Well, that was a miss to say the least. I'm so confused by all the great reviews. I arrived before the lunch rush and placed my order excited to give this place a go. The cashier was friendly and the restaurant was clean and that's about where the good things stop. You can taste how cheap the ingredients are. It literally tastes like Taco Bell. Cheap meat, cheap bagged veggies (you know the taste), cheap bread to hold it all together, and paper that sticks to the sandwich making unwrapping it difficult and messy. Updating review to 1 star since the owner reached out and told me to come in and the GM will take care of the problems we had. I came in on one of the days he told me, and the cashier said he hasn't seen the GM in weeks. I would not have came back, but since it is a new business and the owner reached out, I thought they would make it up. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the fries AGAIN with no olives, and since they messed up the first time I checked, and there were olives on my fries. Honestly ridiculous at this point. Had to wait 20 minutes while my other bowl was sitting there getting cold. Last update, they gave falafel again instead of half lamb, half beef. read more

I was so excited to see that they opened a Spitz in my hometown while visiting for Thanksgiving. I used to love this place when I was living in Los Angeles and I totally miss it now living in San Diego. I love how they are not trying to be the traditional Mediterranean places and they have their own twist to their menu which makes it all amazing. I will definitely be telling all my old Chandler friends to check you out because no matter where you are, you don't disappoint. We happened to drive by this place and...mannnnn, it's freaking good!!! Huge portions and tons of flavor! Sauces are amazing, and really everything we've had has been delicious. We've eaten here on 3 different occasions. Hubby had the Wings and fries = amazing. I had a vegan bowl= absolutely delicious! Also, their app is so awesome and I love their photos to help navigate what I want to eat. Can't wait to eat here again. I love that they also have specials for students to help them grab something affordable. But honestly, their prices are well made up with their portions! I went to Spitz in Chandler yesterday for a late lunch pick up order. I only went because I was in the area and had such a positive experience at the Spitz location in Tempe. The first issue was when I picked up my order, half of it was missing. I ordered 2 combos, and neither drinks were included and neither sides. On top of that, the wrap that made it to the bag had mixed meats instead of just chicken. It was incredibly salty. When I went back to retrieve the sides and drinks, there were only 2 women working. The one in the back in the kitchen was yelling at the one working the register, distracting her from retrieving my order and in doing so leaving out the garlic aioli that was supposed to come with the sweet potato fries. The one working the counter had great customer service skills, but the one in the back was very unprofessional and seemingly unbothered she was berating her coworker in front of a customer. Safe to say, I'm sticking with the location in Tempe and never returning to the Chandler location again. read more

Wow! Tried today on a whim. My boyfriend pointed it out since we were in the area. I didn't know the menu since we got in and I'm a little picky. Such a cute little place! Parking I can imagine gets a little hard to find. Got an order of wings to start just in case it wasn't my favorite food. Ordered the street wrap and my bf the one with the Berliner sauce. Table behind us got their wings and food at the same time and it looked so good I was only waiting. I was going to ask if we could get the wings first but I guess the cashier could read my mind and brought them out. (Also to say it wasn't super busy when we went in but they got a little rush after we ordered and still great/fast service!) They were so good! Crispy in all the right places and were really good sized wings. The Buffalo sauce was perfect, I'm pretty particular on my Buffalo and it has the perfect amount of heat and a slight sweetness that really brings them up a few pedestals. Our food came out not too long after, if you like crispy battered fries this is your place. You won't get any 2 minute McDonald's shelf life fries here! I asked for tzatziki on the side and I think it did have it in but it was really good, not super overpowering. I love lettuce and greens in my wrap and this street one was LOADED! It hit all the right spots, my boyfriend felt the same and we had to agree then and there that we can't love it too much, we might drive up every week for some lol! But I know anytime I'm in chandler I will definitely be coming here and recommending it. Also I think we got some of the garlic aioli on the side for some reason and I'm glad we did. I thoroughly enjoyed my mix bowl. Everything here is customizable. So, I got a mix bowl full of veggies -except for chickpeas- and was super happy with all the flavors while feeling comfortably full. I LOVE their lemon herb tahini dressing. It tasted more like lime to me, but it was so tangy, I want to put that $ht on everything! Added pickled onions too, which I'm happy to report were more pickled than raw onion tasting,. The staff here are kind and helpful too. Unfortunately, there were some factors that distracted us from their awesome flavors. Drawbacks: 1) This restaurant needs ventilation. The smell knocked us over when we opened the front door. To be kind, it constantly smelled like a sulphur/ methane swamp. My guess is the odor emanated from a strong spice called asafoetida, usually used in Indian cooking. If that's not the source, I don't want to know what caused it. As a result, we ate outside. 2) The fries were soggy with too much oil. I hope they can find a way to prevent their fries from sponging up oil like that. 3) Finally, one of the bathrooms is completely missing a door handle. So, there's no lock to secure the door, and a nice big hole is left for peep shows for folks in the hallway. That door handle lock is too quick, cheap and easy to replace, you all. C'mon. read more

