I have been training with Bobby since 2009, before he owned his own gym. It has been a pleasure watching him utilize his formal education in exercise and endless passion to create the most beneficial program for all ages. He has truly put everything into his career as a trainer, and his clients' results are proof. It is hard to avoid sounded slightly corny when talking about my experience with him as well as at Spindell Strength and Conditioning. My life has been drastically changed mentally and physically. I now lead a more fit, energetic, and focused lifestyle in all areas. There has not been one personal goal that has not been reached at SSC, including a long time dream of deadlifting 300 lbs which was accomplished last week. As a woman especially, I find it extremely important to let go of the stigmas and fears of resistance training. NO you will not get too bulky and NO you will not look "manly". I am familiar with this irrational thinking because I used to be one of those girls addicted to cardio and petrified of weights. I remember how frustrated it used to be to spend hours on a treadmill with little to no results and the constant battle with calorie counting. Bobby's enthusiasm and attitude was contagious from the moment I met him. He deeply cares about everyone he trains as not only clients, but as friends. After training with him for only a few months, I knew I had found my nitch. His program has given me something to show for all of my hard work. Four years later, I now train three times a week at Spindell Strength and Conditioning with a group. The team-like environment pushes me farther than I ever thought possible while still maintaining friendly competition that we all need to progress. I have shared this gym to family as well as friends, and everyone who has joined has seen undeniable results and personal achievement. In undergrad I was an athlete. Not the most fit, not the best, but I had the mindset and was dedicated to training. Then college was over, sports ended, and life happened. Working out wasn't habitual anymore. I worked 40+ hours per week. Then I went to school for my master's and sat in a classroom/library forever. I graduated, got a new job- this time 55+ hours/week. About a year into the job, over 6 years since really working out, fed up with diet fads and 20+ lbs overweight I found Spindell Strength and Conditioning. It sounds lame, but in a sense this gym brought me back to life. Within a few months (when I would have normally quit a diet/exercise program) my energy had returned and increased, the workouts weren't boring, and this felt sustainable. Well, it has been! Whether your goals are weight loss, increasing strength, becoming a better athlete, increasing muscle tone, your aim is a change. I found that head trainer, Bobby Spindell's, training plans are results driven, with both universal programming as well as tips to what worked best for my body, and the results are worth it. Two years ago my life was rest days, now I dread them. With the persistent guidance of coach Spindell and collaborative daily motivation of my classmates (my SSC #fitfam!!) training is no longer a chore, but what I look forward to every single session. The group strength training classes are my favorite, with well-rounded programming that targets all major muscle groups and the focus varying by class throughout the week. More importantly the session is fun! You've got gym-mates to empathize when the workout is tough coupled with a trainer that just will not let us quit. OMG, I have never join a gym and looked forward to working out. I have been a member of Spindell for 5+ months and I am loving it. When I first join I had very weak knees. I could barely climb, nor go down stairs. Five months into the program and I am climbing and going down stairs. I am loving the way I feel. My husband tells me all the time, "I have never seen you so active." The trainer there knows how to push me. I really like him because he never allow me to give up on myself. He has a lot of patient. He is very dedicated to his work, as well as, his gym members. The workouts are never routine; always something new or different. For the first time in my life, my workout is not boring. At the age of 54, I am feeling stronger and I am loving it. I am enjoying life more now, than ever. I am looking forward to the next 5+ months at Spindell. I never used to workout because I cringed at the thought of going to a gym.. Until I started training at Spindell Strength and Conditioning ! After having my daughter, I struggled with dieting and what I believed was productive exercises only to see insignificant results. Then, I was introduced to the amazing coaching and programs at SSC less than a year ago. I am now in the best shape of my life! I am stronger than I have ever been, leaner, and happier. I've been training with Bobby for 18 months and look forward to every session. He is very encouraging and helps you reach your goals and beyond, or for me, beyond more than I ever thought possible. My main goal when I started was to be healthy and keep my bones strong. Now I am so excited by what I can lift and do and how it has improved my every day living. My knees and back used to hurt. I used to see the chiropractor once a month. Now, no more pain and no more doctor visits. Now, I know you won't believe this, but I actually grew a 1/2 inch at my last physical. I think my spine is straighter from the training, resulting in better posture, hence the 1/2 inch growth. I really enjoy the small group workouts, maybe 3-5 people. I have never looked forward to working out EVER...but now I do! I was nervous to come to my first class but from the moment I walked in I immediately felt comfortable. I am very out of shape so I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to handle it. And, truth be told, sometimes I can't! But, the trainers are so patient and extremely helpful. They take the time to explain everything to me and show me correct form. They never get annoyed, even when they have to show me how to have correct form for the hundredth time! I feel comfortable asking questions about what the exercises are and how to use the equipment. I do things in there that I would never have imagined I could do! And, the people who attend are the same way. The encouragement that I feel in there is amazing. read more

I wanted to add strength training to my routine but HATE gyms. My neighbor told me about SSC and Bobby, I joined the group she was in. One of the best decisions I ever made. Very comfortable atmosphere, nice people, everyone is so supportive of each other and Bobby customizes the work outs to your ability. I have far exceeded any expectations I had of my abilities.
