The gymnastics instruction is OK, but parking is WAY insufficient. The waiting area for parents inside is bleachers... that's OK, but area for the younger siblings is inadequate adults are constantly getting run over by the rolling toys, smacked in the face by toys and balls, etc. there NEEDS to be an enclosed play area. My granddaughter enjoys the classes, which is why we come, but everything else about the center is pretty annoying. If they expanded the parking, and redesigned the waiting area, they would be much more likely to get 5 stars. read more

We just left the worst birthday party, ever at: Spirals Gymnastics 1003 Magnolia St Mansfield, Texas 76063 (817) 473-4944 This was obviously a birthday celebration for a child. However, it appeared to be ran more like a boot camp. There were 2 people in charge. 1 female who was extremely angry with a very sour attitude. I never once saw her smile, only noticed her growls. The young man wearing a royal blue spirals t shirt was the other "party host". This is where I have the BIGGEST complaint. He asked my son "Are you retarded, because I think so". NOT OK. 1. My kids are no angels, however they have been raised with an uncle with special needs. They know you do not use that word for any reason. 2. The death of that same uncle mentioned above has not been an easy road. Yesterday, was one of the days my boy had a meltdown over Ross, so yes, the pain is still very raw. You DO NOT talk like that to kids, adults or any human UNLESS you're willing to get your f'g a$$ kicked. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN A PARTY HOST TALK LIKE THAT??????? WE ALL KNOW THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME. Brock came to me before the party was over and said "mom can we leave right now". I said yes but knew something wasn't right for him to want to leave a party before being drug out. We get into the car and my boys broke down. They are not pussies. They are so sensitive about their uncle and they know the R word is an insult. I called up there and no answer. I am not done here. This is unacceptable. If you know the owners please let them know what a trash company they own and I'll be spreading the word all over. read more

My middle kiddo attended a birthday party here a few years ago, and I stayed through the whole thing because even just watching was great fun! The drill sergeant, uh, party leader Aaron was such a hoot - he put those kids through their paces! The kids do really basic gymnastics moves and run around like crazy people for about an hour - then they got to have refreshments and take a breather during presents. My daughter had a great time, and was so exhausted in a way that cake-and-soda sugar-rush couldn't touch. EXCELLENT. I am totally ecstatic because I've been wracking mah branes trying to come up with a good birthday party idea for my youngest two combined - turning 9 and 5. Zoo ? Okay, but it closes early and what if it's rainy or cold? Rock climbing? The little ones need extra help from parents who sometimes they just want to escape kid-free for a few hours! Ditto ice skating, especially for the 5-year-old contingent. Alley Cats is cool, but spendy for a combo-party quantity of kids, and the little ones will be pissed that they can't laser tag. There's a Pump It Up party just two weekends before, and copy-catting is lame. See what I mean? I'm so glad I remembered these guys! 14 kids for 1.5 hours of exhausting, coma-inducing fun starts at just $160; extras are $10 each. My 9-yr-old especially will be very happy to add horseback riding for just $50!! Crazy good bargain. They have a few other add-ons available - zipline, archery, swimming (weather permitting, obviously), indoor rock wall... dood. I SO scored. They even provide all the cups, plates, cutlery, balloons and even soda! I'm bringing Cici's (Taskmaster Aaron even suggested asking Cici's to cut it in 16 pieces instead of 8. Man's got serious experience!) from up the street and a big-ass cake from Costco. Done. I most definitely do NOT recommend Spirals!! My son, who is a very hyper little boy with the biggest heart, kept getting in trouble for hitting during preschool. This is not like him whatsoever. I asked him each time why he was hitting and each time I did, he told me he was being pushed and teased. I brought this to the teacher's attention and she said that she hasn't seen anything. She hasn't even seen my son hitting but he was being made to sit out of activities as a consequence. So I am not sure why punishment was being served when the teacher saw no inappropriate behavior. The stories were not adding up. Also my child is only three years old and he is having to defend himself!!! I was employed with Spirals for a short time teaching gymnastics classes. I have A LOT of experience with gymnastics. I have traveled around the world competing and I'm actually a world champion gymnast. When I told them I was moving on, they used my son against me. They told me that he's the one that's suffering because he will no longer be welcomed there. Spirals is not the only one providing preschool services. There are many preschools that are closer to me and I'm sure they keep a better eye on their kids than Spirals does. I also was being talked to like I have no idea how to do gymnastics when I probably have seen more than them during my gymnastics career. They would have me coach the same technique for each kid which is a big mistake. Every child is different and what may work for one kid, might not work with another. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they volunteered me without informing me to teach preschool during the day AND coach the gymnastics classes in the evening. There was no prior communication about this. This would make for a very long day for me. That would've put me working 12 hour days Monday through Friday. I'm a full time mom, dad, and student and they just assumed that I would add more to my already busy and hectic schedule. They are extremely short staffed and have a really difficult time keeping people around (I wonder why). Even one of the long-time coaches told me they have a hard time keeping people around for "throwing employees to the wolves and lack of communication". Needless to say, this is not the gymnastics and/or preschool for your child. Their prices are cheaper than some gyms and preschools but you get what you pay for. read more

