I got the spicy salmon roll and volcano roll for sushi and for appetizer the Thai dumplings and for the main dish: the chicken pad Thai. I thought the food was really good apart from the fact that chicken was a bit overcooked in my opinion. The Thai dumplings were really good and would recommend. Went here on a Thursday night around 7:00pm and wasn't too packed. The service was really good where they checked in on us once in a while to make sure everything was okay. They offer both à la carte and all you can eat/taste options and they always have promos for both dine-in and takeout; so make sure to ask them about it. The restaurant is nicely renovated and the staff are friendly and helpful. Their menu includes maki rolls, sushi rolls, handhelds, sashimi, bowls, teriyaki, appetizers, desserts, etc. They're all made of fresh ingredients. Just make sure to read the ingredients of each roll before ordering, they might be different from the usual recipes you've used to. For example, their Green Dragon includes eels. They literally serve the most delicious pad-Thai I have ever tasted; so I strongly recommend trying them. read more

Among its poke bowls, Salmon Bowl includes seaweed salad, crabmeat, edamame, shiitake, corn atop rice & arugulas salad. Perhaps not the best fish but add garnishes, dressings & avocado, and it's quite the hearty meal. Its burrito sushi is better. Had a reservation here for 6 people at 6pm on a Saturday. We were seated at a booth. Service was friendly and attentive. Big restaurant space and nicely decorated. Seems to be a popular restaurant as there was a wait for a table after we left. This was my first time at a restaurant that offered both Japanese and Thai food on the menu. Water took over 30 minutes to arrive (I ended up going to my car to grab my own), a few items we ordered never came without explanation and when I voiced my concerns, the manager he didn't seem to care... As good as it gets. This place has probably been my go-to place in the area for poké bowls and sushi burritos since 2017. I've been going here consistently since then and I never get tired of the food here. My go-to is definitely the build-your-own poké bowl - I usually get salmon with half brown rice and half spring mix veggies as the base. I like to mix it up and try the different sauces when I visit - I've recently visited here and the nice lady helping me out was super kind enough to recommend the sauce mixes she personally likes with her poké bowl and what other customers usually get with the different proteins - this was a nice gesture.. A+ customer service right there. Other than the poké bowls and sushi burritos (what I usually go here for), this place serves a variety of other things including sandwiches, pastas, salads, and unique drinks (bubble tea, smoothies, and other mixed beverages). I recently visited here and tried the mango coconut drink and I absolutely loved it. They have a ton of other drinks which I am for sure going to try in the future - from a quick glance of the drink menu, you'll see that the drinks (and the drink names) are super unique and not like what you see in other bubble tea places. This place follows good COVID protocols. There is hand sanitizer for customer use as soon as you enter, and food here is only for take-out (i.e. they have closed off the inside seating areas). I have never dined in, but I have gotten both takeout and delivery via Uber Eats many times from Corner by Spoon & Fork. They're my go-to restaurant whenever I'm craving poke in Mississauga. They are not stingy with ingredients and do offer substitutions when asked (I can't eat mushrooms, so I always asked to have them removed). Their Jasmine Milk Tea was good too, but they have sadly removed bubble teas from their menu. read more

Came here for all you can eat sushi, which was overall just an okay experience. The interior, however, is a very sleek and modern look with lots of space. As for the service and food, my group that I came with agreed that the taste of their sushi and dishes were very average. Service was pretty slow as well, had to wave a server over several times because we had to wait to get approval from a server every time we sent an order through the iPad and for times where my table needed refills on our drinks. Another con is they have a limit of 6 pieces of sashimi per order which is very little considering we came for the all you can eat experience and we love sashimi! Also was missing some orders but did not bother asking anymore since they had already brought out dessert. Price point is a bit high as well, for the food quality, and taste of their sushi. Came here for the first time last week because I found a place that has sashimi for their $20/pp lunch AYCE menu. I'm a huge sushi lover so I had to try this