Absolutely horrible! Paid for a extended stay (month) was approached by staff member that they over booked. There is NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STAFF AND ONLINE SERVICE TEAM. Booking online does not get sent to staff on location. We didn't get NO REFUND OR OFFERED A DIFFERENT CABIN. Especially after paying and receipt showed paid to date and signed by staff. I booked 3 separate trips in the month of July. all three trips our cabins were DISGUSTING! between finding dirty underwear in our shower, big hole in bathroom floor, cobwebs everywhere, broken blinds, piles of old food left behind microwave, extremely stained, filthy toilets and sinks and tub were atrocious, poison growing on the deck, sticky dirty refrigerator, this trip I had to throw over $200 food away bc of the bug infestation. all the staff is aware of the bug problem, YET THEY DID ZERO to resolve the issue. in fact one of the cleaning gals said "the company is too cheap to call an exterminator." not even so much as any traps anywhere in the cabin. we come renting 5 cabins total for our families. spend a lot of money there. not anymore. and apparently other people are feeling the same way bc even the office woman mentioned this morning how the number of campers has. drastically declined. one of the cleaning gals told us about a much cleaner campground nearby. We use to come here with our kids when it was Yogi, we always enjoyed the family atmosphere. We are now grandparents and wanted our grandkids to have the same kind of experience. Sorry to say ~ It Changed. Alcohol everywhere, at the pool, in the pool. Loud music blaring. I was not expecting this. Why can't there be alcohol after 4? Why all day in the pool? Upon check-in we were immediately told "Don't bother hooking up your cable, we don't have it" followed up by "What phone provider do you have, you won't have WiFi here either." We were then told that ALL amenities besides the playground were $15 PER PERSON, PER DAY. This is after being charged $220 for 2 nights which included fees for extra people. We had 2 adults and 4 children. I have no idea what that nightly cost covered because the sites were not that nice. The cement pads were broken up and not level with the ground, the "stone" sites were more weed than stone, and the water coming in for showers, bathrooms, and campers were dirty (literally light brown in color). Also, my kids were told they couldn't jump in the pool nor ride the slides with their life jackets on. Lastly, their check out is 10 am. Worse than a hotel with none of the cleaning! Probably the only nice thing to say about this campground is it's clean. Won't stay again and don't recommend. read more

To start off... The security here is beyond annoying. the speed limit is 5, me and my friend were here for 3 days and got pulled over minimum 10 times, we were driving my little brothers and their friends aswell, 5 people in the cart like they previously said. Everytime we passed by security they yelled at us, even if we were going slow we never saw anybody else get pulled over. Some lady flashed her flashlight in our faces the second night so we literally couldn't see while driving. We are both 17 year old girls, driving behind others we were with and they did not speak to them at all. Obviously since we were behind them we were going slower, and we were still pulled over. Claimed there were multiple reports of us recklessly driving because we were with little kids in the backseat having fun. We were driving with other parents near us too. And they never said they were speeding only us. read more

I really do adore this campground (when we're able to make reservations). It fills up quickly so plan waaaayyy ahead. Usually we're only able to book once a year. The highlights for me and my grandkids are their wonderful pools and playground - both some of the best we're experienced. The kids have a blast going down the two slides and I like that the kids pool is a walk out with a seat so parents (or in our case- grands) can sit close by to keep a watchful eye. This year they added shaded canopies in addition to the lounges already there, so they're no need to lug tons of stuff to the pool. I also enjoy their bingo and various events for kids. Our last stay was during Christmas in July. They offered the option of supplying a gift for your child and bringing it to the office for them to wrap and "Santa" to distribute. I loved that they did that and the kids were thrilled (and surprised!) when Santa called them up. The pond area is also beautiful, well maintained, and full of fish. The playground is well maintained with ways to play for all age groups. Bike riding is very present here and the kids ride everywhere so you do need to be extra cautious. They used to offer a variety of bikes to "rent" (free with wristband - $20 per kid, allows use of bike during their stay, and unlimited access to the boats, jumping pillow etc, ), but now they only have small 4 wheelers (kind of like a peddle car). I wasn't sure our girls would be able to ride one so we didn't get the wristband this time, next year we will for sure. Some things I do think could be improved: 1. Provide an escort and simplify the check in process for rvs. There's one way in and creates a camper jam when everyone is parked and inside waiting to get their site #. The office is always busy and having someone in line to check in behind campers making purchases is such a waste of time. Having an employee stand outside with your paperwork and quickly escort you to your site would be a solution to this problem and quite common in campgrounds we visit. 2. Things look a little run down around the back of the store and bathhouses. Some bathhouses are not that clean and often out of toilet paper. The best maintained bathhouse/rest room is in the laundry facility by the pond, which is also handicap friendly. 3. The "tent" social area has a musty, moldy smell. Not sure how they can address that given the way it's constructed but for people with asthma like myself there's only so much time I can spend in there. 4. Add hand dipped ice cream to the camp store. Nothing beats it and I think it should be a staple at every campground. Overall this campground is in the top 5 of our favorites and one we plan on visiting whenever we can. SIDENOTE: aside from offering rv sites they have an assortment of different cabins, and tent sites. Some are waterfront with the Susquehanna River just steps away. If you're like me and try to avoid trees best to book near the pond. The sites in the field across from the pond even have concrete pads. Full hook up includes wifi and cable, both of which had ample and decent service. read more

