The first time: I came home to an enclosed patio COVERED in little white raccoon handprints IN PAINT! Those suckers opened up a paint can and decided to play with it while I was gone one weekend....and once they knew how much fun it was to play in my patio I couldn't keep them away. So I called Urban Wildlife Trapping. On another occasion: I had a possum that decided to take up residency under my shed.... Which would have been fine if it didn't try to climb the dang thing every night- all I heard were those nails on the metal siding for HOURS..... so I had to make another call to Urban Wildlife Trapping... Then: There was ANOTHER family of raccoons.... And then a fox that identified as a house cat... and lastly another family of raccoons. I am not sure when my home became so welcoming but it may get to a point that I'll need to rent a room to one of the employees and Urban Wildlife Trapping so they cane save on gas money getting out to my place! Everyone here is so nice, very professional and well trained in trapping animals humanely and efficiently. Who knew that a one time google for animal trappers would lead me to a company that I would gladly use over and over. My review would not be complete without mentioning that the day Connor came out it was pouring rain and cold. He scouted my property, climbed up on the roof, and gave me the good news that things were not that bad, but needed addressing. He then started work IN THE RAIN to make sure we got a head start on sealing the entry points and making sure he left with traps set. There is a series of visits that the company makes to check the traps, and clean the area, I have a busy household and lots of dogs. It was comforting to know that I could book Connor to come every time and that my dogs got to know him. I…read morecontacted several Pest controls about a gopher infestation and Global was double the cost, but said they used gas which would eradicate the problem immediately. I explained the size of the property and Fernando (the owner) said he had googled my property and understood what had to be done. The cost was $1500-a lot, but worth it if they did what he promised. The first appointment they missed because their truck broke down. When they finally arrived there was only one employee (to cover 3/4 acres) who was overweight and not in the best of shape, although very affable. I expected a team to cover the area and eradicate the gophers at once so they would not migrate, not one man with one machine. According to my landscapers he ran out of gas and the process was terminated in a little over an hour. I saw there was still activity and called them and the same employee came but this time without his gas as the machine was "being serviced". He spent a little time putting pellets in the ground which would be activated by rainfall-in summer with no rain in sight. There was still a lot of activity (and the only area I was monitoring was the hillside where fresh landscaping was involved.) A gopher had actually chewed through one of the irrigation lines causing a leak and undermining the irrigation system. My landscaper repaired the line and I caller Global who sent the same employee-but only after a very angry phone call from my wife. The employee put gas in areas that I had to find and point out to him, which was a bit disturbing as he was supposed to be the expert and would have a better idea of what to look for then me. Within two days there was more activity, so I took pictures and sent them to Fernando (the owner) to which he responded "Thanks for the pictures!". I managed to get an appointment scheduled and the same tech was supposed to come out. I expressed to Fernando my displeasure with how it was being handled, saying for $1500 I expected several workers covering the area to ensure success, and mentioned that his employee told me that the warranty was usually 90 days, not the 30 days he told me. I told him 90 days would be a more appropriate warranty considering the extent of the problem and Fernando said no. I then asked the warranty begin from the previous servicing,( which Fernando actually had agreed to that day), and he said no, the warranty begins from the first day of service-which was a day they did not show up because their truck broke down. I told him he had agreed to the new date on the phone and he said, "I am done with you people", with over two weeks left on the warranty he had agreed to. He would not return my phone calls, and the gopher infestation is worse, not better, after having paid him $1500 and received in effective treatment from and ineffective technician. Fernando is a good talker on the phone and left me confident he would take care of the problem. The reality was just the opposite. Now at 71 years of age I will have to crawl up and down hills to place pellets, which I wanted to avoid so as to not endanger other animals in the environment. Global Rodent and Pest Services is a sham and to be avoided at all costs, especially considering their cost was double the quotes I received from other companies.