This was my first ever experience with Spitz and I am highly displeased. I placed an online order for a gyro pita and a street doner. I placed my order at 9:24 PM and I was told the order would be ready within 20 minutes. I only live 10 minutes away from this establishment. I arrived at exactly 9:35 and picked up my order that was ready. I get home and my food is cold. Both orders are cold, the fries I added to both items were beyond cold and stale. This establishment is supposed to be open until 1 AM and their quality of food drops this drastically 3-4 hours before closing? I was super excited to give this place a try, and I am extremely disappointed. Will not be going back. Update: 11/27/2024 After speaking with the owner, Danny I went ahead and gave them another try. I went in after work today and they were kind enough to comp the meal due to the issue from the previous experience. I'm glad to say it was everything I had hoped it to be when I went in the first time around. The fries were fresh, the meat was also fresh and tasty. Compared to the first time, this experience was as different as night and day. They've convinced me to continue being a customer as long as they can keep their quality as good as today. Their food truly is phenomenal, when it's done correctly. Hoping that first experience was a one time mishap. read more

Grand Opening!! Very cool Street atmosphere that's mixed with all things AZ. Very Insta worthy atmosphere! The food is definitely expensive but I'd say it's totally worth it for Downtown Chandler. I'm updating my review to include our review on the food. We tried 3 different burritos and were very disappointed in the lack of any flavor in all three kinds tried. We tried one called "Zesty Feta" and it had no feta in it which we found misleading and saddened by. The other burritos we could only taste a little bit of flavor when we would get an olive but there seemed to be like one or two olives in the whole thing and just at the top and very bottom of the burrito. I think the grilled wrap outside is done very well but the wrappers stick to the burrito so when you go to peel the wrapper off it starts dripping the tortilla too since it sticks to it so much. I would suggest adding water more of the ingredients with flavors in each wrap. Maybe the ingredients just need to be spread out more evenly when making the burrito but I should taste just one olive or two in my whole burrito and none in the center. All of our burritos just tastes like nothing kind of like iceberg lettuce tastes just like nothing. Adding more Feta or flavorful ingredients is a must. I'd suggest taste testing your burritos. The Mediterranean one was the best one but still wouldn't purchase again. Sadly we will not be coming here again and do not recommend their food. None of it has any flavor. Happy to have tried it! Maybe try this location in a few months because it may just be them still training in how to prepare their foods. read more

The wings are so good. Seriously. Also tried the mixed meat doner basket that was meat and lot of toppings on half salad and half fries. Delicious! The sauces are amazing too. Ordered at the counter and we were served pretty quickly. Nice interior with an outdoor seating area, in the shade, that was very nice too. We ordered food to go a few days ago as a follow up and got more wings, still the best we've found, the berliner bowl with rice and mixed meat. So good, again. I got 3 lunch servings out of it.
