I spent a couple days here bowling with my kids when I was visiting Kent. Had a lot of fun here and enjoyed bowling immensely. Lots of different game styles on their scoreboards. Even measures mph when you throw. Pretty cool. Drinks at the bar are relatively cheap. Food is subpar but they don't spend a lot of money on good kitchen equipment and it shows. Absolutely not any fault of the employees. Owner just has to upgrade their menu and kitchen. Food was overpriced for what it was. Bowling was also a little expensive. 66 bucks for 3 people and 3 games. read more

Old school bowling alley! I had a blast and the establishment is very laid back. Manager is so sweet and I honestly felt like a little kid that was transported back to the 90s! I highly recommend coming here. The food is that greasy unhealthy bowling alley food that we all love. They have a full bar. read more

Very sad that this man has to do this cause they will not fix the roof come on you added this big game room cause you said it make.money well you also charge us more to bowl and more for leauge bowlers to bow what going.on fix the roof and also can you add another ac with all the bowlers in there it hot and ours never work thanks that we were getting someone.that wanted to.make.a.nice.place to.be I guess I thought wrong this place.is.going down hill so bad if you don't give your employes the ok to get stuff done than why even have a place. read more

Went out with my friends Saturday 5/17 to celebrate the end of the semester and say goodbye to a few friends I won't see until the fall. The service we received was probably some of the worst I've ever received and it genuinely put a damper on the night. We got there around 8, and knew that it would be fairly busy so our expectations were not high. They were not super busy at first so our party of 6 asked for 1 hour and shoes. The older woman working immediately got snippy with us saying we wouldn't be able to finish a game (we just wanna roll the ball lol). She was trying to get us to buy the cosmic which was $20 a person. We only wanted to do an hour because it was $5 plus shoes and we wanted to get some drinks at the bar. Instead we got sass and she was so pushy and rude that we contemplated leaving. My friends really wanted to spend time together so we decided to just buy two hours and shoes so the woman would relax. We then requested to be put on the side by the bar, which didn't have very many kids (because we are college kids who wanted to go to the bar), but we were practically yelled at for asking. We were totally ok being put wherever but she did put us over there, with a few eye rolls. We got some beers and in two hours ended up playing 3 game, which made us even more angry that we were forced to spend more money than we wanted. All of us felt uncomfortable with the interaction and I doubt any of us ever return, especially when there are other bowling alleys in the area who do want our patronage. read more

It is not much with regards to high end bowling, but yet it is everything you need. Great service, great prices, a snack bar, a full bar, bowling lanes, shoes and balls. It is a great time for family and friends. Tue-Thur is $2.50/person/round. read more

If it says you have open bowling it be a good idea to have open lanes. How hard would it be to post when you have leagues? Showed up and every lane was reserved for league play. With a website, Facebook and Yelp you'd think you'd be able to let the public know what is available when. read more

Bill White's Twin Star Lanes is what you would expect from a stereotypical bowling alley: greasy food, lots of people, a bunch of lanes and friendly staff members. I visited Twin Star Lanes for a sorority social. Although there were approximately 40 lanes, it felt really crowded. The staff was super friendly and helped when there was an issue with putting our names on the game. There were actually a bunch of different food options like fried pickles, pizza, grilled cheese, etc. The prices were very reasonable as well! I didn't order any food, but I most likely will if I bowl here in the future. Overall I had a really nice experience bowling here, and this was one of my favorite sorority socials. read more

Best bowling alley in the area and now owned by a veteran of the bowling business (Bill White) who has experience revamping some lanes in Akron. Features 40 lanes total and a clean facility with ample space between lanes with table areas for spectators and players, large flat panel computerized score displays and TVs broadcasting sports. They frequently sell out for "cosmic" bowling on Friday and Saturday nights so be sure to get there around the start time (recently 10pm) to take advantage of 3 hours of fun late night, black light, all you can bowl for $10 per person (incl. shoes.) Decent equipment like standard rental shoes and the bowling balls are in much better shape than other local competitors. Bumper pads, ball ramps, and arcade for the kiddos; decent food from the snack bar, cold brewskies from the Linebacker Lounge, seasonal leagues of all sorts, and specials running various days of the week means there is plenty to keep everyone happy! read more

I loved this place as AMF Twin Star Lanes, and with a new owner, things haven't changed. This place is still very clean, well stocked and has extremely helpful and very friendly staff. I have my own bowling shoes, so I can't attest to the rental ones for adults, but my kids use the rental shoes and they always look clean, well taken care of and they don't smell. Food is mediocre, but drinks are plenty. Plenty of parking. read more

I called in advance to ask what hours they have open bowling. I was told they have open bowling until 5:15pm. I arrived at 1:35 with two children. The man working the counter, while figuring out what lane to put us on, casually mentioned that they have league play at 2:15 so we could only bowl until 2:00. I asked if we would get kicked off our lane if we were in the middle of a game and the response was, "we have league play at 2:15 and we use all the lanes". I told them to orient their employees better as I specifically called in advance to avoid this situation. We went elsewhere. read more

My husband loves to bowl, and he drags me here every time he gets a hankering for it. And this place is just amazing. The lanes are always in good condition, and the shoes are definitely the best taken care of that I've seen at a bowling alley. I always bring my friends and family visiting here, too, when we can't find anything else to do. read more
