One of the best places to take your dog if you're struggling with mobility issues and if you are worried about your baby getting older. When we started going to Canine PT and Me, my dog, 15 years old Golden Retriever, he couldn't walk through the door without collapsing. Everyone told me oh he's 15 that's how they age but I thought it is worth a shot and now 6 sessions in, my baby goes for short walks, he doesn't fall down, he doesn't need his wheelchair, he can go potty all by himself and he's happier. The staff and the doctors are so nice that I'm sad when our sessions end, I don't get to see them. They are priced very reasonably; they help you with insurance claim if you have one and they are the sweetest people I have ever met. Kelsey of Canine PT and Me is everything you'd want in a physical therapist--compassionate, patient, dedicated, and extremely knowledgeable. She worked wonders for our dog Nyxie, who had to learn to walk again after double TPLO surgery. We'd actually first started working with the amazing Kelsey prior to surgery to address an intermittent limp that turned out to be the result of a slight tear in one ACL. Kelsey referred us to the orthopedic surgeon (Dr. Cioffi of Blue Pearl Pet Surgery, who was fantastic). Long story short, Nyx ended up completely tearing her other ACL before we could set a date for the procedure. Shortly after surgery, Kelsey started working with Nyx to start rebuilding strength. Nyx was a little extra challenging, as she was anxious and protective of her legs, but Kelsey was undeterred and fully committed. She gave us homework to do in between sessions, and it was gift to see Nyx getting better and better. By the time Nyxie "graduated", she was running and jumping again like her usual high energy maniac self. I cannot recommend Canine PT and Me highly enough. read more

Dr Lindberg has been really sweet to work with. What I appreciate most is that she really listens to my experience with Bailey. She's evidence driven and has helped in getting diagnostics (beyond a physical exam) and a med plan in place to complete a multimodal plan of treatment for the pain that was causing a lot of Bailey's gait and postural adaptations as well as changes in his behavior. Dr Lindberg helps make sure that both Bailey and I are as comfortable as possible and that PT isn't causing more harm than good which is a risk that is often not considered when it comes to canine fitness and PT in my experience. We took our dog Louie to get PT once he started having back issues. He was in bad shape and dragging his back legs and had lost use and feeling. We visited with Lauren and she was great with Louie having him do exercises, giving laser treatment, stone treatment and massage. Louie has improved and is back walking/running and we're still visiting to get therapy in hopes of building up his strength, stamina and resistance. I could not be any happier with the service I received from Dr. Kelsey and Canine PT and Me. My sweet boy had surgery for a luxating patella (dislocated knee cap) in February 2024. I was very worried he would never regain full function of his knee again because of his advancing age and it broke my heart. I took my chance on surgery with a traveling doctor temporarily working at the recommended vet clinic because their regular surgeon was on leave. I was unsure because I couldn't thoroughly vet this person, but he turned out to be the right person at the right time. But after a successful surgery, now I was left with a dog who couldn't walk and was in pain when not medicated - what do I do next? Luckily, the vet clinic had suggested Kelsey, Brittany and Canine PT & Me. After a couple of weeks of rest, they started working with my boy weekly and he just got better and better. Now, he's back to his younger self - he walks and runs, chases the ball, jumps up to play, basically everything he did before the knee problem started to develop, possibly years ago. MONEY GRAB! $80 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT I reached out to Canine Pt and me about my dog Gomez. He is in need of surgery for a Luxating Patella. Brittany called me back and spent about 15ish minutes giving me an in depth explanation of all the services they offer. I decided to make an appointment. After more consideration I decided that physical therapy in this case would just be prolonging the inevitable and the best option for me financially would just be going ahead with the surgery. I called the next day to cancel the appointment and let them know of my decision. (Mind you this appointment was for the following week). Brittany let me now at that point it was non refundable. Mind you at no point in the 15 minute long conversation while she in detail explained so many things they offered did she ever take the time to explain that. If so I would not have made the appointment. After her trying to convince me that they'll just give me a credit when I call back to make an appointment after surgery. I hung up (In anger). Side note: Physical therapy isn't always necessary after surgery. Brittany sent a very smug follow up text informing me "that it clearly state's that in one of the 4 (4!) emails" that she sent that day. Gross....I have made many appointments with Vets, other physical therapists, currently just made one with a SURGEON. Non