Made in America (which they noted on the tag) the top was black and had a shiny silver spotted pattern on the cowl area of the shirt. It was different! The pricing was inline with what I've paid for other pieces made in America, which I personally value and seek out when shopping. When I turned the corner in the back, a whole new area revealed itself. Several racks of wardrobe pieces that will all stand out in a crowd. I told my husband that some of them I saw myself wearing when I finally doubled down on my "fun and kooky art teacher vibe" but not everything is that bold. There were some very smart pieces, some more traditional silhouettes but in bold colors. There is also mid-century modern clothes that were retro but also in the here and now. I haven't intended on buying a bright pink party dress, but when I slipped it on in the fitting room I was thrilled - it fit like a glove. The dress was an XXL which I don't think I've ever worn, but knowing fashion sizing can sometimes be wonky I gave it a go. It had some frill, a front zipper that smartly hid itself (and thank goodness, a dress I can zip up for myself and I don't have to shimmy into), and the best part... POCKETS! REAL FUNCTIONAL POCKETS. One word...Paranoid. This was the most unwelcoming establishment I have ever stepped foot in, ever…read more I wanted to give this place a try despite the rough and cheap looking items displayed and the shabby look of the exterior. It all screamed cheap to me and I even hesitated to even enter at all. My husband refused to go in and told me to leave my wallet behind as he felt it wasn't a safe place to enter even. I finally decided to try it out by the off chance that I might discover some flat shoes. I took a few pictures of the exterior and a few of the interior. The petite brunette woman with her hair tied back tightly asked what I was doing from behind the counter and I told her that I am a Yelp reviewer and was taking photos for my review. She said she was scared and was wondering why I was taking photos was all. I asked if I wasn't allowed to review this place and she said that it was fine. I browsed around some at the flats looking for a pair of silver and gold flats, that I have been in search for months now. As I was browsing the shoe aisle, this same woman was on the phone watching me like a suspicious and paranoid hawk. She then told me with a stern tone, while she was on the phone that she was on the phone with her boss and was told that I am not allowed to take any photos of her store. I told her that's too bad since I had already taken some photos when she gave me the go ahead earlier. I took no further photos and abruptly walked out of the store. I was in my car and my husband said the same skeptical woman came by the door and was clearly watching us while still on the phone. He said we should leave the parking lot immediately as he felt she was about to come out and approach us in the car to accost us or admonish us further about taking photos after the fact. This same woman acted as if I was either from a competitor store or from ICE, I am none of the aforementioned. I felt their treatment was uncalled for, rude, discomforting, suspicious and shady beyond words. Their ill treatment of me was tantamount to chasing me out with a big stick. It is unpardonable for a retail store or any business of value to treat customers this horribly. What ghastly service. Come only if you feel like being berated and treated and viewed as a social pariah, otherwise, next! They clearly have trust issues since they have a sign on the door that clearly states that all bags are to be left in the front. I had no issue leaving a bag or not even bringing one in the first place. I left my bag in the car and took only my wallet. The owner and staff member ought to be ashamed of themselves. It's highly recommended and very clear that the staff and owner here need to work on their trust issues and take customer service 101.

I walked in and gasped, I had 5 dresses to try in 2 minutes. The first one I tried I fell in love with. The most beautiful dress I have EVER seen. I quickly found my second dress for the rehearsal which Rachel picked out. I would have never have tried it myself and I immediately felt beautiful in it. All of the staff worked so hard to make it a wonderful experience. I am 60 and my body is not what it use to be. I was so discouraged with the dresses on the market that made me feel dumpy or showed too much skin. The staff helped me feel wonderful and I have the right to look beautiful whatever your body is. I left with a new attitude of dressing thanks to them. The store is absolutely stunning. It is worth the effort. Carrying everything from Adidas to Reebok to Nike, Bob's classic Kicks, is on the forefront of the sneaker craze. Set in a lofty building with high ceilings, this store is open, airy, and hip. Open for nearly three years now Bob's has proven that Detroit, especially the Wayne State student body needs a store like this, locally. What I love about Bob's is just because they are the only sneaker store in this specific area, they remain knowledgeable. They truly want to be the best, and provide customers with an unbelievable experience that includes some serious, but friendly sneaker 101'ing.
