When I submitted an inquiry request online I didn't hear back right away but then I eventually got really awesome communication. I think my message was missed, but once it was found SpoLang made sure that they let me know they got my info request. It says on their website that kids need to be toilet trained before attending class. They have classes up to age 18. I haven't had my kids in this program but I've been in the inquiry process and they seemed really available to answer questions. I might just recommend giving them a call instead of using the online request form if you want answers right away. I wish I would have done something like this as a child so I could speak more confidently, so you will probably see me here soon!

She enjoyed it until she was utterly humiliated by Frau Barnes infront of other children when she had an accident. Our daughter was potty trained but just got carried away/didn't feel comfortable going at the time she was asked and had an unfortunate accident. She was hysterically crying when she was picked up and wouldn't settle for some time. She informed us that Frau Barnes spoke unkindly with her right in front of the other children and actually told her "you don't pee on my carpet!". Now my daughter has never heard that phrase from anyone in the family therefore I know for a fact that the satatement was not made up by our daughter (besides, English is her second language). Frau Barnes humiliated her to a point where she started hating that class and would not agree to return. Although, Frau Barnes states shes happy to accept kids 2 years and older I unfortunately don't agree (our daughter was 3 at the time).

If you are looking for a party campus you are not going to find alot here. That being said if you want to go to some parties you can seek them out if you want to. Though the school does have Christian values and I would say is a Christian school it does not try and force it on its students which I appreciate. If you want to seek the Christian religion you can if you don't most people will respect you and treat you the same. No chapel Is required, but there are various Christian events throughout the week. You do have to take one Bible class here if you want to graduate. The teaching is excellent though sometimes you get a bad professor or one that you just don't click with. But I feel like it is that way with most schools. The professors try to make themselves available to you. And genuinely want to help you. They are professors first and not just researchers which means they will actually teach. Never in my classes have I had a TA teach the whole class.Whitworth also has this thing called Jan term where you take 1 class over the month of January. This is a great way to get Gen Eds out of the way. Student life is good. Most RAs are not out to get you in trouble and actually want to have a relationship with you. The University adheres to the Big 3 (which are the main rules) no alcohol or drugs, no cohabitation, and no disturbing the peace. If you follow these rules you should be ok. And if you want to do theese things just do them off campus. The nicer resident halls are Oliver, Duvall, and Boppell. The other ones are older, but still have great communities. Really it is you who can make or break your experience. Finally the campus is most beautiful in early fall and late spring. (When school starts and when school ends) you will see people out and about in the loop, throwing a frisbee. In the winter it gets incredibly cold and snowy. If you don't like snow don' t go here. But the campus does turn into a nice winter wonderland from November to January. Overall this place has great academics and you get out what you put in. Also they tend to give great financial aid packages.

That led me to Eastern Washington University. While the Online BASW program itself is appealing, my admissions experience was unfortunately one of the most difficult I have encountered. After being admitted to EWU, I applied to the BASW program. From that point on, it often felt like the different departments were not communicating with one another. I was told multiple times that my official transcripts had not been received, even though another department had already confirmed they had been received. I found myself repeatedly providing screenshots of emails and confirming information that had already been given to me by EWU staff. The process felt disorganized, and I often had the impression that one department did not know what another department was doing. As a prospective transfer student trying to make an important educational decision, it was frustrating to spend so much time following up on information that should have already been available internally. There were positive experiences along the way. Al A. was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Denise A. was also courteous and assisted me with the admissions process. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by the overall lack of coordination. I never felt confident that my application was moving forward, and because my transcript evaluation continued to be delayed, I ultimately had to withdraw my application to avoid losing my place at another university. I believe EWU has a strong Online BASW program with great potential, but the admissions process would benefit greatly from better communication between departments, more consistent information, and a stronger focus on supporting prospective students. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future applicants.

My son and daughter have been in Kumon for 3 years and both have been #1 in their class at school for reading and math. During this pandemic, they have been able to use their kumon homework to keep up with and add to their school curriculum. I still feel bad that they are not able to attend public school but at least I have some comfort in knowing they are doing their kumon everyday and will not fall behind when school starts back up. This builds rapport, year after year, and better understanding of how the child learns best. - It's tech free. No computers, no tablets, no movies. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Kids have their hands on realia. Not screens. - Updates. Parents receive updates from their teachers, snippets of what's happening in the classroom. - It comes with a wholesome community. Friendly, welcoming, and inclusive with plenty of coordinated opportunities to socialize with others, if your family is socially inclined. - The kids are outdoors every single day with plenty of recess time and weekly hikes. In the grades, they take plenty of field trips, locally and further. They camp and take international trips. It's an amazing experience for the students. I am in the process of a career transition. Shifting from HR/Recruiting over to Accounting. In…read moremaking this change, I enrolled in the online Master of Professional Accounting program at EWU, which I just completed a couple of months ago. While the EWU campus is in Cheney, the Schools of Business & Accounting operate out of the Catalyst Building in Spokane, which is why I am reviewing the program in this listing. Upon acceptance to this program, an evaluation will be made to determine if you need to complete any prerequisites before starting the regular program. Since my major was not in Accounting, I ended up having to do 5 courses, which equated to about a half year as courses are 6 weeks long and there are two sessions each quarter. In total, it took a little over 2 years to complete all program requirements. There are no set times for each class, so courses are structured for you to go at your own pace and when you have time to complete the coursework. Classes typically had a discussion post due mid-week and homework was due on Sunday. There were also quizzes, exams and final projects for many of the classes that I took. If you can take one more class per session, you will graduate more quickly. However, I would not advise this if you are currently working, as the course load may be too much. Most of the professors are working in other positions during the day and some do not reside in Washington. There seems to be minimal staff at the university, aside from a student advisor. I thought the pace of the classes was manageable for a student new to this field and for someone already working in the field. Though I felt the coursework was primarily theoretical and more geared towards learning the content to pass the CPA exam. I would have liked to have received more of a practical education, where I applied the concepts as they are used in the workplace. The university is in the process of becoming a polytechnic university focused on hands-on learning, which hopefully will address this issue. From a career support perspective, I did not feel the university had sufficient resources. Career services are more geared towards on-campus students, than those online. You can book 1:1 meetings with the staff if you do need help though. I would like to see EWU work with the business community to find internships for their students. Currently, students are responsible for finding their own internships. I do understand EWU is meant to serve the Spokane area community. It would be difficult to find internships for students in other locations, like many of my fellow students were. But I would have considered moving to Spokane for a few months if I knew that I could complete an internship through the university. Overall, I thought the online MPA program was okay. I do think it is better for someone already in the field working and just looking to get the credits needed to take the CPA exam. But for someone needing more support and new to the field of study, I think additional resources are needed to improve the student experience.
