I just picked up my pup Stella after a ten day stay and I swear, she was grinning! Sure, she was happy to see me but while I was hugging her hello, she was busy giving kisses to the lovely young woman who'd been one of her caretakers! She was clean and no doggy smell at all. CCC was incredibly patient with me and my "separation anxieties", giving me updates during my time away. They were also completely flexible when my flight got cancelled and rebooked. I know Stella is hoping I go away more often now because she has a new second home that we both highly approve of

One week after getting a clean bill of health from the veterinarian, we boarded our 6 month old puppy for 10 days. The Dog Zone manager Jen called us for the first time on day number 9 of our vacation, to tell us that our puppy had not been eating for several days and was vomiting. Still confused on why no phone call was made to us on day one of our puppy not eating or on day one of vomiting! Jen was more concerned about someone coming to pick up our sick puppy to get her out of there, but gave absolutely no concern for our puppy hanging on to her life. I am assuming if she could get the puppy out of the building, then she cannot be held responsible for animal neglect. We were out of the country and insisted that our puppy be taken to a veterinarian immediately, rather than someone picking her up. I will say Jen did finally take our puppy half dead, to a veterinarian, which should have been done the first day of her showing signs of being sick. The veterinarian stated she was barley responsive ,had pale gums, low white blood cell count and low body temperature when she arrived. She was put on oxygen immediately, due to her inability to breathe on her own!! The Dog Zone Manager Jen only told us our puppy was not eating and had vomited. Jen said she did not even think that our puppy would need any overnight care at the veterinarian. We had our puppy transferred to an emergency veterinarian and we authorized aggressive treatment to save her life. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, from likely aspirating her own vomit. The veterinarian believed the pneumonia happened over sometime and not the same day the manager notified us. Even after aggressive treatment our puppy could not be saved and we could not even say goodbye to her because we were in another country. If we had been notified the first day our puppy was not eating we would have insisted she be taken to a veterinarian immediately. But, Jen is not the only individual at the business that was aware of my puppy barely hanging on to her life because my puppy had been in this severe medical condition for days!!!!! Where is the humanity and compassion for our furry family members OR are all of the employees at this company just wanting to get the "problem pet" out of the building, so they don't have to be held responsible for their pure malice. This boarding/ daycare may seem trustworthy but do not make the mistake we did by trusting them with your furry loved ones. Now our puppy will never see her first Christmas!

Words cannot describe the magnanimous amount of gratitude that I have for Woodlands Dog Kingdom…read more Not only did one of the trainers fly to California to work with my Service Dog in Training for 3 non-stop days, they still avail themselves to me should I have ANY questions or concerns in regards to my pup. At just 2 years old, and because of her calm demeanor, I can take my dog anywhere off leash, especially private events as a traveling chef, have people attempt to touch ot talk to her and she STILL gives me her full attention - which was my only issue with her. I am continously referring them while still learning new things through their many videos. And when I see a dog being trained wrongfully, I automatically want to refer Woodlands to that owner, letting them know that they would excel if they used them. Thank you so much, Woodlands for the work you did for us and the work you do for others. If every dog training facility took their job as seriously as you did, this world would really be happy with their 4-legged pals!!!! Love you long time! Chef Marúkah & Kitah

Hard as I try, each dog seems to have "a thing" (e.g., jumping on people, leash aggression, guarding, barking, etc.). Two years ago I got a puppy and decided I didn't have it in me to go through months (and sometimes years) of training effort and end up with another dog with "a thing". I found Woodlands Dog Kingdom through word of mouth. Ayesha has a ton of experience with all kinds of dogs. She worked wonders with my sweet, little puppy but I have seen her successfully train stubborn, adult dogs with pretty big behavioral problems and am so impressed with her ability to adjust her training to meet a dog's needs and an owner's expectations. I sent her an obnoxious puppy and a few weeks later she returned an enthusiastic, but behaved young adult dog. Honestly, it was magical. In a few weeks time she accomplished more than I could have accomplished in years. There are a couple of lessons I learned that I really want to emphasize. First, she trained my puppy but didn't break her spirit. She is still an extremely loving, trusting and enthusiastic dog. Secondly, for the first time ever, I have a dog I can take everywhere. I guess I didn't realize how much richer/fuller a dog's life is when they can go everywhere. I instituted limits for my other dogs because of their "things". This dog has no limits because she doesn't have "a thing". I take her traveling with me. I can board her with no anxiety (for me or her). I can take her to a dog-friendly restaurant. I can take her off-leash at the beach/hiking and know with 100% certainly that she'll come when called. And, best of all, we can go on long walks in the neighborhood or even on busy thoroughfares and she stays in a perfect heel. Ayesha trained my puppy and then helped me learn easy ways to maintain her newly learned skills. Since our board-and-train, I have asked Ayesha for advice on specific/new behaviors and she is always very helpful. Finally, once she has trained a dog she will board them. My love of dogs AND love of travel are not conducive but boarding with Ayesha has liberated me. My dog loves going back to her place. Her boarding fees are very reasonable and the dogs are not crated for hours and hours. They have lots of outside play time and lots of human/cuddle time. I know there are a lot of board-and-train options but Woodland Dog Kingdom is the best!!

I was afraid to leave him alone and I was at my whits end. Then Tamara saved the day. I sent my "little" anxious boy to her and he came back a big brave boy. We did a 4 week board and train with her and it was worth every penny. He is like a completely different dog now. He can relax now both inside the house as well as out on adventures now. Now every time he wants to panic, he looks to me first, and he see's that I am fine and settles right down. Honestly I have been recommending Tamara to everyone I can. She was beyond patient with both my little anxiety pup, as well as with me (texting her almost daily to check in). The fact that she made a custom training plan just around his special anxiety needs was amazing. Since he came home he has been a dream. We even did a weekend out at the beach and he came every time I called (this dog had zero recall before Tamara). Tamara still checks in to see how my pup is doing and it's that extra thoughtful layer of caring that I can honestly say I will be sending him back to her for boards as well as her amazing Trecking paws hiking club. If you are anxious yourself about getting a lending paw to help your pupper call Tamara. She is the right call to make. She takes the worry out of giving your fur baby to someone with her thoughtfulness, calm demeanor, and skill to see exactly what your dog needs.

I had met with other trainers and actually been turned away because they said they could not work with us. Bramble and I had been in conflict for about 18 months by the time we met Tamara. He was incredibly leash reactive, guarded both myself and his resources (food/his kennel), and wouldn't allow people to enter our home. He reacted with snapping and biting if asked to do anything that wasn't in his agenda (which was many things due to his anxiety). I had practiced overly gentle positive reinforcement with him and avoided situations that triggered him; instead of helping, this made his behavior far worse. Tamara clocked Bramble's issues after less than 30 minutes when they met (although she took plenty of time with us to exchange questions and get a full picture of our situation). She was confident and comfortable handling him and didn't let him bully her like he was bullying me and my partner. I could tell that Bramble responded to her handling right away as well. Bramble did 4 weeks of B&T that completely changed our lives. Tamara helped him face progressively more challenging situations to build confidence, trained fantastic recall using e-collar tone and stim, worked with his comfort being handled and groomed, and returned a dog that was ready to work together with me going forward. I am so grateful to Tamara and Doglingual for giving Bramble and me a second chance at a happy life together. I've been able to continue training him with Tamara's guidance, and I know that we will continue to grow because she gave him the foundation he needed to really enjoy being a dog.
