We were really disappointed with our recent stay at Knobels Campground. Two night minimum during the week = $570. I had never stood in a cabin before, I was expecting "rough conditions" I just didn't expect them to be this rough. I sent photos to friends, family, coworkers. Everyone wrote back "that's not rough, that's disgusting." I felt confused because when I booked the lady bragged on the phone how lucky I was to be able to get an Eagles Roost, people book years in advance. I wish I wasn't so lucky! I was advised that they will update their cabins little by little in the near future. It's just sad that the people who are currently staying here have to pay such a high price to help fund the future cabins and this is what they get. Clearly by the looks of the cabin they have done any upkeep in the last few years, even a little touch up paint. The new cabins should have happened a lot sooner. read more

For the past 3 years, trying to make a reservation or make a payment with Knoebels is a frustrating experience. When you call to either make a reservation or make a payment, it is an all day adventure. Getting someone on the phone takes hours. Today, I spent an hour on hold, then got into the que hold at about 9:30 am, then I called back in the afternoon to be put on hold again for over 30 min, then having not received a return call, I called again around 4:00 only to be put on hold again, for over 30 minutes. I also emailed Knoebels but received no response. If you do not make a timely payment then your reservation is cancelled. read more

The place sucks...sites are way too small..had a guy light a fire a few feet from my truck on my site and think nothing of it...few real campers...no camper etiquette. People walking through your sites, loud at night, rude...by a walmart tent n were are campers..no! Management is all about the dollar... do not recommend the place. Over priced besides. read more

We have been camping for years and have never been presented the voucher by the campground office for discounted park tickets. From hearing from others we went to the office and picked up a voucher. The park guest services denied the voucher due to it being a weekend (we checked in on a Thursday) even though this was a fault of the registration office. Instead of making it right and honoring the 10% we should have been given, we had a nasty woman come tell us that the information is in the check in paperwork and they would not be honoring it. Needless to say errors are made at this establishment and accountability is lacking. Would have been nice to have had all our information during check in and could plan our stay more cost effective. read more

Camping, amusement park, swimming pool, fire pits and all the fun things jumbled into one place. Love it. The set up for the cottages and payments is not the same as the campground. Beware because there are a handful of 'figure it out' situations if you are new. For 1, not all of cottages are listed on the main page. They aren't exactly forthcoming about it and I found that the Glasshouse and Hemlock cottages look the best in person. Granted I didn't see every cottage but they have more of a secluded area with the kind of set up I prefer. For 2, when you go to pick up and drop off your key it is NOT at the registration area. Instead it is in the amusement park area near the nurse station. Also, they don't exactly drop off your free firewood bundle so we just grabbed it. Lastly, whoever books the year before gets first dibs. Next year, I'll be staying at the campground large trailers, which they don't even have photos of. Don't worry I will hook Yelp up so there will be photo references. Once you get past those little wonderments, it's all good. My family and friends have been coming to this campground EVERY year for the last 45+ years! This was my first trip up and I was blown away. Walking distance to the park and pool. Fantastic facilities. High pressure showers, laundry machines on site, electric hook ups at every site. All of the sites seem to be pretty level. The staff was very friendly. If you forget something they have a very reasonably priced camp store with all kinds of supplies and trinkets. Beautiful pools on site- paved roads. EXTREMELY pet friendly. We walked our dog around every where, even the park! We WILL be back and hanging on to this tradition with our family. This is such a magical place for kids. read more

Very nice place. The staff were very friendly. But there were some flaws that I had to point out. I have traveled to many different campgrounds, stayed in many cabins, this one though, is the first cabin I've ever stayed at where there is no A/C. Friday and Saturday were bearable since it wasn't that hot out on both days. Sunday was a scorcher and that cabin got pretty hot. The fan at the top floor does basically nothing. A window unit would've been nice to have in the cabin, but I guess I'll have to bring my own next time. The top floor didn't have any plugs in it at all for my kids to plug in their tables. And the bathrooms didn't have any paper towels or even a hand dryer. All in all, it was a good stay. I'll definitely come back. But some ac, and some plugs upstairs would be nice. And some paper towels in the bathroom. read more

