    Tink

Love love love this place! My Tinker blew a spinal disc by jumping off some stairs when she was 6 years old. She lost all use of her hind limbs. After a very traumatic surgery on her spinal cord, I was referred to Kristin for hydrotherapy. Kristin is amazing. Her knowledge and skills for pet rehab amazes me. Not only did she help via physical and hydrotherapy, she gave me detailed instructions and suggestions on how to move forward at home to help my girl recover, and maintain proper muscle tone, along w tips on how to keep new injuries from occurring. I highly recommend Splash Canine Hydrotherapy!

Her confirming me for Tuesday but never confirming the time or letting me know I missed the appointment.

DO NOT GO HERE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RUDE IGNORANT ASSISTANT!!!! I came here on Tuesday around 1:55 pm for my dog's appointment that I thought was at 2:00pm. Kirstin the owner had let me known day before that we were meeting on Tuesday and sent me a schedule for sessions to meet. The schedule was confusing and I misinterpreted my dog's session to be at 2:00pm on Tuesday. Without any confirmation about what time to come I went at what I thought was her session at 2:00pm. When I arrive I waited for about 5 minutes (now it's 2:00pm) and no one came outside to take my dog in. My dog usually gets car sick and foams at the mouth when in the car so I needed to take her outside to get some fresh air and nothing more. As my partner is getting my dog out a random lady comes telling me my session was 12:00pm and that I'm here during her session time and to go back in my car and the Kirsten will get me. I then told her my session was at 2 (at the time I was unaware about misinterpreting the schedule) and I'm taking my dog outside because she's foaming at the mouth and needs fresh air. She then walks away and i take my dog away from the property to get some fresh air and adjust to being outside the car. 15 minutes go by (which I don't mind waiting) and then Kirsten and her assistant come out. Kirsten then says I missed my session and I said I thought it was at 2 pm and misread the message but why didn't I receive a message about confirmation of time or missing of the appointment? Kirsten then doesn't give me any clear answer and makes two excuses, one saying there was a flood and another saying she was dealing with a big dog. As I ask her questions and confront her about why she didn't communicate to me about not being at a session and confirming the time she then goes to attack my character and says you seem upset. (No shit Sherlock you're not communicating to your customers clearly.) as I calmly talk to her and explain I'm not upset but frustrated she goes on more about my character about being upset when all I was stating was the situation and her not giving me a clear answer on why she didn't message me if I missed an appointment or a confirmation for an appointment. I then started to leave because I didn't want to go to a instructor that doesn't communicate well and that's extremely professional and has random customers get involved with different clients. As I'm leaving Kirsten says a sly message to go to a surgeon, (Ive her multiple times surgery is not what I'm choosing for my dog. )After she made her sly comment I said I don't need her opinion and her assistant then wants to add that's she's "just trying to help" I then stated I don't need her help and then her assistant wants to take the biggest low and say that's what I get for getting a dog from a pet store. Do no ever go to this disgusting place. My dog suffers from sever hip dysplasia and their assistance wants to make fun of dogs with disabilities and take emotional advantage of clients and abused in arguments. They do not know how to talk to people or respect others and just like to take peoples money. DO NO COME.

My dogs have been here for 6 years receiving therapy. Jasper can walk well due to Kristin's work with her. I can't recommend enough.

Because so many dogs coming here are post-surgery or otherwise having issues, they're super careful to avoid K9-contact and so our first appointment was very low stress. Dr. Mandi worked with my dog to make sure everything was set for our plan. Thereafter we did physical therapy, where Trixie did as much PT as I did learning, water treadmill (which I thought was going to be a disaster but went swimmingly well). You see different team members when you come in so you get a really good perspective on different approaches to the PT/training (Trixie trains easily, me less so). They also are collecting all of the A-Team local providers here, including accupuncture etc.. 5-stars, definitely recommend.

I of course notice a difference in Bo afterwards too, she is soooo happy and doesn't want to leave! I love how Lisa writes a massage report afterwards too and goes over all the details and lets me know if Bo has any tender spots. Being a Bernese Mountain dog who believes he's more agile than he is - he's a jumper, spinner, runner and tumbler (which is an indication of his clumsiness) - he has chronic scapular weakness & cervical vertebral instability issues that can cause him intense discomfort at times. After trying the PT and acupuncture route, with relatively good but inconsistent success, we decided to try animal massage. Quimby has been a godsend for Atmos. They see each other weekly and it's made a world of difference in managing his chronic pain and tightness, and has mostly alleviated his behaviors around pain that used to be quite common. He loves his time with Quimby, and she often gets full 120 lb tackle hugs when she arrives. He's a giant puddle of calm happiness after every appointment. The impact of weekly massage for Atmos has been what seems to be a release of the muscle tightness that he constantly carried due to hard impact landings and speed spins. It's as though Quimby's hands have taught his muscles how to relax / release between appointments so he is no longer experiencing the same level of pain. We are incredibly thankful for Quimby and would highly recommend animal massage from ResQ to anyone with a pet who needs a gently, caring and kind healing touch.

She's a former vet tech - so she has tons of experience and knowledge about the overall health and well-being of animals. She's incredibly connected in the PDX area and makes great recommendations for anything outside of her expertise. We highly recommend Whitney for both therapeutic and preventative massage. I highly recommend anyone to take their dog to massages with Whitney, she had been an asset in our lives.

My animal passed not because of anything the vet ever did and I would never imply that. The conversation we had on the day was a quick line about being frustrated that they weren't open and then to the conversation about the animal I was there with. I'm very sorry if she felt like I was trying to blame her. Additionally, I was assuming the event they had to close for was a last minute thing because I did not think a professional setting would have planned to be closed that day and not have any sort of notification. This review was specifically about my experience of the location. Personally, I would caution people from going to a business where the business manager spend his Sunday night looking up information on past patients (which I'm assuming happened because he was able to state a specific date) just to combat a bad review. TLDR: This used to be a wonderful place under Dr. Burton, but the new owners have ruined the good reputation and good will. Staff have been known to argue with people on their reviews so I'm sure a response defending themselves will be left on this one This was the best place when Dr. Burton ran it. Unfortunately, since it has been sold the experience has plummeted. Most of the staff was let go (though the new staff and owners will say they left voluntarily) and the consideration and willingness to work with patients has disappeared. What was previously a run in back with Dr. Burton for some blood tests and ended up being over $500 with no warning with the new owners. When I expressed confusion and concern that I had a massive bill that I had not been told about before the blood draw I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and quite literally had the card reader pushed towards me. When I asked if I could do a payment plan as I've done in the past with Dr. Burton as I had bills coming up and was not planning on spending over $500 I was told that that was no longer something that was offered and that I needed to pay right then and there. This on top of the fact that when the new owners took over there were days where the office was closed but there was no information about that put online nor was the voicemail updated. So anyone showing up for appointments that day were met with a paper on the front door saying they were closed and when I asked about it at a later time I was told the vet's son was moving into college and that it couldn't be helped. Again I was treated as if my questioning of why there had been no notice online was ridiculous and rude. If you are thinking of coming here because you've heard good things, I would highly recommend looking into some other locations. The high rating for this animal hospital is all thanks to Dr. Burton, and unfortunately he is no longer there
