CHRISTmas Lights in the Acres - Ever changing flowing light show set to Christmas music

    CHRISTmas Lights in the Acres

Service: 5 Aesthetic: 4…read moreCleanliness: 1 Efficiency : 5 As a Broward county local this year was the first time my family and I visited Christmas lights in the Acres. You have to reserve date and time on their app : Christmasin the acres, $10 per vehicle which includes a parking spot and free hot chocolate. Service: every volunteer/personnel we encountered were kind and hospitable. From parking to the serving of hot chocolate they were nice and attentive. Aesthetic: the light show was IMPRESSIVE. This is what has made its rounds on social media. There is another section called the North Pole that is made up of Christmas inflatables/decor. That section was pretty cool and drew my toddler in. There was also timed snow and bubble "shows". However, the placement/locations of these machines need to be thought through. People would crowd around and in front of the machines and would congest the main area to walk through to get to and from the entrances of the food, hot chocolate and inflatable section. Having personnel do crowd management would be really helpful and lessen the congestion. Cleanliness: the porter potties were disgusting. The church does not have indoor use of the their bathrooms so they have porter potties which is fine but it was disgustingly. And while porter potties tend to have a rep of being filthy I had just never seen them be this bad. There was no toilet paper urine everywhere and no personnel to clean up or at least do crowd control in this section. Efficiency: reservation through their app is GENIUS! it limits the amount of people and insures your "spot" . Overall, it was a nice family outing and the community enjoys it.

It is by reservation only and to make reservations, you have to download the app and book it on there. When we went, it was $10 per car load and parking was plentiful and organized. It is a walk through experience not a drive through experience. They did a great job with the lights and decor. There was a foam machine to replicate fake snow. There was a section with Christmas inflatibles. There was a hot chocolate stand. They had the music and the lights go in sync with each other. My toddler was amazed and in awe, so were we. If my family and I didn't move away, we would visit this place yearly and make it a tradition!

I am surprised to say that I did not know this location has been here for quite a few years now but that is because I usually go to the location at the Pembroke Lakes mall. However, I think now I will go out of my way to come here because it is so much better! The location has a lot more room and you are able to walk freely around this place without having a fear of bumping into anything and knocking stuff over, especially since they have so many little and large Knick knacks that seem fragile or are pricey. It is a very well stocked location and it seems that they even have stuff that I have never heard of or seen at a couple other hallmark locations that I have been too. The staff is also very friendly and will help assist you with anything you may have whether it be finding an ornament or a specific holiday card, or even helping you order something from online to be shipped to the store. I will be back here again really soon, without a doubt!

This is an amazing Fort Lauderdale Christmas gem!…read more Thanks to my Yelp/Instagram pal Rachel M for telling me about this spot, I had no clue this holiday happening existed. I have never seen anything quite like this, but I'm really happy to have visited this decoration explosion. I had been longing to go to some kind of outdoor Christmas event since it's so warm here in South FL. The Hyatt Extreme Christmas fit the bill perfectly. This home is truly Clark Griswold's dream come true! We arrived with friends about 15 minutes before sunset since I was nervous about how the parking would be. We parked on the lawn, but it did get a bit busier by the time we left. It was stimulation overload with the plethora of festive decorations here, but in a good way. Once the lights came on it was amazing! The numerous decorations here are SO elaborate, I really appreciate the time and effort this family puts into doing this. I especially love all of the palm trees with the holiday lights strung on them. Being from NY, it makes my heart so happy to see this type of tree decorated for the holiday. It does get a little busy here, but I think it's worth doing. If you need a Christmas decoration fix, I highly recommend coming here to get into the holiday mood.

I found all of my favorite brands like Spartina 449, Vera Bradley, Strawflower, Scout, and Bogg bags. They had beautiful clothing for daytime as well as comfy sleep wear. I especially enjoyed looking through the gifts tailored to the home chef and pet lover. The toys and games section was filled with unique finds that would be treasured. Not to mention the delicate and beautiful jewelry sure to bring a sparkle to the eye. I also loved their vast selection of Owala water bottles. BIG SCARY POP UP STORE…read more.. These Spirit Halloween stores are popping up everywhere in closed stores in high traffic areas. They dont vary too much by the amount and type of merchandise but they definately vary by management and staff. This one is a free standing pop up store behind the ABC store off Flamingo Rd and Sunrise Blvd opened two weeks ago. This store has very cool full size movie theme characters some that move and some with sounds. Easy to view most of the sections from any position in the store. They have an adult costume section in addition to a large kiddy costume area. I even saw dog costumes - which were funny. Lots of costume accessories and scary home items like light ceramic type skulls for $9.99. Also, plush scary pillows and creepy dolls. They do not carry men's costumes above 1X Large but you can find them on Amazon. Pumpkin carving kits are also available. Friendly staff quick to assist and answered my questions. Fun place to browse or buy.

It's that time of the year again. Halloween!…read more Every year at this time, Spirit Halloween pops up. Upon entering, there were all kinds of interactive scary, but fun animated experiences for every age. Kids were all around them, laughing and enjoying in the Halloween fun. They had a huge variety of Halloween costumes and accessories to complete any character that you would like to be for Halloween. There was no presence of employees walking around to help. If you need help, you'd have to walk to the front where the cashier was located. I picked out a couple costumes to try on and asked the cashier at the front where the dressing room was. To my surprise, there were no dressing rooms. Her response was that you could try it on over your clothes or you can purchase it and bring it back for a refund if you don't like it. To me that's very inconvenient. I might as well order on Amazon, which had basically the same costumes at a lower price. All in all, it was a fun experience, but left with no costumes in hand. I give Spirit Halloween a 3.5 star rating because of the lack of service and no dressing rooms.