This place is NOTHING like what they advertise. Filthy! I reserved 3 lots the water was so brown it looked liked Septic. It was that way the entire weekend. My child has a rash that is from the water. The pool was green, cloudy and I would not allow my family to swim in it. When went to office 3 times the customer service was horrible they did not care. We stayed here. Very dissapointed so we left early. Was in a small cabin that was missing blinds and had see through curtain in kitchen. Absolutely no window covering in loft for kids. AC worked great but had to shut off at nite because it sounded like a freight train by your head/bed. The pool was nice however paying to use slide is ridiculous. Felt bad for kids who couldnt use it. First campground i ever went to that yoy had to pay for amenities. Slide, bouncing pad and bikes. For anyone under 12 bring a helmet they charge for them too. In total paid $15 a day for 2 kids x 2 days= extra $60 bucks AND only used slide 1x bouncing pillow closed it was wet they only rode bikes for 15 minutes after purchasing the helmet. Upon cleaning up cabin to leave early a baby roach was in kitchen. Ewww yes i understand they spray but geeze dont rent until you know they alllllllll dead. Disgusting. Also complimentary paper towels were moldy and black at the bottom. Gee thanks for the towels. One positive is the front desk girl was very friendly and helpful upon check in. Just came back from a long weekend and our first trip here. What a great family trip and I am glad I did listen to all the negative reviews. We had a motorhome in one spot and a 2 tent set up in another. We were worried about noise but once quite time came the campground was quite. The employees were nice and helpful. We rented a golf cart with problems and they switched it out right away no questions asked. The ladies in the front office were fantastic to answer all our questions since we were new to the area. My grandchildren and their parents loved their pool, hot tub, adult pool and the especially the playground. Fun activities for the kids to do, movie night one night and live music at night on another. The slides did have a someone watching and making sure that children were safe and no double riders. So I felt safe with them going up on their own. Best of all we were there for Mardi Gras weekend and the kids were able to decorate the golf cart and get mask from the staff. We had a big parade through the whole park. We were only 30 minutes from Knoebel's Amusement Park & 45 minutes from Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine for some other fun time. read more

Beautiful place to camp but cabins bedding not well maintained, 2 of our beds sunk in the middle and made my sleeping miserable, the pool with nice playground gave a bit of consolation. Cozy Cabin AC are not well planned either, the loft area was too warm that AC cannot reach.Beddings are covered with vinyl but floors needs lot of dusting and sweeping when we checked in the rooms although dishes and bathroom were clean. One last thing, management should put a big sign of their office, all of us in the group missed it when trying to check in. Giving them "eh" stars hoping they can improve better. read more