of them are charging a non refundable deposit. Seems to me that it would make more sense to just give the customer back their $80 deposit. and When they are ready they will come back to you (If needed) and spend much much more than $80 rehabbing their pet. For this place it's clearly just about the money and them getting it from you anyway they can. Even if it means ruining the potential to have a new client. You don't even have to step foot in the door! Being transparent about so many details then hiding a cancellation policy in a number of emails is just unethical. We have done 4 sessions with Kelsey so far, and she has been great. Our senior dog, Cosmo, is already showing better confidence and endurance, though it will obviously take time to build more strength. Cosmo is very anxious, and being able to do PT and training from our home helps keep him calm. Kelsey is really good at reading is body language and giving him breaks when he gets overstimulated. She also noticed subtle signs in his posture and movement to help identify where he is weak. During her visits, she brings all the gear necessary to do a variety of exercises, massages, and cold laser therapy. She explains her goals and reasoning as she goes. Afterwards, our "homework" is assigned in a nice website that has video tutorials and allows you to track progress. Kelsey is super responsive, organized, and easy to work with. And our HealthyPaws insurance covers her visits. We would highly recommend Kelsey to anyone who has PT needs for their dog. read more

I can't thank Kelsey enough! My dog Andy tore his CCL, he's nearly 12 and surgery seemed so risky, so when my dog's surgeon suggested PT first and gave me a list to chose from I was willing to give it a shot. I chose Kelsey because she is a DPT (I'm an OT) and did home visits. It was very easy to book an appointment and schedule something that fit with my work schedule. I couldn't believe it after the first session: my dog went from limping, painful, and low energy, to literally running around and happy again! He loved the exercises (he's a stubborn old man), and most importantly he loved Kelsey. Even my cat loved Kelsey and enjoyed watching Andy exercise! We've had a very positive experience with Dr. Kelsey. Our dog had bilateral TPLO surgery (double knee) and she has helped her steadily return to normal function. She and her staff are very communicative and accommodating of scheduling needs. Most importantly she's been great with our dog. Dr Kelsey is just what we needed after our 11yr old American Eskimo Dog went through an unexpected hind leg amputation. He had a hard recovery, and we struggled to manage his pain while assisting him in his new tripod life. Dr Kelsey won over Ronan's heart instantly! Which says a lot since he is not a fan of strangers. Her calm energy, positive reinforcement and being able to read his subtle cues was just what we needed. With lots of hard work and practice, Ronan was back to being his confident self before long. Not only did Dr Kelsey take the time to work with Ronan, but she also taught us the skills that we need to carry on to help him as he ages. It may seem odd to get a physical therapist for your dog, but just like humans, pets can get immense benefits from therapy. It can improve the quality of their life, postpone or even eliminate the need for surgery, or in our case help Ronan re-learn how to walk, run, jump and play. It was bittersweet to have Ronan graduate PT with Dr Kelsey. The joy he had while working for her was so heart warming. We have been so happy with Canine PT and Me...our 2 year old German Shepherd was diagnosed with elbow and wrist arthritis and was limping continuously. We really didn't want to get surgery and were recommended to Kelsey. She came to our house to meet with our dog to do exercises, massage and cold laser and then put us on a plan with very clear instructions for what our homework was. In five sessions, our dog doesn't limp anymore and is allowed to run and play off leash. We will continue our homework and continue to work with Canine PT and Me as we need because this work saved us surgery and also made our dog so much stronger in body and mind (she's also no longer leash reactive now!). Our dog loved the exercises, the challenge and Kelsey. If you have pet insurance, it usually covers PT and that was helfpul as well. And having a PT come to you is HUGE - our dog gets nervous in other settings and I'm not sure she would've had the same success going to a facility. Highly recommend! read more

