    Drinks. Wine and a specialty.

Beautiful presentation. Food was delicious and wine was good. It does come at a price but the afternoon lunch was a wonderful vacation memory. All in all, totally enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and if it's a nice day, eat outside. Waitstaff was really great and friendly. Service perfect. Quick but not hovering.

I held my rehearsal dinner here over Memorial Day weekend and can't recommend Splash enough for private events!! Their food, wine & cocktails were all incredible, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, and Susan the owner was great to work with leading up to the event! 10/10 experience

Well, things escalated after this photo was taken. I was visiting the area this past weekend and decided to stop at Splash for a wine tasting and dessert. While enjoying myself on the patio, I was stung by a bee. I brought this to the attention of the staff and said I felt funny. Little did I know, I was going into anaphylactic shock. The employees jumped into action and called 911. One server recognized my symptoms and even called her boyfriend to bring an epipen, incase he could arrive before the paramedics. I truly believe the actions of the staff, paramedics, nurses and ER Physician saved my life. As a solo traveler, I still felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. Thank you!!! I will definitely be returning and hope to finish my wine flight this time, only with a little less excitement.

Splash was a really fun time on the lake! Memorial Day 2023 had amazing weather and combining that with wine and tapas was a match made in heaven. The only reason I'm keeping 4 stars is due to the long wait on drinks. But I think they will figure that out over time and it was just due to opening weekend. I'm sure this family will be back for more on the front patio.

This is such a lovely new place! Great atmosphere and view of the water. The food was delicious and presented well. The servers were so friendly and prompt! Will be returning again and recommend for a perfect before or after dinner place.

Great wine/cocktail/beer selection. Nice setting for casual wine plus tapas experience. Service was a bit slow but friendly waiter.

Additionally, the beautiful, historic Atheneum porch provides lakeside ambience that is nothing short of perfect on a warm summer day. The food was ok. We had a charcuterie tray, bisque, and a salad, and while nothing was bad, it did seem to be somewhat bland. Wine choices were also adequate. The service left a lot to be desired in terms of speed and quality. Our server was polite, but they were slow to greet and offer drinks, and even slower to return to check-up on our needs. I got the distinct impression that the servers were college students there to earn money for the summer -- professionalism seemed lacking. Think of the Kellerman's Hotel waitstaff in the movie Dirty Dancing, and you'll understand. Still worth it for the view and the history!

Weather-permitting, ask to eat outside on the Porch to take in the great view of the lake and the lawn. So why only a 3-star rating? It's because of the food. The menu selection was good, but the preparation and taste of the dishes are uninspired and mediocre at best. For the price, the value isn't there. Even though the brunch buffet is plentiful, the quality is no better than what you'd find for free at the Residence Inn. Go for the Porch experience. Just keep your food expectations in check.

Nestled on the quaint Chautauqua Avenue in the village of Lakewood, Stella transports you into a warm lakeside community setting where each recipe feels thoughtfully chosen and lovingly prepared. I've dined here many times and each time I leave, I can't wait to come back. The décor is eclectic, elevated, and visually appealing. Laurie's impeccable taste is reflected throughout the restaurant and can be seen in every loving detail -- from the art and lighting to the overall atmosphere that makes Stella feel both sophisticated and inviting. On our most recent visit, my son enjoyed the panko-breaded fish fry, which is easily one of the best in Chautauqua County -- crispy, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I had the Artichokes Française, a flavorful dish with the perfect balance of softness and crispness. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), Stella is worth the trip. The menu listed it as..."Tortilla Chips smothered with a five cheese sauce, shredded steak, green peppers, and onions." What we received was a small pile of tortilla chips, some globs of pale orange sauce, what appeared to be a small flat grilled burger broken into pieces, smothered in "raw" dice green peppers and onions. I should have taken a photo. It is Bemus Point so we don't mind paying a little extra but this was Hilarious! We were asked what we thought because this was a new menu item this year. I politely explained our disappointment to our wonderful waitress. We were asked again by the manager what we thought about this item. I explained again, anyone who has had Philly Nachos anywhere else would expect the peppers onions to be cooked/grilled and blended with the shredded steak and cheese. Google it. Clearly the chef had done little research. The manager tried to explain the shredded steak looked like a broken up burger because they cook didn't thaw it out enough before grilling. They took it off our bill, even though I insisted they shouldn't. I told them we planned to suffer through it because we were hungry, and were not going to order another surprise. On the plus side, the ambience was great out on the deck by the lake. The beers were refreshingly cold. Too bad our food was weird. We tipped our waitress very, very well. I hope they fix or 86 the Philly Nachos for everyone else's sake. We won't be eating here again. Drinks only.