Want some COVID-19? This is the place for you. ZERO social distancing in place and nobody is wearing masks. Employees in office don't have masks on. No social distancing on the waterside. Waterslides are not staffed so kids are just sliding one on top of the other. Its like a public pool without lifeguards. Pool water is murkey. Hot tub had a child with a swim diaper swimming in it.. Not sure how this place would pass any sort of inspection. Foam pit with kids in less than 6 feet distance from each other in an enclosed space. Not a prudent idea during pandemic. No sanitization on bumber boats or life jackets you're required to wear. Park is too trashy for my liking. Basically a summer resort for people that live in a trailer park. I'll blame the new management for the lack of professionalism the majority of the staff exhibited during my families 5 day stay, which has been tradition for 6 yrs and won't be counting. Here's the deal: the toilet water is brown, sink water is brown, and shower water has a foul smell, and yes it's also brown. This was the case for all 8 cabins we reserved...insanely unsanitary and not sure how they manage to pass any health inspections. They are very inconsistent with their rules as it seems they selectively enforce or not, well i guess that depends on if you look like them or not. We've decided to NEVER return to this site since you don't get what you pay for, this place is overpriced for the service they provide. read more

A decent campground. Tons of activities for kids everything from, pool, paddle boats, bumper boats, wheelie bikes, jumping pillow, playground..(they'll never be bored). Activities are extra (jumping pillow, bumper boats, bike rentals) buy the wristband, it's worth it! RV sites on the "older" side are really tight and only 30 amp, also if it rains the sites tend to get washed out and really muddy. We were on lot Y22 and this was the case for us. A bit of a disappointment as it makes everything dirty. On the "newer" side, sites are a bit further apart, gravel and sites are a bit nicer. With that said, the older side does have more trees to shade your site..so it's a trade off. Bathhouses are messy at times but staff does a good job trying to keep them clean. Pool is decent, they have a DJ playing great throw back music. Pool grill food is pricey. The camp store has icecream/popsicles for super cheap (my kids loved this). On Saturday the Amish set up with a ton of baked goods for sale next to the camp store. Friends of ours rented a cabin. It was super clean! Stocked with some essentials, flatware, pots/pans..etc.. Staff does a nice job at keeping rules enforced. Quiet time from 11 pm- 8am. I wish they opened up kids activities earlier than 10am since most kids are awake by 8am. That was a little disappointing, but overall we had a nice weekend. read more

This is my first time being at this campground. We came during COVID-19, and my family only saw three or four other families wearing masks and maybe three workers. I understand that some people may choose not to(especially when they are in their site) but even the store workers in the camp shop did not have a mask (even with the "Masks required to enter the store" sign on the front of the door). At the bumper boats, only three were working out ten total. The bumper boats were also not sanitized after uses. The peddle boats work, but the life vests needed to go on them were not sanitized and were just put on the hangers. My 8 year old cousin was placed on a non-working bumper boat and he was floating away from the dock and the worker was just standing and watching. Other people from my family had to bump him back to the docks. The worker at these boats look like young teen and she did not supervise the kids on the boats. Staff was not very friendly eitherz The whole camp ground was packed and I would not recommend camping in a tent if you have plastic pegs for the tent or you do not want to sleep on rocks. There is little grass for the sites and I would say that this campground is primarily a camper/RV campground due to all the rocks. The sites are very close together so if you want extra privacy then I would recommend getting a cabin unless you have a RV and don't mind being seen by everyone. Some sites have trees by them for shade but there isn't much. The river side sites are nice and they have access to the river and those are about the only sites I like. Besides the cabins which are very nice. My family camped in a tent and it was a bad decision. With the only grass being behind the site on the theater grass, we had to push our tent all the way back so we could put up our tent. Other than all that and the fact that I barely see any COVID precautions ANDDDD the fact that the pool was disgustingly packed(no limit to occupancy) and no one had masks on, I'd say that there was some fun things to do to keep you slightly busy if you don't mind walking around people not wearing masks(and things not being cleaned). But this is all clearly based on personal opinion and experience so the same thing may not happen to anyone else. All in all my family and I would rather camp somewhere else and we most likely will not be returning back to this campground. read more

After 2 days there everything was flooding so we were asked to evacuate and would be compensated the lost night plus the wristbands. 2 years later and 30+ calls with still no compensated nights. I'm always given the run around through Facebook. No one ever answers the phone so I have to leave messages. Whoever handles fb messenger says they will call but they never do. 2 ENTIRE years of this bull crap. Stay far far away!! read more

