Thankful that Clearbrook Water Systems responded in a timely way to our initial phone call. My 89…read moreyer old mother's water system needed to be upgraded. Clearbrook promptly replaced the old one with a new unit. The water system wan not properly installed. The next morning, we found a big watery mess all over our kitchen floor. The Kitchen floor warped by the time that the subcontractor arrived to fix it. Twice he came to look at the floor whatever he did made matters worse. He accused us of having a warped floor all along. Not at all true. The floor had been fine before he installed the new system. He agreed to sweep up wood shavings all over our basement floor from a hole that he drilled in our basement ceiling. He did not clean up after himself under the kitchen sink. Another mess there. The floor and appliances in the basement were left a mess by his "work space." We were disheartened consumers. Neither Clearbrook nor the floor subcontractor would fix what warped floor properly. Blame shifting took place. They would not call nor make amends despite our calls and text messages. Soooo disappointed. That warped floor cost us another $700. A local handyman attempted to repair it. At least the floor was safer for my 89 year old mother to walk on now. Still today we have a bit of a warped (uneven) kitchen floor in the house. We attempted to go to small claims court for reparations due to our financial losses. Not sure who we can trust to give attention to our osmosis machine now (Streetsboro area).

I give Kinetico 2 Stars…read more I give it 2 instead of 1 only because of the product itself. The system (so far) seems to work fine. The low rating is, instead, for the people, installation, and horrendous customer service. They don't show up with what they need to do the installation so they have to reschedule. They show up more than 2 hours late to do the installation. They tell you it will take 2-3 hours to do the installation and then don't leave for more than 6 hours. When you complain, it takes 5 days for them to get around to getting back to you (I'm talking to you VP Higgins) with a pathetic, insulting "apology" and compensation offer. They do not care in the slightest whether you are satisfied or not. They got your money, they're satisfied. Buy the system if you want. But know the people will insult you, waste your entire day, and drill into the foundation of your house without asking. Up to you. P. S. UPDATE: VP Higgins has made an acceptable offer as compensation. The statements above remain true.

Sal was extremely professional in sending out their repair person. However, the person who came…read morewas very unfriendly. When I asked him to wear a mask, he refused. When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

What a joke. First I was told I needed a whole new system for 12k. Then it was just the fan motor…read morebut needed a new fan blade to go with it. With that being said the fan blade was completely fine. Once he quoted me 1241 dollars for the same motor that was 165 online I just asked him to stop what he was doing and leave. Rob came on a Saturday within an hour of us calling after noticing a significant water heater leak…read more He works tirelessly for almost 7 hours, finishing the job at 11 PM, removing the old heater and installing a new heater. Excellent attitude, extremely hard worker. Highly recommend it. Addition, Rob also identified another major issue with our water that we bundled into the repair. The company prices are commensurate with the quality you will receive. The cheapest path is not always the best one.

Should be ZERO stars, but I have to give at least one on here in order to post this. With a little…read moreresearch (after the fact), I learned that their "plumbers" are actually salesmen who earn a commission. So, expect high-pressure tactics and quotes for the most amount of money they can squeeze out of your wallet. They pressured an elderly family member into signing up for an extremely expensive repair, and even discouraged her from getting other quotes. Turns out, the actual repair was MUCH smaller than they said on the estimate, but since it's a flat rate, we still had to pay the full amount (almost ten thousand dollars). Oh, and then after the initial repair was done, they found another "problem" farther down the line and wanted to fix that...for another $10K. Unbelievable. I reached out to their customer service dept several times and didn't get so much as a reply. We'll never be using Roto Rooter for anything ever again. Hire them if you're looking to get severely ripped off. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and use a good, local tradesman. Also, don't ever let them talk to elderly loved ones. They WILL take advantage of them.
