back for that patty melt any day

This cocktail bar was so much fun! I loved the unique cocktails but the fries were amazing!! So unexpected for a cocktail bar but I would go back for the fries alone. Bartenders were very nice and the vibes were great here. Would definitely go back!

Great place for cocktails! Their menu has some cool festive winter cocktails, along with the classics. If you're allergic to nuts, inform the bartender because there's a few cocktails with nut ingredients. The place is dimly lit, nice for a cute girls night or a date to catch up with a friend or partner. there's free street parking nearby and a CTA bus stop right in front. I had the Paloma Clara and wasn't super head over heels, but my friend said the hot drink was really good!

Spilt Milk is a really cool spot for cocktails and vibes. The venue is really open. Upon entrance you're greeted by the bar on one side and a bunch of booths on the other side. There's music blasting but not overly loud so you're still able to have conversations. The house cocktails are tasty. Each cocktail will run you around $16 and they utilize different spirits from gin to baijiu which is cool. Overall, had a nice time would recommend you check them out.

"Welcome back." I…read morehesitate. I know with absolute certainty that I have never stepped foot in Chicago. Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."

We sat in the back patio area. The patio was covered and heated, supposedly. It was cold back there to me. They have $30 bottomless mimosas for brunch from 11-3. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added an egg. I also had the hot tots that came with queso dip. The food was really good actually. The chicken sandwich surprised me at how flavorful it was. Service was okay. The kitchen seemed swamped, so it took awhile for food to come out. They didn't check on us super frequently. Overall, the food was good, and the people that I went with enjoyed the bottomless mimosa deal.

Let me just say, I bloen away. My co-workers raved about this place and I was shocked I never heard…read moreof it. I mean, I really do try to stay up on the best restaurants in Chicago but I NEVER heard of it. When I reached out to a friend who is a popular food influencer , he never heard of it either, so we immediately made a date. My friend dropped me off at Daisies on a Tuesday evening, while he looked for a park. When I walked in, the ambience was so electric and enticing I just knew we were in for a treat. I couldn't believe how packed it was for a Tuesday, and when I was shown right to my table by the friendly hostess, I was even more impressed. When my date came in, our waitress appeared. She was beautiful, friendly and ready to show us a great time. She gave us the menu run-down, readily answered our questions and got the show on the road. For a cocktail, I ordered the Sour, in the Green, a delightful and refreshing blend of mezcal, soka, green strawberries and tarragon. My date, a beer lover, ordered the Moody Tongue pilsner and Spiteful IPA, which he loved. For apps, I was told the house-made ruffles with onion dip were a must-have but she said, unfortunately, they were out. Awww, bummer! However, she appeared moments later and said she was able to secure the VERY LAST ORDER just for us. Game? Who knows, but when that order was placed in front of us and we dove in, and were more than satisfied. Our other app were the delicious potted carrots...a puréed delight containing pickled carrots, duck fat, and gnoccho fritto. Yum! As for entrees, I ALMOST went with the duck bolognese but when she described it as an elevated Hamburger Helper, I quickly declined. I haven't made HH since...EVER, so I wasn't about to order it on a rare night out with an amazingly handsome man, so I went with the lamb sugo. And it was all that. He ordered rigatoni and let's just say it was out of this world. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Service was on-point and everything one could want in a date night. I pride myself on choosing great restaurants and that's why I rarely leave bad reviews. Daisies lived up to its hype and I can't wait to go back!

Had a reservation 6pm on a Saturday. Such a cozy space with very friendly and attentive staff…read more Apps: Started with the French onion dip + smoked trout roe, and cabbage w beef tongue. The potato chips the dip came with were massive, fantastic, ruffle cut slices. Dip was good, trout roe ($18) gave it that extra pop of flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the beef tongue, so tender and balanced with textures and acidity. Mains were: Pappardelle (mushroom and carrot ragu) - I liked this best out of the three pastas, pasta was very tender. Cappelletti (beef, celery root fonduta) - felt a little under al dente in the sections where it was pasta pressed against pasta. The beef filling was on the average side, a simple, braised beef. Strozzapreti (duck bolognese + parm reggiano) - pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce leaned salty. Our half chicken arrived once we were finishing the pastas. Juicy and tender, with the fat/skin rendered out nicely. The sauce was good, but felt the chicken itself was lacking seasoning/flavor. The remaining duck ragu came in handy for extra saltiness. Finished the meal with the terrazzo cheesecake, and gelato scoop trio (roasted vanilla, peanut butter cookie dough brownie, and frutti di bosco sorbet). Cheesecake was light and wiggly, definitely contained some gelatin and cubes of strawberry jello; not too sweet. I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato the most, was very tasty mixed with the sorbet to make a little pb and j concoction. They also gave a little slice of chocolate cake as we were there for a celebration. Overall, appetizers were a hit, with the dessert coming in second, and entrees following thereafter. Was ~$240 w the included 25% service fee between 3 people. The food feels like 3.5 stars as the food was inconsistently good across courses, but the service/ambiance pushes it to a 4. Worth a try if you can get a reservation.