This place sucks every since it got new owners. The toilet water is yellow, the tv doesn't work well, the staff is so strict. One incident that occurred while I was there with an old guy I like to call grump grump, bald headed, grey beard, maybe some glasses. I don't exactly remember. I was in a golf cart with 8 people, he came up letting us know that the limit was 5. Okay, not a problem. 3 people got out, leaving 5 of us in the cart. Fast forward a few hours later. While 3 of us were being picked up from the park, we get into the back seat. Not knowing there are already 3 people in there. We notice this after we get seated, & someone hops out. Guess who comes on by as the person is hoping out of the golf cart. Grump grump. He immediately comes to us. Accused us of only getting out because we saw him, which actually wasn't the case. He also lies & says that that was the third time he had seen us with more than 5 people. He claims he once saw us driving & a person hops on in. Never happened because he knows he would have came to us & said something. He threatens to take the cart away from us & not give a refund for the days we haven't driven the cart. ( we had to pay $300 for all 5 days, & it was only day 2 or 3). Long story short, my father went to go talk to him, & he didn't end up taking the cart. Another experience with an employee was the lady controlling the bike station. She has an attitude & complains about having to do her job. Me & my sister & cousins go up to get a bike & she asks us what site we're in in a rude tone like she doesn't wanna be there. We ask what she said & she ignored our question, when we told her the sites she rolls her eyes, gets out of the little 4 wheeler bike that she was in & starts complaining about us all being in 3 different cabins because she's gotta mark it down. The food station at the pool is only open on 5 out of 7 days of the week, closed on Monday & Tuesday. & there was only one person working in there. The people at the front were very nice tho. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We camp here every year for the week of 4th if July. We look forward to it every year! We always get the sites along the pond. We love the sites back there. The bathroom and showers are always clean. The playground is great for the kids and the pool is the best. They usually have good live entertainment in the tent area and their food somewhat pricey is very good. read more

The pool and water slide were fun, but the area had a lot of small wrappers and trash around. The kids definitely had a blast and there was enough things to keep them occupied like bike park, playground, and bumper boats. If your going to fish make sure you use hot dogs they work the best. I would of gave three stars if the majority of the staff was a little nicer. Many of the employees are down right miserable. The only friendly ones were new on the job. This was our first time visiting Splash Magic. We absolutely loved it. Simple fun that made my kids so happy. We rented a cabin and it was plenty of room for our family of four. It was very clean. Speaking of cleanliness, I was impressed. Even the pool bathrooms were clean!!! I loved that we could buy a activity band for the day and do all the activities at our leisure. The pool is perfect. Even with all the people staying in the campground, the pool never seemed crowded. The staff was always friendly and it seemed constantly working!! I am currently staying in cabin DC10. When we first arrived the cabin smelled terrible, like old urine. We went out and bought soap to mop the floor ourselves just so we don't have to live in the filth for the weekend. Then we had an issue with the foam pit event 2 days in a row. The owner does the foam pit so we talked to him. When my fiancé explained our frustrations about how our children missed the foam pit both days. Due to the staff giving inaccurate time descriptions. The owner became very nasty and even loud. Until I stepped in and told him we don't need to get all loud and carry on they way he is acting in-front of my family. Nothing was resolved other than the owner's attitude when another male told him how to act. I could only imagine how he would act toward his employees behind closed doors. This is the second year we came here for a fun family weekend. Due to the actions from the owner directly it will be the last. If he acted professionally in any way I would not have to be here telling people about this poor experience. read more

This is a cute hidden treasure of a campground here in Pennsylvania. It is easy to miss as our family has for years when coming to the area to visit family. By chance because we have our travel trailer, we found this nice family resort campground. If you think if, they have it. The sites are good sized as we had room for the camper and our SUV. The site had full hookup, cement pad with picnic table on it and nice gravel area to park. Our site was right on the pretty dolphin cove pond which lots like it is stocked with bass and other fish I see swimming by. The showers and bathrooms are clean. So many people are out enjoying the fun like water paddle bikes, row boats, pool with big water slide, ponds, river for boating, bike riding, bumper boats, scooter, golf carts, jump pad, the biggest playground at a campground I have ever seen, campfires, and so much more. You have to stay here awhile to be able to do everything it has to offer. Oh I forgot to mention the staff is very pleasant and seem to really like their jobs. read more

