What a delightful little store! I'll admit, I'm a native, but I had never heard of Spirits Child. After reading the other good reviews, I decided to check it out. Teresa was quick to welcome me and we got to chatting while I looked around. The energy in this store is calming and clear and the store has an amazing selection. They have a wellness room in the back where customers can meditate and/or relax that had some cushions, lights, and calming music. They even had charged water available for free! I'm very happy with the incense burned I purchased and can't wait to go back again! read more

I walked in with an open mind, but the vibe was definitely a little off from the get-go. The workers were friendly, but again, something didnt seem right. I should have trusted my gut. I spent a three-digit amount of dollars here, and the $90+ item ended up being fake. After 5 minutes soaking in jewelry cleaner, see my pix for what happened to my "sterling silver" pendant. Now Im not even sure the stones are real. Look how the back of the pendant is even stamped "925" as if it is real. I have sat with writing this review for three days, and really feel comfortable sharing. First let me say I love the shop, and the energy most times. I stopped in a week and a half ago, and did not know why I was there. I always find things I like, so I bought over 70 dollars worth of items. Very satisfied, and I know I can get these items cheaper online... but I believe in supporting local (especially during this time of COVID -19). So I saw Aitreyia, and booked a 30 minute reading with her. She saw me in the parking lot the day of .. and asked if I was her 1pm reading. I said I was, and I was early. She said cool...let me have a couple minutes, and let's do this. She asked if I was going to have my friend attend. Sure, I have nothing to hide. We go into the room, and it was nice. Everyone sat, and she pulled a few tarot cards. She told me a few things and said my grandmother was over my shoulder. I wanted to ask her what she looked like...because my grandmother (either side) was not close to me. However I missed my chance as she went into a story about her second ex husband. Three or four stories about him...and then she said a few more things to me...(maybe 5 minutes)...and went into several stories about her 1st ex husband. sigh. She said "we will go over 30 minutes...you don't mind my stories...right?" @___@. I did not say a word. It was just too weird. I swear, 20 minutes of hearing about her two ex husbands...and ten minutes, (maybe) of MY reading. She then stood up, hugged us, and said she had some one else who wanted a reading. Artrea came highly recommend by a few people. One day, I decided visit the shop and feel out her energy. I hesitated to book a reading, but ultimately went through with it. I should have listened to my intuition because she was not worth what she charges. In the thirty minutes I sat with her she got off subject and talked about her experiences instead of giving more attention to the reading. After the reading, I was left with a lack of clarity and felt swindled. She's a sweet soul, but I don't plan to return in the future. On a positive note, her shop is nice, the energy is light and there's plenty of merchandise to keep your eyes busy. Downside, it's overpriced. Note to self: Pray. Mercedes & CC are the best! They will Help you with anything and will give you the best advice and make you feel very comfortable to leave those doors and focus on achieving a goal. I went here for the first time and left with basically half the store. My eye caught on a lot. Like the Sage, rings, crystals, necklaces, the candles, and a lot more! The price is worth it. If you value your health, do NOT visit this store. Of all staff, only one was properly wearing a mask and social distancing. I was (briefly) in the store on Halloween, and saw that one woman was in costume, without a mask or social distancing, and was approaching customers and taking pictures with them. The owner had on a mask, but it was pulled below her chin. A third (Employee? Friend?) was sitting in a chair, also without a mask. I heard them telling a fellow customer that they didn't need masks as they were 'safe' because they'd been tested. I know! Obviously they're not paying attention and have no idea (or don't care) that they are endangering themselves and everyone they come into contact with. The owner was very pleasant, and like others experienced, volunteered insight into my current and past lives and expounded on her own past lives. It was interesting, to say the very least. I will have to agree with others: having visited countless other similar establishments across the country with equal expertise, the prices are steep. It was a bit odd that, when I showed interest in a stone, an offer to "come off the price" followed. Cala Lily helped me right away, offered me water, asked the owner for local Arizona items for me, while I used the bathroom, then the owner (I didn't get her name) escorted me around and showed me several things she had that were locally crafted and/or mined in AZ, within my budget. After my purchase, I got hugs and well wishes, and was asked if I would like a few minutes of Reiki from Cala Lily. I did, it was my first time, and what an incredible experience! I have decided to write this for several reasons... 