Been here two times for a few days each, seven years apart. I really had a great time with my family. They loved the rides and I love the cost for going because of the wrist band deal! That is really wonderful. We had a blast! It is hard to find the camping area because the signs are slightly vague, so we had a hard time but asked around and found where registration was. It is pretty easy to find your camp site after that though with the wonderful map they give to you. Each site is separated by giving a name of a state and a letter. We had a good area that had shade and sun depending on where we'd sit. I liked that. The staff there clean the bathrooms every single morning, and me being an early bird, that is not a problem because I had already brushed my teeth and washed my face and put on make up by then, but I do think that the time frame in which they clean the bathrooms is my only issue. It is around when most people are waking up. I had to walk to three different bathroom areas to bring my sons to the bathroom one of the mornings. When at the pool area, I sat down on one of the stairs that is in the water. When I got up, the line from the stairs was glued to my bum on my bathing suit and did not come out. They have a lot of life guards on duty and pay attention pretty well otherwise and have a lot of staff to help if you need them. read more

We have camped here for a number of years. Each year the staff get worse and worse. The right hand and left haven't a clue what is going on. They rented me a handicap scooter but stoped me (by pulling the key out) at the end of the second day to tell me my dog wasn't allowed on. Then they found out he was working and allowed it. The woman who rented it saw him jump on. Just silly. It's like they don't have anything better to do. At 11 its quit time. At 11:29 security came by and asked if our radio was on. My husbands reply was "not unless our air conditioner is playing Judas Priest" lol. Last year we had such a problem with security we got to meet one of the head people who ended up being really nice. They pay these people nothing and in turn their staffs entertainment is finding and needling people with their rules. If you have kids and are in bed at 10, it might be fine. Other then that, stay away. And worse, they don't care. They act like they hate their jobs and truly don't like the people they are there to help, service, work for. Very sad. So Knobles, after so many years, screw you. We plan on taking our money and moving to a campsite that will treat us with respect and even without a park we will have more fun watching our dog crap someplace else. The campground if small, tight and dirty. What little grass we had was long and full of garbage. If they cleaned it, since the last campers, we could not tell. The staff is quick to take your money but do not bother them once that transaction is over. I tried to use their showers but was so grossed out I just couldn't. Thank God I had a camper. I love this amusement park. It is homey, comfortable, affordable, & the staff are nice & helpful. The park is FREE to enter with the rides requiring the purchase of tickets. You can purchase tickets any time, or you can get all day ride bracelets M-F. The tickets & bracelets are well priced. There is a nice little area for the kiddos with rides & games, & plenty of rides for adults & such throughout the park. There are plenty of delicious food options for every taste. The prices are generally cheaper than other amusement parks I've been to before. There is a big pool with several slides in the park. There are both campgrounds & cabins to stay in. We stayed in a nice, 2 story, 4 bedroom cabin which ran about $250/ night. The cabin was cute, clean, & spacious. There was plenty of room for the 4 kiddos that were with us. The campsites were every close together. So if your looking for authentic "in nature camping" this isn't the place for you. Definitely research the campsites before booking because some spots are optimal over others. That being said, it was a great place to camp and enjoy the amusement park. The grounds are kept very clean and the shower and bathrooms are maintained daily. They also have a coin operated dryer/washer and a community sink to wash dishes. The shower water is scalding hot with no way to regulate so unless a lot of folks are showering at once, be prepared to have the dirt and flesh melted off of your body. I could somewhat tolerate the hot water but my poor kiddos could not. Overall, I would definitely come back. I freaking hate camping but this place and the amusement park within walking distance made it tolerable and my kids had an absolute blast. read more

