    Sparkle Clean Car Wash

    Sparkle Clean Car Wash

This car wash is the best around. I've found that 'touchless' car washes just don't clean as well…read moreas the soft cloth washers as this one is. The wash is especially good when the attendant does the pre-wash procedure with spraying and hand brush. So much so that I only go during business hours even though they are open 24 hours. I tip the attendant and I'm very pleased with the service. But more and more the attendant isn't present during business hours. Yet the cost of the wash is the same and the results are (slightly) inferior. I'm guessing that this is partly due to staffing issues but overall I tend not to wash the car when no attendant is present. I'm glad the company pays attention and responds to the Yelp reviews and would appreciate a response.

Driving home I noticed my hand was stained blue. Washing with soap and dish detergent did nothing. I called the place and the owner said to use certain kinds of cleaner. Of course we didn't have any so I had to go out and find it. The first place had only contractor sized containers, so I drove on to Aubuchon who did have a regular size bottle of the orange cleaner. After several scrubbings its mostly off. The owner apologized but offered no refund or free future clean for my troubles. Not a pleasant car cleaning experience. Next time I'll go to Extreme Clean.

For a $40/month subscription, I expected way better results, at the very least some added value like vacuums, drying towels, or better quality control.

It was washed yesterday at the…read moresame location but had gathered dust today, so I swung through on my drive home because I had paid for a membership. Mid-wash I heard a scraping/scuffing sound and was immediately concerned. When I pulled out I got out of my car right away to see if there was damage to my car. And there was. I immediately pulled around to tell someone and was told it was "impossible" but in the same sentence she said it happens to "larger vehicles like pickups". She told me that "they didn't hear anything" despite the fact that car washes are clearly not quiet. I was not on the phone or listening to anything. I requested that someone contact me right away to discuss repair, as I can say with certainty that the door pillar right in front of my face every time I open the door was not severely scratched before this wash. A review of their cameras should show my I scratched vehicle entering, and my damaged vehicle exiting. I await their response, and will update this review as it unfolds. UPDATE: I received a call today from the owner, who flatly told me that it was "not his wash" and that he didn't know what to tell me. I told him about the noise, and that I was certain, and he told me "I don't know what to tell you. my car wash doesn't scratch cars." I then asked about the cameras that were supposedly there, and he told me there was one camera at the entrance, but that it isn't even clear enough to differentiate between the window and the pillar. I asked him about the cameras that the attendant said were in the wash which she said would be used "to confirm that nothing touched the car" and was told there is one camera, but that it is only clear enough to differentiate a car from truck, and nothing else. Incidentally, I went to the body shop for a quote this morning, and told the employee that the damage had happened in a car wash. They informed me that another customer had just had the same scenario (but for them, the paint) and that it had happened in the same wash. I found this to be quite telling because the owner had just finished bragging that another car owner had filed a claim, but that he had never paid one. The owner of this wash may respond to reviews online, but in actuality couldn't care less about damage because as he said... I can't prove it. Car owners beware.

My best advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELL-HOLE, The White River Car Wash…read more Fortunately, there is a brand new car wash, soon to open, called The Station Car Wash, two parcels away from the hell-hole, The White River Car Wash The feeble old man who pretends to manage The White River Car Wash is a train-wreck, useless!; this man is mechanically and functionally incompetent. The White River Car Wash is the consummate dispenser of deception. $18.00 for a basic, (make believe) high pressure water car wash, which is useless. Many components of the car wash equipment do not work. The self-service car washes are archaic, like the useless old man who pretends to manage this place, the dials on the control head don't work, the White River Car Wash charges $6.00 for a 4 minute car wash, 2 of the 4 minutes are wasted, waiting for the hoses to prime (larceny!), and the water is so hard, that it will leave your car with grossly visible water stains. The first self-service car wash bay does not work, there is no sign that it is out of service, nor a cone, blocking the car wash bay; it looks like this bay has been out of service for a long time. 3 out of 4 vending machines in the vending machine room are marked Out of Service. In my opinion, the owner of the White River Car Wash, has an unwavering level of dedication to taking money from his/her customers, and not delivering the advertised product or service. I am told that The Station Car Wash, practically, next door to the White River Car Wash, is within a few weeks of opening. Unfortunately, the Upper Valley is robust in awful car washes, and very expensive car washes. Best you wait for rain to clean your car, and hope that The Station Car Wash will deliver a good product (at a reasonable price (unlike Lady Rich Express Car Wash in West Lebanon, NH), when it opens.

My only hope and expectation was that the wash would get all the salt and grime from the snowy weather from my undercarriage and sides of the car. I opted to join their wash club and purchased the "Buy 5 Get 1 Free" $15 car wash ($75 total.) Jake's seems to be the only place in the area that gets at least 50% good reviews, and I know I'm going to be getting my car rinsed off often, so why not? Let me tell you, I was impressed. Is it going to be spotless like you hand washed it yourself? No. Nothing beats a hand wash. Did it miss a few spots, like in nooks and crannies and oddly angled/covered areas? Yes. But Jake's Car Wash got 99.5% of all the salt, snow, and dirt off my car. Jake's did such a good job, that I took my BF's truck through today. His truck was grimier than my car, and it still did a great job of getting his truck clean. Jake's does a phenomenal job for the price. I'm willing to bet that those that complained about a poor wash probably looked at their car when they got home and saw some grime from driving on the road from Jake's to their home. My BF's truck was pretty much spotless when I left the car wash, but by the time I got home, I saw some dust and salt on the sides. And, yes, I'm from out of town, but I'm a highly satisfied customer and will be returning.