I really can't say enough about this place. My boys have been going for years - my little goes to Edventure Camp and my big goes to the day camps and gymnastics here. THEY BOTH LOVE IT!! They love all the teachers they love all the things they get to do. They LOVE Friday night fun night. Really, you couldn't ask for a better/more caring staff than the one they have. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Miss Ally works so hard to create memorable activities for the kids! Each week she brings something new to camp, and my grandson has had a blast!!! The horseback riding, the nonstop play which includes activities that are specifically designed to build teamwork, agility, and coordination, are the icing on the cake! This is for the Ed-Venture camp for 3-5 year olds. I paid $210 for my 3 and 5 year old to attend one week of class. Included was a $10 registration fee, and a $10 fee for paying in advance and holding the spot. The first day I took them, I was greeted by the woman behind a desk and instructed where to go. The building is very small, and hard to maneuver when carrying an infant carrier and 3 small kids at my side. The first couple of days didn't quite meet my expectations. They were both excited to come home, and didn't talk about their day much. The first day my son came back begging for water, and said they gave him juice but no water. When we got home I hadn't even put my stuff down and he was getting water. One of those days they rode a horse and came back completely covered in mosquito bites, and smelling like bug spray. After the first day I was barely greeted at the door, the woman at the desk just gave a quick glance over from her computer to say hello. Anyone could just walk in there. I picked them up 5 minutes late one day and there were kids running all through the halls, a child was on the table in the "classroom" and when my daughter was using the restroom the door was open with a teen girl standing watch in the very busy/tiny hall. So anybody that walked by could see her. They were never really excited to go, but always to come home. On Wednesday my daughter said some things that were highly suspicious to me regarding her bathroom experience which is why we just quit going. She told me she didn't want to go back because it's scary, and she wants to stay home with me. Not even a week into the camp and we quit. I can't imagine a whole summer there. Horrifying. I can tell the lady doing the camp for their age group was overwhelmed and I wouldn't be surprised if she lost her temper with the little ones. read more

Upon first glance at their website, the pictures and information given on the website seemed like a dream come true. When I got there , that was another story. The place is absolutely filthy, dirty, and the teachers are not very skilled. One day I went to the back entrance where the ED-Venture camp was and heard a teacher yelling and screaming at the kids and i heard her say " would you stop doing that , how stupid are you?!". I could not believe my ears. Overall this is not a place I would recommend for your children especially on the ED- Venture camp side. Be careful. read more

My son attended one day of edventure camp and I was not comfortable enough to let him return. This is NOT a day camp, it's a daycare. The facility is dirty! My son was badly burned on his face after swimming in their care. I had applied sunscreen before dropping him off but apparently it was not reapplied. Another child fell on my son and hurt his back and my son couldn't breath. Not a single person informed me of this when I picked up my son. Highly unprofessional! Too many teenagers in charge and not nearly enough adults, in my opinion. When I called to let them know my son wouldn't be back and why, I was told the owner would be calling me bc "they don't like to see kids not return." I'm writing this review a full five days later (last day of camp for the week my son was supposed to attend) and not a single call from the owner. Obviously they don't care about their clientele. Be very cautious when sending your child to their edventure camp. Would NOT recommend. read more