Stayed for Father's Day weekend. Was not impressed at all. The cabin was dirty. There were some serious "irish curtains" (cob webs) hanging from the lights and ceiling. I killed at least 8-10 spiders in the place. The fridge wobbled very badly. I understand we are camping, but I rent a cabin for comfort. My son did enjoy the pool and slides, which are included with your stay. The slides need some maintenance, there are some cracks that scrapped my little guys leg. The step on the pool ladder cracked in half while a girl was getting in. Sorry to be so negative, but the way the staff are so strict on things, you would think they would be as strict on their staff to maintain the place. I could have went to Twin Grove for the same price and had a better/cleaner experience. Do not waste your time paying for the wifi ($2.12/ for 24 hours) it is slow as molasses. AT&T service is spotty. Depending where you stay in the campground, you may have the pleasure of hearing the factory along the highway, it makes some kind of noise like pumps or a vacuum system running. Way too strict. The workers here seem miserable and take out their problems on the people who stay at the resort. Me and my cousins went to go get bikes and a teenage girl who worked their rolled her eyes at us because we all were in different cabins so it was more to write, she had attitude the whole time she spoke to us as well. There is also an old miserable man who works there and if you have more than five people on your golf cart he is supposed to warn you. We got one warning but then a few hours later three people came in the golf cart to pick me and two others up we seated ourselves when we realized someone had to hop off so someone did then you wouldn't believe who showed up the miserable grumpy old man. He assumed that we only got off because he came around and said that was our third warning even tho it wasn't. he threatened to take the cart and not refund our 300 dollars. The water in the toilets are yellow, the beds need to be wiped and have sheets on them because they are brown, there are bugs and dust everywhere. During our experience we realized almost everyone here is racist. When we walked to different attractions we got all kinds of states from white people , some of them even whispering and pointing. One night we were using gelbee guns and a family came to us complaining about the noise even though it had not reached 11pm which is the noise restriction time. This is my fourth time coming here and the whole place has gone downhill since the new management took over. read more

