Was told by a salesperson person that to purchase a new in the box vortex scope, I had to purchase online. They did a switch and bait. When we order came it, it was just the used one they had had on display covered in dust in the opened box. The manager then wouldn't allow me to exchange it for another new unopened one, but told me I had to purchase a second online scope online and when the second one came in I could return the first one. I then retuned my original order at that time and the manager told me it would take 5-7 days for my account to be refunded. Terrible online ordering service. read more

The return policy is junk. I bought a $100 fishing pole for my daughter. The next day took her to use it fishing at the lake and the real/crank fell off due to a bolt not being tight and fell into the lake.... couldn't get back to return it as we don't live in a city with the store for about 45 days. I guess there return policy is 30 days. Which is ridiculous. They wouldn't evwn exchange it. Only used one time. Manager didnt care. I will never purchase from this store again.!!! read more

August 15, 2024 Customer service is horrible, and all the prices have gone up. I tried to purchase a firearm on sale. The item wouldn't ring up at the sale price in the store. The sale was listed on their website and the employees and manager couldn't figure out how to adjust the price in store. They told me to order it online to get the sale price even though it was in stock in the store. I paid online and had to return two weeks later after the background check cleared. August 29th, 2024 -- 6:00 PM When I went to pickup the item the employee took forever to find my order in the back. Once we went to the checkout to finalize my order for accessories she charged me a SECOND time for the firearm. I told her I already paid for the firearm. She never apologized for charging me $1,029 incorrectly. She looked confused; I asked, "shouldn't orders that are already paid for be tagged (ALREADY PAID) when they are set aside in the back inventory?" She said, "no, we have to run the order number in the computer and then credit the customer with a gift card". SPORTSMAN's Warehouse is a circus!!! I had to show her my online order number. After she adjusted my current order, the balance was still wrong ($100 too high). I told her she charged me the current non-sale price and subtracted the sale price that I had already paid. She finally fixed this. This has to be one of the most complicated purchases I ever had. Good thing I was paying close attention at the checkout counter or I would have been charged $1,029 for an item I already paid for or $100 extra for an item I already bought on sale. I won't be returning here for large purchases. And recommend everyone check out alternative stores in the area. read more

Need something outdoorsy... Best place in town to find it is at sportsmans. They've got great staff who are friendly, helpful, knowledgable and attentive. I've been in more than a few times, overwhelmed at the size of their store as I'm seeking a specific item (more often a gift). They quickly and efficiently show me the exact thing I'm searching for and give me info on the product as well. I love that they have a wide selection of firearms and ammo and rarely are out of stock of what's needed. Looking for a yeti to keep the beers cold? They have it. Sleeping bags and camping gear, done. Fishing lures, reels or rods, yup. Oh an archer are ye? They gotcha covered. Summary: Sportmans failed to deliver product or communicate after multiple opportunities to make it right. So I ordered a water bottle online. Says store pickup will be faster then simple home delivery so we choose that option. Delivery date comes around and they fail to notify us. So we call the next day twice. On hold 30 minutes, twice, employee fails to return both times. We call the next day. Employee says products original distributor doesnt have the product and so they have to find it at another place and ask us to call the next day for delivery details. We do so. Employee takes our number and says she'll call us later that day to give us new delivery information. No call. We wait a day. Called today, new employee says other one quit and new employee says they cant find the product so their gonna cancel our order. Because of the fiasco we ask how they're gonna make it right by us and employee says we can come in and pick an equal price bottle and nothing else. This is bullshit. We were very patient, offered Sportmans lots.of opportunities to make it right and they failed to do anything at all. This is garbage. read more

All employees are walking around the store chatting with each other and acting busy. I went in today looking for a red dot scope and cartridge laser to sight it in. I purchased a $250 Coleman Roadtrip grill last Saturday for the convenience of having something small to take camping or to the lakes and rivers. Since they didn't have any more in stock I bought the floor model that they had. I took it to the lake the next day as I was pulling it a wheel fell off causing it to tip over causing significant damage to the lid. I went back to the store the following day and the camping supervisor was no help at all. She said that I couldn't prove that the wheel fell off because of their installation which obviously if it was tight I shouldn't have fallen off. She even had the nerve to tell me that it was my responsibility to have gone threw it to make sure it was put together correctly which made me even more angry. If you buy something that's put together at a store you should asume it's put together correctly. Anyway she refused to exchange it or at the very least replace the damage parts. She gave me a $30 credit thinking it would make it okay but it doesn't when you spend that kind of money and the following day it gets damage it's infuriating. read more

