I have to hold back my tears of joy here…read more Bad news first outside of Mack's....over the past month I was screwed 2x by 1) a local shop in Tampa FL (UBC) and then by Erik's bike online. (received charge backs from both from my Bank). Both UBC and Erick's took my $600 deposit (UBC) and 3K+ (Erik's).... yet neither merchant had the Specialized Roubaix SL8 I ordered and paid for in their inventory. After calls and calls to follow up on the status, both UBC and Erik's dodged/deflected/gaslit me. Why? I have inroads with the FTC. My theory is that both Erik's and UBC potentially used my payment (amongst other consumers) as interest free loans to boost/float their short-term capital/liquidity to pay off their creditors b/c of their razor thin margins. This is illegal per FTC's rules and regs. This made me sick to my stomach. Good news: Hit the batch - secured my Roubaix, it's now in my hands. THANK YOU MACK. Honesty and integrity - highly recommend. Hell of a bike can't wait to uplevel from my hybrid (14 mph on 20 mi ride to 16 mph) LFG!

I was able to secure the new teamdream and cannondale caad14 in a size 56 from Mack's cycle shop in Miami. Darien was a super sweetheart on the phone so no love lost there, so I put down my deposit and was called this morning to let me know the bike is no longer going to be sold, but rather it's going to be used as part of a fundraiser for "Best Buddies." Additionally, it's now listed as DOUBLE the price on their website. So it's really nuts to think that anyone in their good mind would pay $5k for an aluminum frameset. I think donating the proceeds is all good and well, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth to work with an authorized dealer who sold me a VERY limited product, only to take it back the next day. I've called all the shops listed for this bike around the country after that and they are sold out. I'm truly stunned by this behavior and I hope that whatever good intention y'all had is met with karma on your end.

When he called me to let me know the bikes were ready he said one bike was $75 and the other was $30. However, when I went to pick them up I was charged an additional service and wash $40 for one of the bicycles that wasn't mentioned ahead of time. The employee had even told me ahead of time that if it was more than $100 to just get a new bike. I would have preferred they were more transparent with the cost, as I asked several times. I thought the first employee was extremely nice and helpful, I wish I could recommend the place but I'm feeling a little off put by hidden costs.

Great selection of merchandise. I purchased a used stationary Smart bike I found on the internet. The seller left it at the shop for me to pick up. Ernesto had no financial gain from my visit but yet we talked and laughed. I'll definitely be back to purchase some gear. They had a great bike fitter and I could tell he knew what he was doing. They have almost everything and anything CANES…read more The store is not affiliated with the school but the location is right next to it and I must say it is in a perfect location to sell some gear. I came to find some baby Univ of Miami clothing to give as a newborn gift. My friend used to work for the University so I thought how perfect to give her baby a UM outfit. The kid section is all the way to the back and they have a selection of onesies, bibs, socks, pacifiers, blankets, outfits, all UM theme baby stuff. Aside from the baby section they have articles for adults, men and women, shirts, shorts, hats, cups, flags, key chains pretty much anything that they can put a UM logo on. The prices are kind of high. I noticed some basic UM Tshirts selling for $35. I've seen the same shirt at Target for $19.99 but they also sell items that you can't find in other retail stores and the convenience of being next to the school makes the prices hike up. The staff was eager to help me with my selection and the lady ringing me up offered a 10% additional discount for being an employee even though I didn't have my employee badge with me. Pro-Tip: they have a clearance section in the back with outfits discounted almost 50%. I love a good deal and I lucked out on finding two baby outfits in that section on sale! Decided to visit the store today and to my surprise it's a very small store tucked away in a strip mall behind Town Kitchen & Bar. That didn't stray me away. The store is packed with a sea of tennis racquets, apparel, shoes and other equipment to help your game. There's equipment for racquetball, squash and ping pong as well. You can even rent a ball machine! The owner, Steve is very knowledgeable and friendly. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he helped me find the perfect racquet. I am short, don't have much upper body strength but definitely have a good backhand. He showed me a few racquets and never once did he try the upsell me. I did not feel pressured into buying anything I did not want. I walked away very pleased with this purchase. Not only was I given excellent customer service but also competitive pricing.
