Friendly, professional, and constantly refilling drinks. did a great job w/ the separate checks as well. So, great job. Food was just okay. I had the Bacon Mushroom burger w/ a soda for $13.75. The burger was, well, think Burger King Whopper. But smaller w/ a smaller patty of meat. The menu says it's a 6 oz. patty, but it's most likely a 4 oz. patty. Pretty small. Only cooked one way, MW. A 6 oz. patty could be cooked to order. It was tasty, but so is a BK Whopper for less than half the price. I looked at some other's food. Some nice salads and sandwiches. My friend had the Loaded Wedge Fries for about $11.00. About a cup full of fries, melted cheese and some bacon. A VERY small portion for the price. So, I've actually never had bad service here. My family visits this restaurant on a regular basis. A great menu with a lot of options for adults and kids. Also and fully stocked bar. Although service can be hit and miss due to staffing issues, as with the rest of the state. I feel like they always do their best. They're trying, but it's hard to love the place. There's something of a cavernous feel about the room, very high ceiling and tables spread out so everyone is rather isolated. Lots of echo, lots of people noise and ubiquitous music adding to the confusion. Something about this warehouse size room is always uncomfortable. Great place for kids birthday party. Hamburger was excellent, chopped salad would be great if they used the Italian dressing the menu offers, but it was creamy something and a huge amount of bleu cheese. Far too much bleu. They were busy, so the house made bread sticks weren't baked long enough, not browned and doughy. I'd recommend their appetizer chicherones (pork rinds) as they were hot and delicious. Same way with service, we've had attentive competent servers in the past then last Sunday our waitress acted like she was doing us a favor to take our order. The couple who were with us had never been to Splitz, they ordered bone in chicken wings. Our server asked if they wanted crispy or extra crispy? This was puzzling, so they asked what that meant. She responded saying extra crispy had extra breading, crispy was regular breading. Again, puzzling. Our friend said so you bread the wings here? Waitress is visibly annoyed, yes, like any other place breads wings. Friend, oh ok, crispy is fine. When the order came out there was no breading just tiny squab size wings with skin that crisped up when deep fried. (Like any other place) There wasn't enough meat in the entire 16 piece order to fill 2 sauce cups. (Slight exaggeration) Our spinach artichoke dip was fine but stone cold & was sent back to be heated. We didn't bother to order a meal since the server never came back to ask if we wanted another round of drinks or ask if our appetizers were ok. read more

We stopped in here to eat when we were in Roseburg one weekend for my daughter's gymnastics meet. For some reason I did not have high expectations, perhaps because I can be a bit of an atmosphere/food snob and my past experience of restaurants attached to bowling alleys has not always been positive. Boy was I mistaken about this place! Although it can be feel a little impersonal inside due to how high the ceilings are and the great expanse of the restaurant, we had a great experience. Our server was amazing and the food and beer was tasty. I've been to Splitz several times, but when I tried to check in using Yelp today, I saw it wasn't even listed on Yelp. What?! Splitz is part of Roseburg's newly-built bowling entertainment facility, Ten Down. It's a bar and grill with a very open floor plan, a great food menu, a decent selection of beers on tap and a full service bar. Bartenders are HOT, SMART and full of personality. Katie was ours today, and we had her to ourselves since it was after lunch and this is Roseburg. :) She made our short visit an absolute pleasure. There are several large screen displays, tons of seating, a stage with a quality lighting and sound system. This place is packed during televised sporting events, and pretty busy on Friday and Saturday nights. As I said, Splitz has fantastic food, beverages and a great atmosphere-- making it easily one of the top 5 places to hang out in Roseburg. read more

