My niece works at Sport Chek in another city. She has used her employee discount at the Windsor store without being physically present in the past. A few days ago, she attempted to use her discount at the Windsor store, however, the store manager said she could not 'facetime' the store. He then went on to say that her use of the discount in the past without physically being available was a mistake made by his employees. So, he was not going to allow it happen again. This should've been the end of it. However, it was not. The store manager then proceeded to collect personal information regarding my niece. He used this information to call her district manager to complain about her conduct. My niece is a 17 year old high school student! Obviously, the manger thought she had taken advantage of his store, and he was going to make her pay for it one way or another. So this spiteful and vengeful behaviour was his solution! When I was in the store to explain my niece's situation, I was given the run around. When I called the manager later in the day and tried to explain her position, the manager was extremely defensive and similarly to my niece's experience, I was shocked by the specific information he knew about my life. For example, during the conversation, he referenced the specific faculty in which I received my degree in and then went on to mock it. Specifically, laughing and stating, "it means nothing to me." It appears to me, that when the store has made a mistake, instead of apologizing, they feel it necessary to do a quick 'google' search to gather information just in case they have to use it against you. The only words I can use for this experience are alarming, vengeful, disturbing and childish. Never shop there again. read more

Love coming here for all my athletic needs. They have a huge selection of merchandise ranging from attire, to tennis equipment, to camping. Whatever you need, chances are they carry it. My biggest and only complaint however is that customer service can be a little difficult to get. If you're shopping for shoes for example, I've noticed you're hard pressed to find someone in the section that you can ask for immediate help. Otherwise the place is golden. read more

Go here all the time for all kinds of athletic equipment. The staff is great but management is another story. Have signs saying things are on sale right over item I wanted to buy but my item wasn't part of sale. Another case sale was buy 3 get 1 free but sale wasn't in computer system so there was no sale. Spent 10 minutes arguing with manager through cashier cause they wouldn't come down and talk to me face to face. They made 3-4 calls to different sales reps before I finally got the sale price. But because sale wasn't in computer had to pay 1 cent for FREE item. I know it's only a cent but it's the principle of the issue. Overall will still go back but just a reminder to all MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SALE PRICE. It's easier now that they have the tablet readout facing you read more