place out. I came on a Friday right after they opened at 12pm-ish. The place was busy but roomy and bright. I haven't been to this place before, but from other reviews I knew it offers poke, bubble tea, etc. It's an interesting layout and I saw a lot of people get takeout, but eyes on the prize - I was here for sushi. They had a lot of unique dishes on their lunch AYCE menu - escargot, satay beef/chicken skewers, japanese fried chicken (karaage), sashimi, etc. Most of the dishes I tried were top quality - the skewers were seasoned well and grilled to crispy perfection, the sashimi fresh and full of flavour, and the escargot buttery and smooth. For rolls, I had the green dragon, lobster, and tempura shrimp - all of them were great and the rice to fill ratio was perfect. As for dishes I didn't like, I found the karaage a bit dry and their salad game (mango salad, seaweed salad) weak. I would have really liked just a normal green salad to wash my palate between dishes, but the options they had were hard to pick from. I also didn't see dessert on the menu, and didn't order any, but just some basic ice cream would have been a huge plus. As for service, they were a bit brusque but still professional, which is not uncommon with AYCE sushi places - I personally don't mind, but I did notice they took a bit long for some dishes to come out. Since it was our first time there, we ordered 3 rounds of food because we wanted to try small portions and see what we liked - for our 3rd round, the food took noticeably longer to arrive. Not sure if it's because they were understaffed because of Covid (2 servers for ~10 ppl/5 tables) or if it was intentional. Ordering was done through the server, but since we had a slightly larger table (4 ppl?), the server gave us some paper+pen so we could write it down ourselves. All in all, I think I've found a new favourite sushi place, right in time for when dine-in at restaurants has been halted again in Mississauga. The service is passable, the price excellent for the variety and quality of food. I highly recommend the satay skewers and escargot. I'm in love with the sashimi, so I know where I'll be once the Covid dine-in ban lifts again. read more

First off, pristine and bright surroundings. Bare walls which unfortunately increases the decibel level but they have carpeting. The service standards are a cut above. The waitstaff here are knowledgeable and prepared. We decided to go with the poke bowls. We both had salmon sashimi, mine with immaculately cleaned spring greens, hubby had his on zucchini "noodles". Overall experience was very positive except for more sodium than we are used to. Next time, we'll customize our own bowls, substitute here and there. My first time here and I rate them 4.5/5. I'll round up because I am feeling nice! PARKING/VENUE: Lots of parking spots and the front appears to fill up fast during lunch time (the time I went with my baby and sister in-law). When you enter the place is actually really big. Lots of room for a stroller. We went around 12:30 and it doesn't seem too busy on a Thursday. SERVICE: Our server was actually the owner of the place. He seated us at a spot with lots of room for a stroller. He was really kind and attentive. PRICE/FOOD: In my opinion the prices were pretty fair and decent for the amount you get. My sister in-law got the rising sun burrito, she said she always gets this one and it's really good. I got the salmon poke bowl. It's my first time having a poke bowl and I was amazed by the appearance of it and the taste! I got the yuzu sesame dressing, it was perfect with all the ingredients together. The salmon was pretty good too, only a few were a bit stringy, but everything else was good. I finished the entire bowl with a couple bites of rice and corn left. LYCHEE PEARLS: in the bubble tea/boba I thought they were similar to the black pearls, but no they are not. They're the popping kinds, not my liking. It popped and it was just too sweet. I was excited and thought it was going to be just like the lychee jelly, but in spheric shape. OVERALL: I'm only giving them a 0.5 star less because of some of the lychee pearls and the few salmon that was stringy (absolutely don't like stringy salmon sashimi). A little birdie and cool friend, Anne, tipped me off that Corner by Spoon and Fork has bubble tea. To celebrate this new offering, the eatery decided to offer any bubble tea for $2.50 this weekend. Bubble tea at a cheap price? I'm there! Although I do love bubble tea at a great price, I have flagged coming here for a while. It is perhaps a ten-minute drive from my workplace. I had also never had a sushi burrito in my life. After seeing Anne's gorgeous photos, I cleaned up the drool going down the corner of my mouth and down my face, and headed over on a Saturday