This is my husband's to go spot before any fishing trip. He loves that they open at 6AM. They have everything you can think of and this store is so organized. When I went with my husband this past Saturday wow the store had a very neat and orderly layout. I was so impressed. The only thing i noticed which i even brought up to my husband is that the guys behind the register didn't greet us or the guy who came after us. What an amazing shop this is. I'm just starting to pick up fishing and I needed some guidance on getting started, they had so many options and fairly priced. Clothing options too from waders, shoes, boots and jackets, shirts, hats and sunglasses. Very impressive selection of fishing tackle. I needed to load up on long, rockfish jigs and big plastic. They had plenty and I was seriously surprised. I noticed an excellent selection of bass and trout stuff too. Pretty well rounded shop for sure. It is in kind of a non descript location and not super obvious, but it is worth going too. I have only been here a few times to purchase gift cards. I have walked around the over filled store, it is clear that they have a ton of options when it comes to their fishing supplies. One of the few times I had purchased a $35 gift card back in July for a friends birthday. He was embarrassed to let me know when he went to redeem the card, it had no funds on it. I spoke with one of the employees and since I paid cash there was no way to trace it... so I was out the money and a gift. Every time since then I make sure I get a receipt and pay with card. Other than that incident I have no complaints, they even updated their systems and had great deals on gift cards for the holiday season. I think I remember $100 dollar gift card for $80 and $50 dollar gift cards for $40. It was so good that my mother ended up getting one as well. read more

This is a sportsman / sportswoman shop....not a big box store. The guys working at Cope know fishing because they go fishing. I brought my grandson in to get his tackle refreshed, and staff were quite patient answering a bunch of questions. The tackle, rods and reels all seemed to be fairly priced. We walked out with a nice rod and reel for canal fishing and some lake fishing and some great advice as well as some catfish hooks. Service was stellar and it was cool that the two guys working knew so many of their customers by first name. We will be back for sure. read more
