Hope you're reading this corporate :) Currently I believe they only fly from Reno to Burbank or Orange County which is non-stop, but use to fly direct to Las Vegas a few times a day. Here are a couple of tips for you though! -You can't park your car in the JSX parking lot without having to do the valet which I believe is fairly costly so plan ahead and get a ride or do the math and get an Uber if it makes more sense. -Also be ready for a brief random bag check here and there. -Last but not least there is overhead compartments on their jets so even if you have a carry on you will need to hand it off to one their polite employees as it goes under the plane. You can carry on back packs, purses and stuff like that which would fit under the seat in front of you. Happy flying and I almost forgot to mention they have complimentary snacks & beverages just like the big boys but even better!!

The not-so-good: We were delayed twice during our trip. First, a tire had to be changed, then per policy a second tire had to be changed. I'm glad they found the problem while the plane was still on the ground, but to my layman's mind it seems it could have been faster to change the tire after all the passengers deplaned. Perhaps they could get training from a Nascar pit crew? Just kidding - I'd rather be safe than take a chance and I'm glad they caught the problem and fixed it. The second delay was on our return trip when another maintenance issue was discovered. Again, I'm glad they caught it, but I wondered why they hadn't caught it sooner as this was the first flight of the day and the plane had been in a hangar all night - seems like it would have been inspected when it first went into the hangar.

I left GSR and merged onto the freeway, drove about a mile, then exited for the airport. It was that quick. I drove up towards the terminals and there was ample parking. Although it says to keep moving, there appeared to be no rush. People were parking in the structure to the west and coming out of the doors of baggage claim to the east to waiting cars or taxis. My friend called and we figured out where he was from me. It was easier for me to stay put and for him to come to me. He had several bags and an airport baggage roller. Once he reached the outside curb where I was parked it was super easy to open up the doors to our SUV and get his bags inside. Back on the freeway for about a mile and we were at the GSR. From my experience, the airport is easily accessible and it's no trouble at all to pick up a friend who has flown in.

My experience has been better than most of…read morethe reviews posted here but that is because I go ahead and spend the extra bucks to fly First Class or Delta Comfort. It is not the luxury flying that it used to be in the past, but I have found the staff both airport based and on the flight to be pleasant and professional. When I have had to make changes to my itinerary, I have contacted the online help desk and was able to get a real person who was very helpful and worked with me to find the most accommodating itinerary. So yes, it is not the Delta it use to be, but it is still pretty good at getting me there and back.

And Alaska Air flies direct (from Reno) to many west coast cities (ensuring that you have a greater chance of making it to your destination). There are many more perks, but hopefully you get the picture. Alaska Airlines is always our first choice. We love them!

Flight was supposed to leave at 6am. Boarding at 520am. Then they have to get thru TSA. Not sure why they didn't stay across the street /. Or why the crew think it is ok to strand 200 people from their flight and connecting flights because of their Poor planning. You would think this would cause for grounding them and getting another crew.... Or a write up or something for their poor decision making.... Affecting all of us.

I think he pushes me and will get me to go to Japan now that I'm out of my comfort zone-.. App is interesting - not used to picking seats (only used to SW).. Per my son- check in a bag so I don't have to carry when connecting flights- done! Saved $5 online- $35 bag fee.. Arrived and staff was very helpful checking bag in and also answering my questions about FT. worth terminals and getting from A to D.. Will see how the flight goes..

As always, I checked my hard sided Pelican gun case secured with 2 large padlocks When i arrived in Dallas my gun case was the first piece of baggage off the carousel. This was odd as guns are typically hand carried to the office. The first thing I notice is there's a padlock missing and the double hasps lined with steel are completely ripped open. I made a beeline to the baggage office The first thing the attendant asks is "Are there guns in there" "There were. Im hoping they still are" He tells me to scan a code and file a claim saying "Guns are supposed to be hand carried here not put on the conveyor " He was right because anyone could have stolen them I start the claim process then walk outside to verify the guns, silencer and everything else is there. They were but now I have no way to transport them home because the case has been compromised AA tells me to either buy another gun case and locks or ship the guns homeand send the receipt for reimbursement. I send pictures, receipts, details, etc. i ask for $400 to pay for the case, shipping, etc AA denies the claim as cosmetic damage even though they admitted i couldn't fly with gunns in this case because it couldn't be locked If you get a live person they lie to you and pass the buck. This ordeal has been going on for 6 weeks. Id rather fly spirit or frontier than these grifters

The new assigned seating is in effect. Some have said it is worse than before, but having an…read moreassigned seat is far easier than wandering the aisle hoping for an aisle or window seat. It also seems to have sped up loading times. The queue prosses is about the same as before. Instead of lining up next to posts with number on them, there are boarding groups 1-6 that will be called out. The main adavantage I can see with having an earlier boarding is making sure you can get a spot for your carry-on. I have been in boarding groups 3-6 on various flights and I always found an overhead spot. There have been a couple flights I was on that were not full, but some rows were empty while middle seats were filled. The flight attendants were strict about staying in your assigned seat even if there were empty rows. On another flight two weeks later there was an empty row in the back, and the flight attendant shuffled a few people around to free up some middle seats. Maybe they are relaxing a little bit about assigned seating if there are empty ones. Loading went about as smooth as it did before the assigned seating went into effect. Service is still great and friendly, flights left and arrive on time, and I will continue to fly with Southwest.

Business trip to Reno for the week and headed back home to Vegas. No complaints, Southwest Airlines…read moregets the job done.

Upgraded $59 extra fee for this "more legroom" seat.

Wasting a whole day, that we could've enjoyed at our destination. This junk-discount airline is just that, you get what you pay for. Cheap seats, flight times changing without notification, and even last second cancelations. And, after baggage and seats and everything else (you're intentionally separated from your party, so you have to pay extra to sit together) it cost just as much to fly with a brand airline, with less hassles. Last time ever with this crap outfit, would cancel, but the cancelation fees are worth more than the tickets. Hope this junk-jet company flounders too.

(Husband and I experienced a bit of claustrophobia in the standard private sleeper car). Travelling Amtrak is not cheap but it is eye-opening and interesting. The salmon and steak plates were surprisingly great! Friendly and quick service in the dining cabin. Snack bar is pretty good and reasonable. I enjoyed the stops, scenery and the people. There are beautiful families (Manninites?) with their vibrant clothes colors and white head coverings. The interior feels like an older train. There is a community shower and toilet. **Grand Junction Station has a wonderful brewery, FOAM & FOLLY. Rush over there to pick up some cans. Let your conductor know as stop at this station can be short some days.

The best way to get from Reno to NYC- overnight…read more Around 4 years ago Jet Blue started serving Reno. A red eye flight to NYC and a mid morning flight to Long Beach. The service isn't every day, but the value has worked for my schedule. Recently leaving Reno at 11:00 pm and arriving at JFK around 8:30am. The return trip leaves JFK at 7 pm and comes home at 10. These flights give two days to enjoy the city, where other airlines you loose a day or so coming and going. A fabulous deal at $200. Complementary snack choices are great. No peanuts and pretzels here. And you can have more than one. :). There are snack boxes available for $8-9. The usual wine and spirits are also available for purchase. Free wi fi. Screens at each seat. And leg room isn't too tight. Yes ! Can't wait to fly again with them to NYC.