afternoon. I have been to Spoon and Fork when it was on Eglinton Avenue East, roughly five minutes away from my workplace. It has since closed down. I'm thrilled that I can come here instead. Corner has far more food offerings, but works a bit differently. There was plenty of parking in the plaza. I parked on a rainy day and walked in. I like going to a restaurant where I don't know what to do. Staff here were kind to guide me to the order area at the back of the place. The concept is to place your order, pay, and then get your food. It's a bit misleading to see bubble tea, ice cream waffle, and sushi menus staring at you when you first walk in. I ordered the watermelon tea. I don't normally see it on a bubble tea menu, so I had to. I got it with lychee tapioca. Again, lychee isn't all that common. I also ordered a lobster sushi burrito to go. I paid using a credit card. Easy peasy. The transaction went smoothly. The man suggested that I take a seat and he'd bring me my order. Nice! I took photos like the tourist that I can be. Even though I work in Mississauga, it was my first time here and there's always something new to discover in this city. I liked how clean the eatery's interior is. It felt cozy and the perfect weekend brunch place. Folks dining looked happy and relaxed. He brought my watermelon tea over. I looked at the tapioca. The lychee tapioca is really lychee jelly, which I prefer more. I have a higher tendency to choke on tapioca balls when I suck them back than jelly. Yes, it's from experience. Yay, jelly! I saw one of the skillful guys behind the sushi counter prepare my roll. It looked massive and the ingredients looked so fresh. Moments later, I got my sushi burrito carefully protected in a cute box, packaged nicely in a plastic bag. I had asked for soy sauce and got some in a tiny container. I thanked the man and happy left to head back to my car. I couldn't wait and had the watermelon tea as I drove home. It tasted like real watermelon that you have sliced and pulverized in a commercial blender. I got my drink with 25% sugar, which is rare for me. I'm glad that I did. It was perfect and so refreshing. The lychee jelly complemented the watermelon flavour so well. This drink would have been $6 plus $0.50 for the tapioca. I paid $3. Not shabby at all! I got home and had my first lobster sushi roll. I am a fan! The lobster was yummy. It's real lobster meat, y'all! I'm not sure where the southern came from just now. It seems fitting. Then again, my grad school was in Georgia and I got to learn the difference between y'all and all y'all, so I suppose that I can use y'all... haha! The lobster roll had arugula, cabbage, sweet peppers, corn, tobiko, avocado, and sweet chili orange dressing. I absolutely love corn and was so pleased that it had corn kernels. The ingredients tasted so fresh and bright. Arugula tends to have a peppery bite to it. I felt that it was overpowering the other flavours. Next time, I will ask to either hold the arugula or have it added sparingly. Otherwise, I am a fan of this sushi burrito. Credit for my tip to come here for cheap bubble tea yesterday goes to Anne. Without it, I would have delayed experiencing my first sushi burrito. I'm now addicted! I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Quick update. We hadn't been back for some time and recently went in for a visit. They're now a seated service so you don't order the food at the counter anymore. I think I preferred the casual "serve yourself" style. That being said, service was still good. Our order was forgotten but the waiter was quick to resolve that. I think the sushi tacos are still nice and very full and worth it. But the sushi was not rolled well at all. It was falling apart and not so appealing. For price point, I think it's reasonable. My boyfriend ordered the beef short rib. I did like the flavour on that one. It was very salty though, but mixed with rice, it was good. read more

For a limited time, all bubble tea is $2.5 and you can try any item on the menu under $20 for 5 bucks!!! STEAL They changed the set up a bit. No longer food court style where u go up and pick what u want. You have access to the menu at the door and can order for to-go, but you can also now dine in. Staff are super friendly and have great recommendations. Bubble tea is new on the menu from my last visit. Their poke bowl portions are huge!!! Still love the burritos and tacos. We've come here on more than one occasion now and were never disappointed this far. This is such great, delicious and cheaper than most sushi. Honestly, how do they afford it? I was hesitant to give a place a bad review, especially during pandemic times but my meal was repulsive. I enjoy eating at spoon and fork regularly and I placed an order through uber eats. I