Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

I have taken my cars to Fred for over 20 years. I drove my 2006 Elantra to 304,000 miles, mainly because Fred maintained it for most of its life. My 2023 Elantra has 50k on it and was recently serviced by Fred. I had a fuel induction/injector cleaning service (I think that is what it is called lol) and the car is running as good as the day it was brand new. I highly recommend Fred and his crew. They are amazing and their prices are fantastic.

I will not list all mechanical issues i have had since day one, but will list the most troublesome issues with this dealership. On May 10th of 2025, I went in to look at a Chevy Colorado. After the trade in i was offered, i decided to go with purchasing the truck. The main thing i said when filing the paperwork, was that i needed a warranty that i could use at other dealerships due to the fact i would be living out of state for a few months for work. Was told the warranty was one i could go anywhere. After covering it, i was handed a paper and told it was a "summary" of what we covered and i needed to sign it. I will get into this later. After multiple issues with the truck since day one, i ended up having a coolant leak with the truck over heating. I took it in to get checked out. I was told by the Service Manager, that it was "normal" for a temp gauge to fluctuate and that i had no leaks. I said it was not fluctuating, it tapped out at 260 clear in the red. He still said that it was normal, and i had no leaks. A few days later, i was broke down on the side of the road with coolant spraying out the back of the engine. I called the next morning to speak with the service manager about towing my vehicle to them at their cost, and his response to me was, "Well i disagree, you did not know it was leaking either." Apparently brining it to them when it was low and overheating, was not an indication that i was aware it had a leak. the next six to seven months i rarely drove the truck due to the job i was doing. This past June, i took the truck in for another leak, this time a transmission coolant line. They "Fixed" the line and sent me home. The next day, the line blew out spilling all transmission fluid out over the engine, and i was broke down on the side of the road, and offered no help to get a tow or a loaner due to it being Saturday and service department not in. I got towed myself to them, and a few days later, they "Fixed" the line again. That night on the way home, same line blew out, same situation. It was towed to them yet again, this time on their dime, and fixed. The next few weeks the truck was not running right, sluggish, no power at all. I filed a complait with the Attorney Genreal this time due to them not able to fix it and not wanting to return. I ended up broke down again. I tried to call the General Manager who had told me the last time i was in after the line blew the second time that i could call her at any time of the day, and she would not return my calls. After taking it to another dealership, come to find out the truck had been stuck in 4 wheel drive, and after some research i found that can indirectly cause transmission lines to blow. I had to pay for the repairs myself because the warranty denied the claim due to the warranty stating that it had to go back to Loudon if i lived within 40 miles. Ther "summary" paper i was handed, yea, that was not it. It was the contract that stated at the bottom i had to bring it back to them, and was never told that. Now, the only thing they are willing to do is refund me a prorated portion of my warranty. Much more to what I have ended up dealing with, but this is the main issues. Do not go to them. They are a horrible dealership, with a service department that cant make repairs, and sell you a warranty making you have to return to them when they cant fix the issues to begin with.

"Come on in! We have [exactly what you said you are looking for at exactly your price point]!" When you get there? It was always a bait and switch. The cars here at greenlight auto sales are filthy--often newly repossessed and still full of the sad belongings of the last person who attempted to purchase them--but they are priced as listed. There is no bait and switch. No credit check required-- half down and drive away today. Some people decry the traditional "buy here pay here" but they are needed by the community. This type of business is always a boon to people who could not otherwise buy a car. Demerit for fibbing about the KBB on the car I drove in, but it's not unusual for places like this to not want trade ins. I recommend always taking any used car to a trusted mechanic before purchase. My longtime (now dead) companion started off selling cars out of his parent's driveway. He always represented himself in court. "Your Honor... I'm a used car dealer!" was basically always his (usually successful) defense. Caveat Emptor-- yeah this is a real Four Star review. Ooh! The funny stuff! Low pressure goes to high annoyance after looking at a few cars. "Why should I!?? You have no money!" But the hilarious part was the way that the guy kept telling us how much his French Bulldogs (" like CELEBRITIES have") cost. LOL LOL For what this place is, it's really good. Don't be afraid to walk away. Keep checking back until they have what you want.

Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. I don't know of many businesses that would've reached out when closed to help someone during a difficult time. I wish I could give Fuerst 10 stars because they deserve it. Thank you, Mike, for your kindness and help.