We've camped here twice and cancelled our reservation for the third time. The management of this campground should take a course in customer service. They are extremely rude...all three times I've dealt with them. NEVER AGAIN! There are much better campgrounds in this area. Pool was dirty and our site, which had to be paid in full 30 days in advance, was dirty. Something sticky was melted on the patio. We tried to give them the benefit of doubt, but this last phone call I received from the manager stating she was canceling my 2 sites because I didn't answer her email demanding payment (I never got an email) was the straw that broke the camel's back! My camping trip here was the worst trip I've had so far. The only thing that made it tolerable was the amenities were descent. Pool area and activities were descent. The owners and staff(besides a very very select few) were so rude, unprofessional, and combative about everything. My family booked buddy sites when we called and ended up not getting them. One person there said it's because their map is printed wrong and the owner just got loud and said it's not their problem. Didn't say sorry or offer to fix it or anything. The store staff was very rude to the kids. This just was not a pleasant trip and all because of the staffs attitude. We had a wonderful experience at Splash Magic Campground over the Memorial Day weekend! In spite of the busy holiday weekend and a full campground, check-in was quick and efficient. Everyone who worked there was very helpful and friendly. All our fellow campers seemed very friendly as well. We are not very experienced campers and decided to rent one of their larger Magic Cabins. It was clean although smaller than how it appears in photos. It had a full size (double) bed and large wooden dresser in one room. It had a twin over full bunk bed in a second room along with a second twin over twin bunk bed in the same room. Each bunk had two large drawers under the bottom bunk. The mattresses were covered in zippered vinyl coverings which allows for cleaning with disinfecting wipes and keeps out bed bugs, fleas and such (something referred to in another review but we saw absolutely no evidence). One word about the mattresses. Some were hard as rock and others were a bit more comfortable. You might want to consider bringing your own camping mattress pad to lay over top for a better night's sleep. The cabin also had a pull-out love seat for more sleeping space, and a full kitchen with basic supplies (microwave, drip coffee maker, fridge, gas-stove, dishes, silverware, cups, pots and pans, trash can). The bathroom was clean and all the plumbing worked fine. We fit two families with four adults and three young boys fairly comfortably (ages five and six). Every cabin and RV lot comes with a cement pad, picnic bench, weber charcoal grill, and fire ring (my kids loved roasting marshmallows). There is a store onsite that sells firewood, ice, marshmallows, worms for fishing and lots of other supplies. There is also a snack bar but no restaurant. We were able to get pizza and Italian food delivered from nearby. I was a bit worried when we arrived by how close all the RVs and cabins are to each other. The place was full, since it was a holiday weekend. But at no time did we feel crowded. People seemed respectful of each other. Music played from some cabins but none were too loud. Nights were quiet with a mandated 11 p.m. - 8 a.m. quiet time. The best part was the golf carts that most people rented to get around. There were also tons of bikes. The large fishing pond (catch and release only) was right across the little road from us so our boys could take their fishing rods and go fishing whenever they liked. And yes we caught a few fish. They really loved the pools (kiddie pool, family pool) and the two water slides. There is also a heated adult pool and a hot tub for anyone 16 years and older. Other popular activities included a mini golf course, a large playground with swings, slides, and climbing equipment, and a dirt bike course. Our kids loved the bumper boats and bicycles to rent. They were a bit too short for the paddle boats and low-slung pedal bikes also available to rent. You can rent a multi-person surrey to pedal around the campground. And there is a tram ride twice a day pulled by a tractor that goes around the campground while the driver sings silly songs. Our friends bought their small fishing boat. There is a boat ramp and our kids were able to go fishing on the Susquehanna. There was a fair mix of people. I was pleased to see a few families of color (black, hispanic, and mixed) who seemed to be having as much fun as were were. Some people have RVs that they keep there. The best sites were the RV and tent sites right on the Susquehanna River. It's really beautiful there. Most people were either RV enthusiasts or people staying in cabins. There were a few motorcycle enthusiasts. Lots of RVers brought their dogs (on leash only). I don't believe that dogs are allowed in the cabins. One of the great conveniences is that there are three nearby towns (Northumberland, Sunbury and Shamokin Dam) that have all the conveniences; Walmart, K-mart, Target, restaurants, etc.). So if you forget something, it's a short drive away. This is camping (or glamping as we called it since we were more comfortable than being in a tent). So I suggest bringing the following with you. dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, sheets (full and twin size), blankets, pillows, food, coffee, bottled water (the tap water is probably potable but we didn't want to risk it). The only drawback to the entire three day weekend was that on Sunday the pool water turned green. It was packed the day before and the filtration system probably couldn't handle all those people, especially little kids doing who knows what in the water. Other than that, we had no complaints. In fact, we had such a good time that we definitely plan to return and are even looking into buying an RV and joining the RV crowd! Ok where do I start....... Just returned home from my first trip to Splash Magic for Labor Day and I was SO happy I didn't listen to some of the negative reviews. I stayed in site C-16 and it was absolutely by far the best camping trip of the year ! This place is absolutely amazing ! I met the owner and he was a very nice guy, as was all his staff. Campground has so much to offer for the kids we actually we ran out of time and didn't even get to do everything we wanted to. Yes, they do enforce the rules which me and my wife actually loved. My kids got spoken to a few times by staff and I actually appreciated it because the staff was just trying to keep them safe ( example... running in pool area, going down slide wrong ). This owner seems to invest a lot of time and money into this place and I have no idea how you can give this place a negative review. The only two reasons I can come up with is you didnt follow the rules and got spoken to and you were unhappy about that or camping is not for you and you should sell your camper and stay at a 5 star Manhattan hotel. This is camping at its best and im already booked for same time and site for next year. Thank you Splash Magic for the awesome camping trip and can't wait to return next year. read more