This was the WORST place I've ever been in. I waited 10 minutes at the archery department trying to find someone. Finally a guy from the gun department came over apologized and called over the intercom or assistance . Another 15 minutes go by nobody ever shows. I left all 300 dollars worth of products on counter and will be buying them at the new field and stream that opened up. After that I walk over pick out a deer call. Walk up to the front check out counters and NOBODY was there 5 minutes go by and I drop the call at the counter and leave. Seriously if you have a business you need to tend to the customers. I've never felt as disrespected as I did while shopping at this store. I went in last week to buy a jacket for my daughter. After about 20 minutes of trying to find someone to help and other employees paging for some assistance in the department someone finally arrived. Coincidently it was the same short blond girl (who I later found out her name was kayla) that was over chatting with two other employees in another department. I asked her if they had a jacket my daughter liked in her size, with lots of attitude like I was wasting her time she said she would check. Rude, and incompetent. I generally haven't had to interact with the employees much as I know what I'm after and don't need much help. But the other day I had a bizarre experience. I was wandering around the store, killing some time before an appointment when I tripped/stumbled. I looked back and 2, long, 2" steel pipes were laying on the floor. I didn't fall and I didn't hurt myself. I am disabled and have bad balance, and use a service dog, but I was still embarrassed. I found an employee nearby and suggested they put some cones out or otherwise mark the hazard: someone else may get hurt. Common sense, right? Apparently not. The employee laughed at me. That was the sum total of his response. I thought I might tell someone with bit more brain activity and let the folks behind the customer service desk know. Blank stares are all my comment elicited. Are they Zombies? Millennials? I don't know, but hard to tell there was a heartbeat in the building besides myself and my dog at that point. So I thought wow, someone ought to know about this, or would certainly want to. I called the store manager (Cody) when I got home later that day. He had almost no response other than "we'll review our policy". That's it, no apology, no acceptance of responsibility, or even a simple acknowledgement of the basic issue at hand (or even the use of complete sentences), which is all I was looking for. I admit I lost my cool and cussed the manager out for having the personality of a frozen fish. My temper and dismay were only growing but I apologize to Cody. So I called their corporate office, and got in touch with a genuinely nice fellow, their West Coast manager, and he was completely appreciative of my feedback, and took it very seriously. He had reviewed the store camera tapes and saw exactly what had happened, and it was as I described it. He completely agreed there is a serious lack of basic safety awareness. He even said he'd have a 'generous gift certificate' waiting for me at the store as I had raised an important issue that he would be addressing at all their west coast stores. Wow, not what I was looking for, but very thoughtful and thorough. He said the store manager would be contacting me very soon. Okay, great, I thought. A week and a half later I had not heard from anyone, and called on a Friday to inquire of the store manager (Jason). He wasn't available so I waited until Monday and called again: he's not in until Tuesday. Here it is Tuesday evening and no one has called, or taken my call. I'm not going to bother with his any longer, and certainly not going to pursue some offer of 'free gear' at the loss of my dignity. I don't know how to understand such a complete lack of response, or inability to take responsibility. It's really such a simple, basic thing: you create a possible hazard in your store as a part of normal operations and business hours, so you put something up to make people aware of the hazard. Is that so foreign and abstract a concept that even a store manager can't address the issue? I wonder how safely they handled hanging those 20ft 2" metal pipes while open? Is the young generation in the workforce so poorly equipped to deal with people on a basic common sense level? Are we seeing the decline of higher brain functions due to the heavy use of technology, and therefore the loss of interpersonal interaction skills? I don't know, but I certainly will avoid this store as much as possible because I do know that you can't fix stupid. read more

I am absolutely appalled by the discrimination my husband and I just experienced at the Medford Oregon Sportsman's Warehouse. We have been living in Oregon for a year (I am actually from Oregon, lived out of state 2 years). I currently have a Missouri driver license, but my husband who is a fire fighter here has an Oregon license. I was unable to purchase a gun because of my Missouri license, which I understand. However, my husband went back looking for a different gun for himself, and the salesman walked up and simply, yet very rudely, said "Ain't gunna happen." His exact words. We were regulars at the store and have spent a great deal there, having recently racked up quite a bit of rewards, however we will never be back. I have been wanting to buy another handgun for quite sometime and read quite a few reviews that were positive for local gun shops and negative towards the big box retailers due to customer service and prices. I picked out 2 gun shops that I wanted to checkout, but both stores were closed on my 2 days off so I decided to go to Sportsman's Warehouse just to look at what they had. I was immediately greeted by JJ and he asked me what I wanted to see. I told him what I was looking for and he recommended a couple of different guns and let me check them out. We talked for awhile and he told me features and benefits of the 2 I was looking at. I decided to go home and think about which one I wanted and to read some reviews. I went back the next day and was greeted by JJ and Jim. JJ was helping another customer, but assured me I was in good hands w Jim. Jim was also a big fan of the gun that JJ recommended and I decided to purchase it from them. Jim showed me how to take it apart and clean it, showed me how to replace the fiber optic front site if it broke, recommended a holster, showed me how to wear both clips, holster the gun, draw the gun and how to put the holster together. Both of them told me if I had any questions or just needed some help, just to come back and see them. I highly recommend the Sportsman's Warehouse in Medford and can't say enough about the customer service I received from both JJ and Jim. I will be back to purchase my next gun from these guys too. Bought some Merrell shoes less than 2 months ago. I don't know if they were too narrow for my feet, or if there was a defect in the design (see below), but these shoes have caused too much pain in my left foot that I couldn't wear them anymore. Merrell's website states they warranty them for 60 days. I called Merrell and they said Dick's Sporting Goods also warranty's them for 60 days. Sportman's Warehouse said they only allow a 30 day warranty. I showed them a defect on the insole of the shoe, but the footwear manager said she didn't find any problem with the shoe. I probably spend about $1,000 in their store each year, but I will not spend another penny there. I may go see what items I'd like to buy, but then make the purchase online. This store will drive itself out of business. read more