Four star for friendly staff and convenience to the amusement park. We stayed in the Klondike section. Camping in a 25 ft. motorhome. Most sites were sort of level, with some sort of shade. Gravel parking spots. The only hook up offer at any site is electric. Water fill and dump stations were plentiful and easy to access. The Fun Bus that picks you up to get to the park was timely, we never waited more than 10 minutes. Most everyone was quiet by 11 PM. The only noise issue was some fire works being put off by a camper in the lower sections, since it was the 4th of July weekend, we expected that to happen. We would stay here again, but ONLY in the Klondike area. read more

It's a very nice campground and pretty quiet for the most part, sure there's sounds of people having fun but it quiets down when it's time to go to sleep. The bathrooms are cleaner than I would expect. You can walk to the park and there is also a shuttle. There is a good variety of campsites and cabins. read more

We go to Knoebels every year but this was the first year we camped at their campgrounds. Such a great experience and we can't wait to return next year! There are a lot of camp sites here so don't expect too much privacy, but quiet hours are in effect from 11pm to 8pm and we didn't have any issues with neighbors not following the rules. Each site has electric and if your site is not flat, then there will be a big wooden platform to put your tent on. Each site also has a picnic table and fire pit. There's a store on premises to buy sundries, stuff for s'mores, souvenirs, etc. You can also purchase wood if you need to. Bathrooms were always clean. They do clean them first thing in the morning and I think they would be better off cleaning a bit later in the morning or mid-day. Everyone is getting up in the morning and going to the bathroom and at times, some of the restrooms will be closed for cleaning causing a line to use the restroom. I love the fact that you can walk directly into the park! Book early as it can be tough to get a spot. Looking forward to next year! read more

If you hate camping but your family wants to go, this is perfect for you. If you're a true TENT camper, this is NOT the place for you. My husband and I are middle of the woods, nothing around for miles kind of campers but we wanted to go to knoebels for our 3 year old. The campground was pretty packed for a Monday. Their campground is huge. Our site was the best out of about 6-7 we checked out that were available. We picked the best of 5 because it was close to the bathroom (good for toddlers) and the most level we could see. Unfortunately, the site was all gravel. We had no grass. We also had no privacy from other campers, that's how packed it was. There were a ton of families in rv's, pop up campers and tent campers on platforms. The gravel was actually pretty sharp so I'm surprised our tent didn't get a hole in the bottom. Thank goodness my husband was able to break ground to be able to even set up the tent. Quiet time was 11pm to 8am. That's a pretty serious the for serious tent campers like ourself but we had our 3 year old up until at least 12:30am because people around us were so loud. Not to mention the car alarm at 7:30am and again, loud talkers. The bathrooms were okay...I rinsed off in the shower after the pool and the drain was full of hair. The bathrooms were messy from other campers but cleaned regularly. Plenty of showers and stalls and we never had to wait. While the space was beautiful and you could walk from your site (most of, anyway), to the park, the price per site with 1 structure was $48 a night. We are used to state parks where it's $25 a night and lots of privacy/grass. The staff was great, the grounds crew were diligent in their duties and the park itself was great. HOWEVER. We will never stay at his campground again. I feel like most of the sites should be advertised as RV/Popup sites but offered as tent sites if you really wanted to stay. But still, we wouldn't go back because of the other people who were inconsiderate. read more

We stay here (in a cabin), as often as possible. the cabins all have electricity. there is a shuttle service running every 20 min that will take you to the entrance of the park. Staff is extremely friendly & helpful. Cabins are neat, clean, and large enough for our big family. We love it here! read more

If you like to be uncomfortable and hot then this place is perfect for you. This place is as bare as it gets. There's no hookups for your RV so your forced to use their disgusting bathrooms and showers. Which you have to press a button to continue to use water with no temperature control. Sinks outside to wash hands. No paper towels. No lights throughout campground so unsafe for small children. I'm sorry but never again. Also heads up, you can't even do fireworks for Fourth of July. You're better off staying a hotel near by you so don't end up with any diseases. read more

The price is right (cheap). The location is great (walk to the rides). The sites are very small and very crowded. No privacy. The sites have very sharp crushed stone as the base (really bad for tents). The bath houses are the worst IV ever used. Bring Clorox wipes. But, we had SO MUCH FUN!! So affordable!! read more
