It's been years since I've been here. The place was great, was clean and staff was friendly.

I've been here a few different times -- for my cousins' graduation parties and just for normal bowling--and have always had a decent experience. On my most recent trip, I noticed that they've upgraded the scoring machines so they're a lot more easy to use, plus you get a few different options for the background on the TV, which my little cousins loved. We did 2 games of bowling for 4 people + shoe rentals, and it was like $40, which is kinda pricey, but also not a terrible way to kill a couple of hours during the summer. read more

There's a million & one places to find a burger in this, or any other American city for that matter, but I selected this local bowling alley for today's solo lunch. I never thought I'd use college level algebra until today, but it sure came in handy while ordering a Mushroom & Swiss burger with fries, I was informed that they were out of the 1/2 lb. patties, so I suggested that the burger slinger use two 1/4 lb. patties instead. The burger was fantastic - if you're looking for artery-clogging goodness - and being the trained nutritionist that I am, I quaffed two Bud Lights to wash away any residual cholesterol. * Also, just to show you how behind-the-times I am, I commented on the bowling pin-shaped beer bottles and the waitress looked at me as if I came from a different planet. This has become our "neighborhood" bar. It's cozy, close to our home, and unpretentious. The beer selection is decent. I can get a Great Lakes or Guinness and my husband can get his Budweiser or Labatt. It's a fun place to bowl for leagues or open bowling. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. It's got great kitsch. It's doesn't have amazing vegetarian food selections but I don't expect it to. It's bar food. The grilled cheese is cheese and bread that's grilled. The french fries are salty and hot. We've spent the whole night eating free popcorn. Mmmm popcorn. My best friend had her wedding reception here and it was the best! We danced! We bowled! Whoever the guy at the counter was tonight couldn't have left a more horrible impression. It was giving RUDE and RACIST. We all were carrying our own bags and he took the time to chase us down stating that we needed to pay even though we already had a party there and were going to set our bags down then head to the counter, thank for jumping to conclusions. We then got charged an extra 3 games and shoe rental, he did not take any accountability nor did they apologize for the mistake, they just handed us the cash that they over charged and said "you can go bowl now". Fries were soaked in oil and the Ginger Ale was flat. Will be sure to not come back or recommend this place to anyone. We are extremely disappointed with the service. read more

Went for open bowling, had a buddy in from out of town and were looking for some low key things to do on his last before his long flight home to San Fran. Their open bowling, didn't start til 9:30, after all the league's, which is understandable. So, we stayed and had a beer at the bar. Seems to be friendly, use to go here all the time growing up, for bowling, and sea legs w/butter, it was a staple snack for years growing up in HTS. read more

Took our family there today. About 12:30. Place was clean so I'll give them that but the woman at the front desk was by far the rudest most miserable person I have ever encountered. I want to support a neighborhood place but if you want return customers put her back in the office. She obviously has no customer service skills and will only hurt your business. read more

The atmosphere is fun on certain nights and the drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Food is a little bit pricey for what you get but taste good. Open bowling is a little steep but is on par with other centers. The staff can be somewhat straight forward but are nice. It is a nice facility but my only gripe is the cleanliness has gone down hill. The floors are dirty, the tables and seats aren't wiped, but the restrooms are clean. read more

So... I learned on a recent trip, there is not a lot to do in Ohio. Enter...Yorktown Lanes. Its bowling. Which is fun...especially when you are drinking cheap drinks from the bar. I recommend a double... because prices are that good! The lanes themselves are clean and clear. Ball selection needs some help. I could not find a 9 lb ball for the life of me. They were unorganized and it delayed the fun. Otherwise, not a bad place for a game or two. read more

Yorktown lanes is the best place to bowl on Sundays because that's the only time I bowl is on Sundays. The drinks are cold and so are the women. But that's the way I like it! Always clean and we'll staffed if you have an issue. read more

Good place to meet up with friends. Didn't bowl last time I went but can't beat a pitcher of beer for $7 on a Saturday night. My friends there that did bowl enjoyed themselves as well. Visited the lanes on a Sunday with a group of people that needed 4 lanes. Ordered a Swiss Mushroom Burger and a medium Root Beer with no ice at the snack bar. There were no mushrooms and about a 1/4 of the cup was filled with ice. The medium cup was more of a small cup. The burger wasn't the best. The cashier (T) was a bit snotty. It would be nice to be able to get in a little practice bowl but the machines won't allow it. Even though there are steps down to the bowling area, it's a bit much to walk in front of the people sitting on the "ledge" to the steps and back to the alley. Therefore, it was way too much to step up and down the ledge to the alley. That is shear stupidity to put a table and chair up higher than the alley floor. Hopefully, if you ever remodel, the table and chairs will be brought down to the alley floor. read more

My friend was bringing her kids here to cosmic bowl- we wanted to hang out and drink. They basically told us we couldn't stay unless we paid the $15 fee to bowl. Why? We were going to eat and drink and not bowl. There was an entire bar full of people there that I'm guessing weren't going to get charged. The lady literally stared at us until we left. I go here every week for bowling with my wife, decent place, I like the concept of their layout, my only issue is that recently their WIFI is no longer working, with the day and age of having free internet, they have somehow turned it off, when you bring it up to their attention, they say it's online. That's probably my only complaint is that the employees aren't always attentive or polite. read more

We signed up for the kid's bowl free for the summer program. Went today and was turned away. The owner claimed he had some special program going on. There were 25 open lanes and they should have accommodated us.e Unfortunately, we didn't pay to bowl in the dark. For a business that is struggling to draw people, this owner has some lessons to learn. While I suggested a sign posted would have fixed the issue, he stayed with the excuses. I could take all of that lame business practices. However, here's what I got from his employees. They started giving each other thumbs up for turning us away before we left. Had horrible service on a Tuesday night before six. I understand it was league night, but there are 40 lanes and not even half the lanes were being used. I had two kids and myself...they said they didn't have bumpers? The pricing on line said $2.50 per game for kids 5 and under plus $1 shoe rental. They totally charged a random price and didn't think they were wrong. Food is expensive and they were overall just nasty to a mother entertaining two kids. It isn't the Ritz people. It was disappointing since I had just had a birthday party there a few weeks back and it was so great! I thought this could be a place I took my girls and could have great inexpensive family time. I take my kids there sometimes but I think I will be going somewhere else because the old bags at the front desk either don't know what planet they are on or the one older lady with glasses who I think is in charge is as rude as they come. Went there with my kid and lady acted like I was bothering her being there because the bowling leagues were going to be starting in a hour and a half. Would of left but my kid was looking forward to playing. BTW, this was not the first time this has happened there but I blew it off the first time.
