And this store is huge and has an enormous amount of inventory. They have a little bit of everything for any kind of event from a birthday to an anniversary and even Halloween costumes. Along with party favors, candy, wrapping paper, etc. etc. etc. We wound up browsing the aisles and we did buy a few things, but not much. At the time, they were just beginning their sales and prices on most items were still a bit high for things that we really didn't need right away. I'm not sure if they're still open, but as a few weeks have gone by that if by now they still are open, I'm sure the sales discounts will be much higher than when we went. In one costume you're a medium. In another, you can't button up the medium to save your life. Annoying. Shop very early so you can return.

This was presented as my only option. Any attempt to cancel was shut down with "there's nothing we can do," despite the dress being completely untouched. I repeatedly asked for help. I repeatedly said I did not want the dress. Over the course of three months, I followed up countless times (at least 15) trying to find a reasonable solution. The dress was not custom, not altered, and cost $1,800--in a store that regularly sells dresses for $10,000+. I offered multiple compromises: sell it in-store, keep a portion, refund only part of the cost, literally anything. I was never expecting a full refund. I was expecting basic problem-solving and empathy. Instead, I was met with rigidity, dismissiveness, and zero accountability. No solutions. No compassion. No effort. The final insult? I was told that if I didn't come pick up a dress I clearly stated I did not want, they would donate it. After taking my money, refusing every reasonable alternative, and ignoring months of communication, they threatened to give it away. That is not policy--that is punishment. Brides, be warned: once they have your money, you are no longer a person to them. You are a transaction. If anything goes wrong, you are on your own. This experience was stressful, humiliating, and completely avoidable if this business had even a shred of customer care. Kids from ages 1-10 were entertained and had a blast. Many kids personally thanked me for such a fun filled event.