1. And most important... to honor my soul, my spirit, my voice,  and my experience.  (And any others that may have had a similar experience) 2. The truth always deserves to be told.  3. To help so many other innocent souls that have been victims of all the deceit,  manipulation and darkness that lies deep within the walls of Spirit's Child and it's owner, Cathy, aka "aitreyia". I, unfortunately, fell victim to what most do when they come across the owner of this shop .... she presented as compassionate and kind,  giving and knowledgeable.... however,  for the several years I've known her I couldn't shake this underlying feeling that something was off. My intuition told me... she was broken,  lonely and sad.  I should have listened and just stayed away.  But I had compassion for her... I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because she clearly did not present that way. And hey,  let's face it I've been wrong before.  We became acquaintances and would often talk about the spiritual world.  Although,  we did not see eye to eye with everything, we came up with a mutual agreement that we were both touching on the same meanings.  So,  it was my impression that we had a mutual respectful relationship.  When the opportunity presented to help her out at the store on a part time basis I agreed. She was down to one employee, the others had just quit, and the day I was hired the office manager respectfully put in her 3 week notice. Within the first week I quickly felt the transition. The staff are treated like children and then filled with a false love, fake gifts, fake terms of endearment. Her employees are told to follow people around the store, to take items from their hands... all disguised with being kind... the true intention is so they don't steal.  Customers come in broken hearted with questions, fears and concerns... but if she feels they aren't spending money employee's are pulled away from said customers and told to move on. She has done this with several customers mid conversation. (I was mortified when I was forced to walk away from a quiet, venting, broken, crying widow. All I could do was apologize. Her items are said to bought on Fair Trade... while this may be true for a very very small portion of the merchandise most of her products our purchased from China. The standard retail mark up does not exist in this store. Everything has a triple mark up, (Basic example: Bought for $6, standard retail is apprx $12, her method of retail pricing would be $18.95-$21.95), Tarot and Oracle decks bought from TJMax for $18 & on the same day sold for $35-$40. There is no such thing as a discount here guys... that 10% and that 20% .... IT'S ALL FLUFF.  She pays her vendors dirt cheap and will refuse to do business with anyone that won't sell to her at her worth. Often leaving her vendors with pennies while she's making bank. She has torn other readers down right in front of customers.. tells them that they are entirely wrong becoming extremely defensive.  (To the reader that came in and told her (very kindly) if she took better care of her body and released her fears she would feel much better.... I agree with you my love.  You are spot on and not crazy!!!) I have also been witness to Jewish slander, inappropriate sexual comments to customers and service workers, cultural appropriation, I could go on but I think I've made my point with this.  This shop has gone thru 23 (including me) employees in 2.5 yrs. They are not on family leave, they are not on medical leave,  not all stole, lied and/or cheated her like she is saying.. they were all victims of the lies, projections, fears, delusions, manipulations and harsh judgements of the shop owner! She has tried crossing into my energy in order to read me on many occasions... unsolicited and uninvited.. this is a huge no no in my views. Extremely disrespectful in so many ways. Not only has she done this with me but she does this with almost every single person that has comes thru that door.  The one time I did solicit her so called "free" reading (several years ago)... she was all over the place and no where close to making any sense. When I kindly disagreed she implied that I was just unaware of it...I chuckled and let it go.  The Ego here was all I could feel.  So like I said in the beginning...I knew something was off and should have listened. Not only is she broken, lonely and sad.... she's a Covert Narcissist. In my true stubborn Leo fashion, lol, I needed to see for myself. Afterall, experience is one of our best teachers.  I have seen the truth through my experience and I honor my soul by sharing with you.  Take what you like and do what you will. I am someone that believes we all should be treated with respect, dignity and we all deserve honesty within self,  people and society.  Use your voice. Stand up for yourself. The staff here were very nice and there was one lady who gave me a free crystal! I guess if you're 16 and below you get a free crystal because they had a box full of them. I picked out a raw tigers eye from the box and i also bought a amethyst chunk with selenite growing in it from Uruguay. the reason i give 4 stars is because the store is really overpriced when it comes to their crystals. it's double the money here from when i was in Sedona and Prescott. for example there was a piece of lapis in Sedona the size of a mature coconut for $40.00 and here at this store there was a palm stone of lapis for the same price. so basically it's double the price here than other stores. Another thing about the quartz points was they were $4 here and at the metaphysical world a few minutes away the quartz points were $1.50. other than the prices the store had a good vibe to it and the employees were really nice. read more