First off I want to say how much I appreciated working with Kelsey before I talk about her services with our puppy. Our puppy Beep had IVDD and spine surgery back in May of 2021, rendering her legs very weak and almost useless. This was one of the hardest things we have dealt with and was extremely painful for our family. The doctor said that after the surgery she would recommend us going to a physical therapist to help Beep get movement in her back legs. We called many PT in the area and none of them had any appointments. From another PT we were recommended Kelsey and Canine PT and Me. I called Kelsey and she made room for us in her busy schedule due to the severity of our puppy's condition and timing after her surgery. It was amazing! Kelsey helped Beep get moving again! She gained a ton of strength in her back legs and our weekly visits were extremely productive. Beep is walking more and more every day and I can contribute this directly to having Kelsey as her physical therapist. She gave us exercises and treatments for us to do on our own at home as well. Kelsey is so wonderful and she has helped Tanny so much! When we first started Tanny's rehab, she had a significant limp and weakness in her legs. Kelsey was able to make Tanny feel better after the first session and it's been steady progress since then. Between sessions, Kelsey gives me exercises to do with Tanny to keep progressing her strength and Tanny loves doing her exercises because she gets extra treats. I can tell Tanny is feeling better because her limp has gone away and she is more like her normal self again. Kelsey is a great resource for anything dog and healthy mobility. We have a 2.5 year old Basenji and she was having spasms in her right hind leg. I also started noticing her leg turning out vs. lining up straight with her body. She is active and I wanted to get help in working through her deviation. She is a young pup and I don't want her to have pain and limited mobility when she gets older. My hope was to get advice on how to potentially stave some of this off. Kelsey was able to see that Arya's knee was weak on that side and need to build up her core strength (dont we all). It has been fun to see the creative ways she has worked with Arya to build strength in her over all body. She has given me ideas on movement to add to our daily routines. Kelsey is amazing! Our boy Ollie, a Spinone Italiano, was diagnosed with a partial CCL tear in November 2022 and the vet was demanding surgery. However, we decided to go the conservative management route and I reached out to Canine PT and Me. Although we weren't in her travel area, I found a place that we could meet with her at that was in her travel area and it was the best decision for Ollie! Kelsey evaluated Ollie and agreed with our approach and believed she could help strengthen his knee. She was so good with Ollie, better than some trainers we've had. She was gentle, worked with him and not against him, never got frustrated (he's a mama's boy and kinda stubborn), allowed me to ask all kinds of questions, demonstrated the home exercises and and provided videos of the exercises. Our last PT session was in March 2023 and Ollie is no longer limping and his strength has returned. We'll still continue to work with him at home, but I know that if I have questions, she'll still be a great resource! read more

Our BC mix, Cinder, fractured 3/5 of her metacarpals in January of this year. After 16+ weeks in a splints, she was ready to start getting her strength back so we could see if she'd make a complete recovery. Our vet recommended that we work with a PT and after some asking around, we were able to connect with Dr. Kelsey. She was the only PT who has a mobile practice. This was amazing because it a) meant NO STRESS for Cinder since she could do her sessions at home, and b), meant that scheduling was much easier since we didn't have to travel to/from a clinic for her visits (a bonus when you have a busy work schedule!). Over the course of the summer, Dr. Kelsey slowly built up Cinder's strength, balance, and coordination. She went from limping every morning to having crazy zoomies up and down hills. It was amazing! It's also important to note that Cinder is a challenging and nervous patient. We had a great experience with Canine PT and Me! My pointer, Abigail, had a partial CCL tear and needed to get surgery. She is a high energy dog and at only 3 years old we knew that we needed to invest in her recovery to ensure she could run for years to come. After the surgery, our vet suggested that we look into PT for Abigail to help rebuild her strength and confidence in the knee. I personally had knee surgery a couple of years ago and PT was a game changer for me, so I figured I'd give it a shot for my dog. Abigail started out being very hesitant with putting weight on her leg. She wanted to only hop around on 3 legs and not put any weight on that fourth leg. We had Kelsey come to our home and evaluate Abigail. She came up with a treatment plan and we scheduled out our visits. It was so convenient to have her come to our home, since Abigail can be pretty anxious in new places. Kelsey brought all sorts of equipment for Abigail to use during her sessions. She had it down to a science! Kelsey was very sweet with Abigail and knew when to push her and when she needed to take a break. The results speak for themselves; her muscle tone is significantly better in that leg now, she is running around at full speed in the yard, and doesn't favor her knee anymore. Kelsey is the best! Our dog, Toby, had a hip replacement and his pre-op and post-op PT were essential to his speedy recovery. He is now just 4 months post-op and walking, running, and playing like other 3 year old dogs. He still has a bit more muscle to regain yet, but thanks to Kelsey's superb instruction, we are confident about what we need to do following the completion of her visits to ensure Toby's maximum recovery. Kelsey was creative in her approach to dog PT. She came to our very small apartment with all needed props for PT and somehow made the space work for the job.
