It's so cool to watch a seasoned pro perform their craft. Kerry took one look at my seat and new it wasn't right for the job. Took some measurements, got my seat and bars adjusted, accessed a handful of additional quirks that needed some love, and got me out the door the same day. This all made a huge difference in the feel of my ride and the comfort of my body, and I'm stoked to have such a great resource right around the block from my home. I brought my bicycle here when the derailer fell off and the brakes stopped working right. When I…read moredropped it off on Sunday afternoon around 1:30 they said it would be ready on Tuesday. I told them at the service department that the bike would not shift gears going up, that the shifter only worked right when downshifting. Imagine my surprise when they text me less than three hours later saying my bike is ready. It seemed OK, they asked me to ride it in the parking lot. It was 5:50, and they closed in ten minutes. The bike shifted OK for a couple of cycles up and down. As much as I was happy to get the bicycle back the same day, I was not happy after riding it several time and from gears five thru eight still trouble upshifting. I truly wish they had kept the bike until Tuesday, maybe the bike would shift properly. I did not need to get my bicycle back fast as much as I needed to get my bicycle back FIXED.

I didn't have time to shop today, was just here to return my gifts. No line at checkout and a smiling friendly Gracie greeted me. I did have a receipt, but all I really cared about was getting a store credit and coming back when I had more time to shop. Gracie was professional and did the return with no problems. This Big 5 on Ming Avenue has some of the friendliest staff in town. The discounted shoe section is big right now after the holidays. It's a reliable spot when im looking for sports cards or hot wheels. The only real downside is the pricing. When you compare it to the Big 5 on the east side, this location is noticeably higher on many items, so you trade a bit of extra cost for equal service and similar convenience. Ultimately, a 4 experience for higher prices for the exact same product than the East side location.

They'd fit strange, too tight around the ankle, too loose around the widest part of my foot. I'd fiddled and adjusted and just wasn't happy so I brought in a pair of boots that I'd bought months before and asked for a refund. There was no drama, no issue, no problem. 10 minutes later I had a new pair of shorts and $40 or $50 refunded to my credit card and I was back in the car. I love it when businesses treat their customers well.

They have two or three dressing rooms. The aisles in the store are a bit snug and they have their boxes of merchandise around the store so sometimes tou have to squeeze through to get around. They are a bit strict when it comes to trying on clothes because of people getting the clothes dirty which makes sense.