Just what a sports bar should be. A big friendly space with multiple screens playing various sports. A great place to watch a big event or a hot rivalry. Excellent selection of beer. 9/22/16. Ordered the Baja Fish Taco's. The order came in a reasonable amount of time. The server was nice, polite and prompt in bringing the food out. The tacos however were less than even GOOD. 3 Tortillas with fish and some sort of slaw with a weak weak sauce of some sort. Not even seasoned, runny and very little in the taco. The menu description says mango habanero sauce OR Cilantro-lime Slaw and served with baja roasted corn medley OR fresh tortilla chips with pico. I got the chips, No Pico I got the slaw with corn medley, no cilantro lime anything. JUST lettuce with a few kernels of corn and black beans. Today he got the wings which were good and I got the steak salad as a wrap which they offer all their salads as a wrap on the menu. The one star missing is because the salad tonight was really really awful. Id give that salad no stars. Fresh greens but smothered to death in a sweet blue cheese dressing, I squeezed so much out onto my plate it made a pool. Steak wasn't what I expected. I was expecting big chucks but it was thin and sweet, like stir fry meat. Really really bad with bell peppers which added to the sweetness. All wrapped up in an microwaved uncooked tortilla. Again burgers and wings are delicious, and it's a good place to enjoy a beer. we've been back a few times. The steak salad I DONT RECOMMEND and I hope the restaurant reads this and reworks it. This is a pretty good sports tavern with delicious food. Their pizza and sandwiches are flavorful with big portions. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly. Large screen tv's all around. I'm rating the "business " side of the restaurant not the food. I made reservations for a Saturday evening Birthday party. For the upper section. The day of the party, they called and said they can't reserve tables for me. Was told that on Ducks game days they aren't supposed to take reservations. It's first come first serve. I was not happy at all. Invites had already been sent and where else in this town can we get tables reserved this late of notice....I asked about using the party room, she put me on hold and then came back on saying nothing is available on that side at all. So of course I asked, is there still a way we can keep this reservation? She said no, they are not supposed to make reservations on game days since they're always so busy with people who come in to specifically watch the games. That whoever took my reservation should not have in the first place. I was not happy to hear that she is refusing to honor my reservation. I told her this was not the first time they've pulled this on me. Back in 09 I made reservations MONTHS in advance for my class reunion. I called a few weeks before the date of to give them a head count. I was told there was no reservation in my name or our class!!! I was pissed!! We worked that out with them though. But this time, for good business, they should've honored my reservation and just make sure they don't do it again in the future. We ended up at Abby's. It worked out, we all had a good time but I will not trust Splitz again. So heads up if you ever make a reservation, you better call back and confirm before invitations go out because they just might screw you over without a care in the world. She did apologize for the inconvenience and offered to speak to manager about giving us a discount on food or bowling if we still choose to come in but I wasn't going to go in there a try to "hold" tables for 3 hours before the party was supposed to start. The food was great, the beer on tap was pretty good, the service was ok-I felt like we were bothering our waitress just to have our order taken and get a drink. My friend and I came to watch the Ducks football game and eat dinner, the screen they had playing the game was great. It was not very comfortable to stay for hours and watch the game though. The chairs were hard and uncomfortable and it was cold. We ended up leaving to find a more exciting and comfortable place to watch the game. Would definitely come back to eat here though. read more

We brought our kids here for a fun outing and all in all we had a good time... Bowling was fun, the lanes are really nice and new, very kid friendly and the staff was nice. The restaurant was really nice, it has a nice little kids play area and a nice bar. Now, why only two not-so-nice stars? We were literally one of 4 tables occupied in this HUGE place... Not exactly slammed. The waitress was nice and prompt initially but was the ONLY staff there. As soon as a few more tables arrived, still at about 5% capacity, we were out of luck on service. Food arrived after a bit of a long wait... No napkins, no silverware, no ketchup, no drink, etc etc. the food was good, except the veggie burger, which tasted literally like dirt. We were polite in letting her know, and yet the bill came and - surprise - no love. If someone tells you something is that bad, hmmm, perhaps ask them if they'd like something else or offer to take a bit off the bill? I can't fault her, she had no help, but for as much money as they've obviously invested in this place, you'd think a two-person minimum wait staff would be a rule(?) I know it was not the waitresses fault, but we had a mediocre experience at the restaurant. Disappointing as the rest of our experience with bowling was fun. Also the game area in the bowling alley at first glance seems fun, but many of the games were broken and ripped us off... Luckily just a few bucks worth but my 3 year old was pretty bummed out! read more
