I rang this hospital last week to make an appointment to see my consultant. It was even more tortuous a process than trying to get an appointment to see my GP. I started the process at 9.45 and eventually received a call back from someone at 3pm to make the appointment. I was rather taken aback to be asked for my credit card details, even though I had my BUPA details and authorisation number for that appointment to hand. For an outpatients appointment, no other hospital has demanded credit card details in addition to insurance details.
As this hospital is a long journey for me, I've decided to make the appointment at an HCA hospital slightly nearer. I've just phoned Spire Bushey to cancel my appointment and they had no record of it anyway!
Perhaps as an inpatient the medical and nursing care is very good but the administration leaves a lot to be desired and would discourage me from using this hospital. read more
