In the main courts area, there is a lounge with glass walls with views to six tennis courts (with no obstruction). If games are played in additonal courts outside the main area, live monitor viewing are provided. Although the monitor resolutions aren't the greatest (likely due to poor lighting), these matches can still be watched. We're not members of this tennis center but my son participated in one of their tennis tournaments. In comparison with the other tennis centers, Robbie Wagner is among one of the better centers.

I love the layouts of all the courts, easy to find, and walk through when checking out the open air courts. I love how they're redoing Arthur Ashe and can't wait to see the remodel. It is the main marquee arena for the annual US Open tennis tournament. Arthur Ashe stadium serves as an electric, massive stage during US Open Fan Week, hosting high-profile exhibitions, mixed doubles showcases, and Arthur Ashe Kids' Day rather than just standard qualifying matches. The energy under the lights during special evening events and exhibitions is massive and loud, offering a main-draw vibe at a fraction of the cost or even through specialized programming. Fans get close-up views of tennis legends, top-tier pros, and rising stars participating in events like the Mixed Doubles Championship and the Stars of the Open exhibition. It was a great experience to be in the stadium and to feel much talked about US Open fans week.

I use this facility to play pickleball. Most use it to play tennis. Note that I have been to this…read morefacility about 10 times as per the address but I know it as the Alley Pond Tennis Center and is operated by Common Point Queens. The facility doesn't have the best lighting in the world and in the winter it is not well heated. On one day when it was 7 degrees outside, the inside was only 46 degrees when I arrived around 9AM and went up to 49 an hour and a half later according to my thermometer. On a relatively warm day in the winter (around 55 outside) it got as high as 62 on the court. In addition to less than optimal temperatures and lighting, the courts are often dusty and dirty though management did surprise me recently by running a sweeping/vacuuming machine over the courts before a recent tournament which was helpful. Notwithstanding the aforementioned shortcomings, I have given it three stars as at least the management price court time lower than the nicer facilities like Pickleball Plus so this facility does serve a purpose and is conveniently located to a densely populated area. I'm glad it's around.
