This establishment was quite interesting. There's a diner in section at the front towards the street and in the rear has a bar with two booths. This is a lounge, where you can linger and drink, but it looks more like a small restaurant to be. The bartender was quite friendly. We ordered the nachos, Margherita pizza and shrimp tacos. The bartender told us we were going to be full for days. The nachos was delicious. It uses a different type of cheese that was not the conventional yellow cheese, pepper jack. Because of this, i wanted to try it. It was something new and was shareable in size. It is a good choice with a group. The shrimp tacos were also good. Based on the previous reviews here, it is a must try as the flavor was impressive. The pizza was fair. It didn't blow me away and is above your regular fast food take out pizza. It is pretty decent in size to take room in your gut with the alcohol, but don't expect it to blow you away with flavors. Overall, nice hang out spot, great staff, and food pretty good if you're going to share. Give this spot a shot. read more

We were near by looking for a spot to eat and watch the Lakers game. My lady saw this spot while driving on Greenleaf which is the main street on downtown Whittier. Plenty self parking in the back, btw sneaky hidden the location. We walked and the bartender told us to take seat. The spot was small but very quiet one other couple they watching the game and drinking. They do have food limited, but had sliders and pizza with 2 sangrias which awesome. The food good, but best it was chill they play music while the game is on no sound, it was refreshing because we were able to awesome conversations with each other while eating and watching the game. Restrooms were. Lean but tiny again I am 6'2 it work for her she is 5'2. Later some regulars came in and that homie feeling definitely must stop and we are making plans to come again. read more

They have limited seating with tables. And about half a dozen seats at the bar. They had a DJ every time I went. The Santa Pub crawl was on the weekend. And NYE well it always has music. They have one waitress which was very nice and attentive. The manager helped us get a table on the Pub Crawl. It's more like a neighborhood bar. But in Uptown Whittier. The regulars there seem to know each other. But are very welcoming. They have food but mainly bar food. It takes a while to get food when the place is packed. So order as soon as possible. The place has security in the entrance. And you can wear casual clothes. But don't worry if you are dressed nice. Seems like a mixed crowd. I've been here before a while a go. Stopped here for the first time this past Friday. Had some fries which were really good. Tried their spicy shrimp and rice plate and man was that delicious !! The spicy sauce had some really good flavor and just the right amount of spice ! I had a couple of their hibiscus Margarita BEST drink. I've been coming to Spin Lounge since I was 21 years old (I'm now 37). I've seen this bar go through many changes, but one thing that has remained consistent is the amazing food, music, ambiance, and vibes. The place is small, but it is so much fun to hear a dj and vibe out to music. Even when there is no music, it's worth it just to come for the delicious food and amazing drinks. My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner a few weeks ago. We love the hand crafted cocktails. They are seriously the best in whittier. We shared a cheeseburger. It was so flavorful, and the fries were salty and hot. We also split a side salad and mozzarella sticks. Both were fantastic. The mozzarella sticks are hand breaded. I'd definitely order all those things again. I've tried so many items throughout the years that it's hard to pinpoint a favorite. All I know is that even though I no longer live in Whittier, I still make an effort to come out and support this place because it holds a special spot in my heart. read more

I used to like this place but the bartenders pick the music and don't care to please the customers. The waitress was rude as well. They played bob Marley all night which I like but when I'm drinking it's nice to have a variety I kindly asked JOSH for a song and he said this was the playlist he picked for his shift and he couldn't change it. We've had the nachos, sliders, and took the waiter's recommendation and got the chicken burrito recently. Oh my mm mm mm good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think they need to invest in some printed menus already. It has an authentic Mexican flavor that reminds me of my moms cooking but with a modern twist. What stands out most is the consistency; every time we come the food is the same great quality. The food also reasonably priced, I spend less here than I would at other brunch's and I will get more food. Well I already know this place is more geared to the younger crowd. Were in the new 30's age range - not; 40 & not exactly dead. Thinking if we came early afternoon it might not be too bad. I was wrong. The smell everyone talks about is there, I can't describe the smell, it hits you, but like the fog, you just can't figure out what it is? Didn't eat there, so can't comment on that part, although the smell would be a red flag not to want to eat there. Why did we go there again...oh yea they have Hangar 24, but only Columbus IPA (Orange Wheat - don't know if they ran out or don't carry it anymore...website shows they should). Now that tasted good, a little steep for a pint, but considering in Uptown everything there is a little on the "cha-chingy" side. The bartender was kinda a douche. Waitress was Ok. The clientele there were mostly 20-30 something year-olds so it's age appropriate. But thinking back to my youth the people in charge or servicing always did seem cold and mean to the younger generation, but have no problem taking their money. But why would one that age want to be treated like shit for patronizing a business just for being young? The only thing good about this place was the music. Pass on this one. read more

Now I've been here every single weekend supporting since they've opened for brunch. My ultimate favorite is the chicken and waffles, and you can tell why if you see the picture. It's mouth watering with all the fresh fruit, syrup, and that tangy, smoky, spicy secret sauce they all put over it. My other favorite is their beef Barbacoa chilaquiles. It's very unique, with different flavors pulling you in many directions. We are drinking, which leads to laughing and joking around. We weren't that obnoxious table that annoys the crowd. We were laughing and having a good time!