I was looking for a good metaphysical store in Tucson and came across Spiritschild, somewhat close to home so I was excited to check it out. My first initial reaction when I walked in was "wow this place has lots of wonderful items to help me along my path!" Atraya greeted me with a little cup of tea and let me know if I needed any help she'd be around. I was grateful and the experience started off well. After walking around the store for a bit I began to recognize how when she noticed I was looking at something she would talk it up like crazy and say it was super unique and special. I didn't mind this at first until she did It so many times I realized she was only trying to upsell me on everything (When it comes to spirituality it shouldn't be about the money it should be about authenticity with other beings of this earth). Something else I noticed was that when customers came in, only after they began to purchase something at the register she would give them some of her "insight" on their lives because she's "died three times and came back" and is now enlightened or something. I noticed this was only after they were purchasing something tho which I thought was odd. I ended up deciding on a beautiful $50 mala necklace to assist me in my meditation, having trust this lady was giving me her honesty in her products. The next day I went to put on the mala beads and the whole necklace shattered and beads went everywhere. There was no reason the necklace should've broken if it was good quality like she had explained it to be. And when I put it on it was gentle and minimal tug on the necklace. I called the store right away explaining the necklace broke and I wanted a refund or at least another mala to replace it and they said to call back in the end of sept and they'll have more malas so I can exchange it. So I waited and then went back into the store towards the end of the month and atraya was their apparently rushed and busy and couldn't talk to me much but she said she would let me know when they came in. Also she mentioned many times to like stuff on her Facebook page so I'd be notified when the shipment did come in. In the beginning of October I tried again and again to reach out to her and her excuse was all the hurricanes and fires going on in other parts of the country was the reason she couldn't help me. A good business owner would have said "you know, I promised you the shipment by the end of sept, I'm sorry things have been delayed, come in to the store and I'll fix it for you, or you can exchange it for something else or I'll give you your money back for all the trouble" but no. Just avoidance. I've given up on trying to contact this fraud but I'll never come to this store again and will definitely be spreading the word to not trust this woman or her expensive products. read more

I was in serious need of some peace and serenity in my life. I have been watching Aitreyia on their Facebook page doing live videos and to be honest her positive energy and wonderful aura drew me in. I started my 3-day weekend off by going to her store to soak in the positive energy and get rejuvenated. I sat on the selenite that is in the meditation room and it vibrated under me all the way to my feet, I felt the healing up my spine and down my legs. Walking around the store just felt right, I didn't want to leave the store, I wanted to just sit there in the store for the day and soak it all up. I sat and talked with CeCe one of the girls who works there and it was relaxing to have someone to talk to who doesn't judge you. I found so many things I am going back for, fairies, dragons, candles, incense, teas, oils, tarot cards. I showed both ladies my collection of crystals that I already own and they helped me understand what we have here. I am thrilled that we went there today of all days. I needed to kick off my weekend with positive energy and a rejuvenation of my spirit. I will be revisiting there again hopefully next weekend. Very beautiful store! It is much bigger than it looks in the photos, or maybe they expanded it since the photos we saw online. Either way, beautiful open layout, warm and welcoming energy when you enter. Allot to look at and explore. Staff was super sweet and friendly. I actually really enjoy it when the staff comes up and asks to create a pile up at the counter for you so I don't have to carry around my loot of goodies. I find it frees my hands and I can continue to shop with ease. There is much to look at and you can easily find yourself in the store much longer than expected because there is so much to see. My husband and I found ourselves having conversations with staff, customers and the owner separately throughout our visit. We like to shop at all the different metaphysical stores in area and they all have their own charm and different niches, it was nice to see new variety of products to choose from.