had tried their poke bowl once before and it was decent. I also decided to try their brown sugar pearl milk tea with my meal. The kimchi poke bowl contains beef, kimchi, corn, edamame, salsa and mandarin oranges. The first time I ordered I ordered the same poke bowl and it randomly had cabbage in it. So this time I specified no cabbage, kimchi, or salsa. You have your choice of white rice, brown rice or organic salad I chose white rice. You have your choice of 9 dressings or a no dressing option, I went with the spicy mayo. They allow you to remove garnishes such as tempura bits, tobiko, green onion, fried onion and dry seaweed. I opted out of all except the tempura bits. Extra protein and toppings is available for a small fee per item. As shown in the photos my pokebowl unfortunately came with random bits of fried onions and cabbage which I had said no to, as well as a mountain of green stuff which I believe is seaweed salad? I find it highly irresponsible for this restaurant to add items that aren't listed on the menu to your dish without asking. Thankfully I am not allergic but the taste of the added items ruined the dish and rendered it inedible. The pearl milk tea tastes strongly like black tea and not much else. There was the occasional hint of brown sugar from the pearls but the only reason it even had milk in it was due to the color of it. I prefer a more sweet version of bubble tea so I wasn't a fan of this one. Overall a very disappointing meal. read more

Amazing deal for a very decent dining experience! The food here is great. I was very skeptical when it came to ordering chirashi here but their fish is very well aged/fresh. Even at regular prices of $16 its worth it. It comes with EVERYTHING. Most notably for me, 2 PC scallop, sweet shrimp and hamachi! The mushrooms are a great touch too. The rice is well seasoned and they also sprinkle a layer of sushi rice seasoning between the rice and sashimi. Just order it. The crab and ribs special tastes as good as it looks too! read more

How is it that I had no knowledge about this place before????!? But thank goodness, I finally found 'THE' restaurant. The one that serves all of my favourite Thai food, Japanese food.... AND milk tea ALTOGETHER!!!!! And at a VERY VERY VERY reasonable price. From appetizer to main courses cost from $6-$20, unless of course you're ordering platters of sushi. They have Mihito Sushi Laboratory inside too, and it's a Casual dining. They have a perfect set up in the restaurant, and the servers and supervisor are superb++++++++ Hands down!! I love love love their thai dumplings with peanut sauce ($6 for 10pcs), their thai basil fish ($17) with rice already & their poké bowls (from $12-$16) Plus, I soooo love their Roosted Oolong Foam drink ($6 for a large sized drink) Would come back in a heartbeat. And yay that I don't need to go to Etobicoke for Spoon & Fork. But FYI: I tried the AYCE but I don't think that it's pretty worth it. I was able to fulfill my sushi craving at the same time as my Thai craving, and even found a gluten free cupcake to boot! I ordered two things via Uber Eats. The chicken satay is lovely. However, very disappointed in the cheese wonton. There was absolutely no mention on the menu that they contain crab, however they do! i am used to cheese wonton with only cheese and green onions, and I can't eat crab. I called the restaurant to confirm that indeed, they contained crab and expressed my disappointment. If I had been allergic to seafood (as it is imitation crab) I would have had a reaction. I told them that they should indicate on the menu that they are crab cheese wonton. They didn't seem the least bit interested in my disappointment. How sad has service become? I ordered the burrito and it was massive! It was massive not because it is packed with rice, but ingredients. The ONLY negative I can think of is the seaweed, as it is a little chewy, but it is impossible in Toronto to get really good ones while keeping the price down. I asked for a drink recommendation, and the server recommended a fruity green tea. It was really good and have a bunch of fresh fruit in it. Apparently you order first, pay, get your number and your food will be brought to you. My partner didn't know about it and she offered him a drink/soup combo for an additional $2.50 - which he declined. So I got us coffee and water. If only she was clear from the beginning instead of me walking around. The food was mediocre. My chicken penne pasta was not hot at all. So indeed I was disappointed. Few sun-dried tomatoes on top only. The portion was good for a lunch. My partner had tomato sauce pork chop which was hot and it looked good. He enjoyed it. Disclaimer: This review is strictly based on their Poke bowls. I had a strong craving for poke and with hesitation, I entered Corner by Spoon and Fork. Poke is not their focus and hence, I was doubtful. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the final product. I was a little overwhelmed by the customization/amount of options as I'm used to walking into a poke place and ordering their pre-decided creations. They have most toppings available including edamame beans, fish eggs, avocado, corn, ginger, shredded seaweed, etc. I was concerned about the salmon to rice ratio, since the guy only put one scoop of salmon in but that's the same everywhere. With careful rationing I had a good ratio. I definitely recommend adding seaweed salad, I think it makes such a difference! Came here to try out their famous sushi burritos and poke bowls! My sister and I both ordered the Rising Sun (she got the sushi burrito while I got the poke bowl). They were pretty okay - hers had a lot of salmon inside but mine lacked the amount she had. I wish I could have gotten more roe and seaweed salad though haha! Overall, a bit on the pricey side. Today after a few months my friend and I went out for lunch. We debated for quite a long time about where we should go before deciding on corner. The fact that it is by spoon and fork was the real attraction factor. The parking lot had plenty of parking spots and the location was great as it's located right off Dundas. From the outside it didn't look like much but it was huge inside. They had both booths and tables to choose from and they had a vast menu that included starters, salads, sandwiches, sushi, and meals along with poki bowls you could build yourself. My friend and I both tried the poki bowls where you were able to choose a carb (pad Thai noodles, basil rice, rice and quinoa) along with four different vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, edamame beans, mixed beans, corn, beets, sweet potato, and pumpkin) from there you could choose one protein for 9.99 or two for 10.99. I chose two because well, why not! It was only a dollar extra and meant I didn't need to cook dinner. I chose the general Tao chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. The girl behind the counter was really helpful and guided us through the process as there are two different counters where you can order from depending on what you choose to order. From there you take your food which if you choose to stay you get in a bowl or if your not a big eater like me then you ask for it in a to go dish. Anyways, you take your food to the decorating station where you can choose from sesame seeds to green onions, peanuts, chilli peppers, cashews, and parsley to name a few to top your food. I thought the food was good but not amazing. The general Taos chicken was very crispy which I have never had like that. The basil rice also didn't have much taste I was expecting a basil flavour but it tasted like regular rice which was fine but not expected. It was a cheap lunch with a nice atmosphere I would really like to try something else before recommending this place but it's definitely worth a try :) read more

Food was great and it came quickly. The mango salad was delicious and kept ordering that one. The custard buns and creme brûlée were amazing. The place is stylish and sleek inside. The only issue was the service; the waiters took food before it was finished and sometimes overfilling the water. read more

I am impressed. This is quite a nice place to dine in. It's spacious, clean, well ventilated, good staff, decent amount of tables, and reasonable prices. This is mostly a place where you order at the front and then they bring you the food at the table. Theres also high chairs for those with kids and since its spacious inside there is a some space for the stroller should you wish to bring it. So far I have only tried their pasta and dessert dishes, and all were decent and tasty plus the portions are generous, in my opinion. Oh, and their deluxe combo on a sizzling plate (steak, chicken and fries) is also good so I seriously recommend that. Will be coming back here soon for sure! So I tried this ...I'm not sure what to call it fusion place !!?? ...they have Poke Bowls and sushi burrito to sushi tacos to a Macedonian chicken wrap ?! And Poutine ! Weird ...... Anyways we came I had the sushi burrito and the wife tried the Macedonian chicken wrap .. It was ok nothing over the top nothing out of the extraordinary! The chicken wrap was kinda small and the sushi burrito was average sized . The sushi burrito was decent the chicken wrap lacked flavor. The place can be a little confusing to order if you've never been as we seen a few people trying to figure out what was going on . It's self serve and sort of modern . Interesting place I don't know if I would go back ..maybe only if one of my friends wanted to try it ! read more
