I went in to try and exchange a $30 bike lock that I never used. I brought the receipt expecting a simple exchange and instead was met with a young man with an Afro and a middle aged woman with black hair that told me they couldn't help because it did not have the cardboard backing with the barcode on it. They refused, saying no one would buy it and it was their management that told them this rule and refused to help. I could have gone to any big box store and would have received better service and care. Unfortunately, I will never come back here again even though I was looking to get a bike fitting and considering their services even though it's $250. I'm looking somewhere else!

They all, including the bike mechanic, need some training. I brought my bike in last week because it had a flat. First they said the service for both wheels & 2 tubes wouldn't be more than $120 - the service ended up being $200. The price is fine but why say $120 and then charge $200? I haven't had my bike for more than 2 years, I've never fallen on my bike, I take care of it like it's my child & on top of that, I barely ride it - when I picked up my bike the mechanic said "did you ever notice this dent on the rim?" No, I never noticed it because it wasn't there. THEY dented my rim - probably in the process of removing my tire. Now that's something else I need to fix. 2 days after picking up my bike - it's flat again (didn't even ride it btw). These people didn't properly put the tube. I called them to let them know that I'll be passing by so they can fix it - whoever answered the phone was extremely rude with an attitude. I ended up going to the doral location and it was fixed within 5 mins. But because of the horrible customer service from their gables location, I'll just be taking my bike elsewhere. Too many bike shops in Miami to be dealing with an incompetent one.

I purchased an item on Memorial Day after seeing targeted advertising. Soon after ordering, I…read morerealized the item would be shipped from much farther away than expected, so I immediately emailed the vendor asking to cancel. They told me the main office was closed for the holiday and that they would help resolve it. The next business day, I received an email saying the order was being prepared for shipment. I called right away and was told it was a "final sale" item, which was surprising because that was not clear to me from the advertising or checkout experience. I told them I was dissatisfied and wanted the order canceled before it shipped. They said there was a process to resolve the dispute, but later that same evening I received a UPS notification that the product had shipped anyway. Their later emails simply reaffirmed their position and claimed they tried to help, but it felt like a runaround. I contacted them quickly, before shipment, and still ended up with the order being pushed through. In my opinion, this was a poor customer experience and felt predatory. I would not purchase again unless their final-sale terms and cancellation policy were made much clearer upfront.

I came to find some baby Univ of Miami clothing to give as a newborn gift. My friend used to work for the University so I thought how perfect to give her baby a UM outfit. The kid section is all the way to the back and they have a selection of onesies, bibs, socks, pacifiers, blankets, outfits, all UM theme baby stuff. Aside from the baby section they have articles for adults, men and women, shirts, shorts, hats, cups, flags, key chains pretty much anything that they can put a UM logo on. The prices are kind of high. I noticed some basic UM Tshirts selling for $35. I've seen the same shirt at Target for $19.99 but they also sell items that you can't find in other retail stores and the convenience of being next to the school makes the prices hike up. The staff was eager to help me with my selection and the lady ringing me up offered a 10% additional discount for being an employee even though I didn't have my employee badge with me. Pro-Tip: they have a clearance section in the back with outfits discounted almost 50%. I love a good deal and I lucked out on finding two baby outfits in that section on sale! Look in this section first if in a budget. Parking is street parking on the side road.

Some things are comparable in price. I came here recently because I needed some boots for my kids for snow. I knew I could get some online but I wanted them to try it on. They have a nice selection of boots and I had them try some on. Ended up getting them each boots again the price was pretty even to the online selection. They also have all sorts of ski equipment as well as thermals and clothes. The service is also outstanding. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and someone was quickly there to help me select shoes. My only complaint was that they had a lot of sizes out of stock. But if they are it in Miami I get why they don't have a lot of stock.