We had stayed here July 4-7. The campground is okay however the staff and owner are unable to address issues for their campers. Unfortunately we had very disrespectful campers across from us that played extremely loud music and screamed, yelled, laughed very loud. There were about 10-15 in their group. We were unable to have conversations at our own picnic table due to their behavior. We had difficulties sleeping inside our camper due to how loud these campers were. Many other campers told us they reported them and we also called the office as well as reported to the staff riding around on golf carts. Each time the music would go down for 10 min then be back at the same level. Quiet time is at 11:00 but that didn't stop the rude campers. The music and yelling continued until 1:00 am and beyond. We were told by office staff the next complaint they would be kicked out. One of the rude campers jumped on the back of someone's else's golfcart as they rode by. The guy had kids on his cart and so he gassed the cart and the rude camper sort of jumped off. He started angrily yelling "come the f**k back here". The obnoxious behavior continues into the night July 5. By this time we are fed up and spoke to the owners husband. He personally went to the camp site that is an issue and told them they needed to leave immediately. We could hear much of the conversations. The campers came out screaming we will fight to stay here. At this time I'd like to point out they happened to be Puerto Rican so it's hard to understand all of what they said as much was not in English. This started an argument with the campers yelling in both English and Spanish. One of the campers threatened to kill the owner. Back up came to help the owner and by this time we were also looking for protection as we didn't know what was going to happen. Our kids were sent inside as the younger ones were very scared. The campers claimed they were being discriminated and that they were Americans too. That all other campgrounds have a quiet time of 3am. Ultimately they again were permitted to stay. And the behavior continued until about 1:30 am when screaming broke out among the rude campers. Apparently a "family issue" caused a physical fight and someone was getting beat. We had had enough and called the owner to come now or we were calling the cops. The wife of the owner did come promptly with her husband. Many of the disrespectful campers had already started to flee. Once again they claimed discrimination was the cause of the complaints which is by far not the truth. We heard the owner tell these disrespectful campers that she will IGNORE all future complaints against these campers. And that is exactly what she did. When we approached her the next day for check out, she claimed she was only told once about the problem campers. Thankfully another couple checking out came in during the conversations and also said they reported the problems with these campers and were afraid they would land on their daughters tent when the fight broke out. The owner then blamed her staff for not telling her but did admit her husband was threatened to be killed. She told us she would call us by 8pm, but likely by 5pm to allow her to discuss more with her staff. She never did call us. I guess she decided to IGNORE the respectful campers instead. Shame on you Splash Magic! Its unfortunate you allowed such rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful behavior to your own campground, your staff, your campers, and your own loved ones. read more

This campground came highly recommended but I was very disappointed. The staff is rude, short, curt!!! The campground messed up our reservation, and when we went to check in, we could not take the site they had us booked on as the amps were not high enough for our camper. The only site they had that could accommodate us we took. We got to the site, and it was shanty town. It was right in front of where they dumped all of their unused junk. I had to look at that and a camper on the other side of us that hadn't been moved in a while and had weeds all around it that were at least a foot long. To make matters worse, the person who made the change never changed it in the computer and 2 days later, someone else showed up to set up on our site. The "head of maintenance" climbed on my husbands truck to get our last name instead of just asking us. When I asked him to please get off of my husbands truck, he ignored me. He then implied that we were going to have to move after being on the site for 2 days. After the mess was cleared up by the women who runs the campground, he didn't even apologize. Our site also had exposed wires sticking out of the ground that we had to put cardboard over so our children wouldn't get hurt. The fire ring was in the middle of where we parked and the site next to us parked, and we couldn't move it because the rest of the site was all concrete so we couldn't have a campfire at all. The fire ring hadn't been emptied in a long time. They do no maintenance on their water activity machines and the trikes are missing peddles. Don't try to ride them with no shoes on because your feet will hurt at the end of the ride. The bathroom floors in the bathrooms at the pool are tile. Tile mixed with pool water all over the place makes slippery floors. My son fell 3 times in the bathroom because of the wet floors. The snack shake didn't have half of the items on their list and didn't tell me until after I had already paid. So, I told the guy just give me the money back. His response was "I can't because I don't know how." I asked him to find someone and he said "well, it'll be a while 'cause I don't know where they are." He told me to pick something else. The hot tub smells like urine and if you sit in it, you will too until you wash your bathing suit. Also, they do not enforce the rules such as no one under the age of 16 aloud in the hot tub, there were young kids like 7 or 8, hence the urine smell. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the slides at the pool were descent, they have a nice playground and lots of activities (if you are willing to pay extra for them). read more
