Well, visiting Savannah on our very last day, we decided to get a casual breakfast and stumbled upon spread Bagelry. Let me tell you it took a while to find a parking spot because everything close to the restaurant was packed. There was a little wait to order. You're a cry a few people inside they look like they were waiting on their food. But we placed our order to go and began to wait. We ended up finding a seat after a little while of waiting again. It was very packed inside, which made me think that we made the right choice for our breakfast spot. I got the Carnegie breakfast with pastrami on a rosemary olive oil bagel. Let me tell you this is probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. That pastrami with the right balance of salty goodness and that rosemary olive oil bagel was to die for. So I originally said that we placed our order to go. It was about an hour before we got our order so we just decided to sit inside and eat our food. The manager was so nice to notice that we have waited for a while before we got our food and as we were leaving, he offered us some bagels to take home. I thought that was such a nice gesture. I will definitely come back to this restaurant it is so good!

Great bagels and a big selection of different types, sandwiches and spreads - or you can build your own. Pictured here are the pistachio honey and then the jalapeno. Fast service and also has some coffee options.

Casual ambiance. Quick service style, order at the counter and find a seat while it's made to order. Offers bagels, bagel sandwiches & coffee beverages. Ordered the pizza bagel on a Rosemary Olive oil bagel which is open faced and a grown up version of the bagel bites from childhood. Visited back when they were newly opened and enjoyed it and the experience has not changed. It's still delicious.

Stopped in while traveling and while it took a bit to get our bagels, they were PHENOMENAL. Very crispy, large and flavorful.

I LOVE the bagels here. They are super yummy and the best in Savannah! The menu is a tad pricey, but I feel like maybe that's the new normal. I always am surprised at the amount of cream cheese. It just feels like too much for one bagel. Almost like half of a stick you'd get at the grocery store. Makes it hard to grab and go cuz I always have to wipe so much off

I'm a huge bagel fan and this spot is perfect to satisfy your bagel cravings. Nice and spacious and super clean. Lots of varieties to choose from but they go quick. The young man at the register greeted us as soon as we walked in. I wasn't hungry on my visit so I ordered the dirty chai latte with oat milk. There is an upcharge of .75¢ for milk substitutions. My drink was delicious but tepid. Very lukewarm. My friend ordered the pizza on a rosemary and olive oil bagel. It looked and smelled amazing. I'll absolutely be back to try that out soon.

Spread Bagelry was a hit for our group and we can't wait to return! We ordered a Cure Sandwich on a plain bagel, as well as a standard on an everything. Both were mouth watering. Everything is made to order so it takes a couple of minutes, but well worth it. We enjoyed being able to sit inside and relax for a few minutes. The location is spectacular near so many shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

I almost never stop at the same place twice while on vacation, but I knew I needed to get Spread more than once. It was soo good and their vegan cream cheese was one of the best I've had in a really long time. It appears that they do a lot of carryout orders, but it's a very large space and has a lot of seating.

If you are a bagel lover Spread Bagelry is a must visit. The bagels are literally made right in front of you. The location of this Bagelry is 6 W State Street. It is located in between Bull and Whitaker Street. There is a CVS on the corner of Bull turn to the right and look up to see the sign. It's next to Mint to be Mojito. The sign is small and blends in if you are not looking for it. There is currently construction going on across the street at the courthouse. So heads up parking on that square can be difficult. Once indoors you will see an open kitchen, coffee, and oven area. There are two small bars for seating with bar stools, tables and chairs, and one long table with bar stools. The menu has much to choose from! I decided to go with the classic my first time and was not disappointed. It is your choice of smoked nova salmon or whitefish salad with cream cheese, tomato, onion, & capers. This all comes on your bagel of choice. I chose an everything bagel with whitefish salad and no cream cheese. I also got an iced dirty chai latte with oat milk. They have a variety of coffee beverages to choose from. My husband got the Philly special bagel. It comes with: brisket, truffled mushroom, grilled red onions, spinach, and Cooper sharp cheese. He also added an egg. He got their orange blossom and cinnamon latte hot with oat milk. The service was excellent. You place your order at the counter. We did not have any questions. The menu does a good job of explaining. When your order is ready your name is called and you pick up at the counter. Our order came out swiftly. My husband noticed his egg was not on his bagel. They apologized and quickly fixed it. We were there around 10 on Sunday and found seating. But depending on time of day the seating fills up. The bagels were in a word YUM! We both agreed. I will definitely be back to try more. The whitefish salad which is hard to find here in Savannah was delicious. I cannot wait to try their salted egg bagel. Both of our coffees were ok. They are what I would skip upon return here. The chai flavor was lacking in my dirty chai along with enough espresso for me unfortunately. My husband agreed his latte tasted more like orange blossom and he could barely taste cinnamon. I gave it a few sips myself and I have to agree. But what is not my cup of tea may be someone else's. I will grab juice or some of the self serve water instead next time. Because I will be back! Go grab yourself some bagels!

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.

Foxy Loxy delivers a phenomenal coffee shop experience. Not only is the coffee top-notch (and for 9 out of 10 people, it will be some of the best coffee they have all year), but in the interest of full transparency for my fellow coffee nerds, if you're the type of person who judges extraction ratios, roast profiles, and espresso technique above all else, you may also want to check out Franklin's or Origin Coffee while you're in Savannah. I say that not as criticism of Foxy Loxy, because I absolutely love this place and visit regularly, but as someone who considers himself a true coffee-shop enthusiast, I think it's only fair to give fellow coffee lovers the complete picture. For me, Foxy Loxy wins because it combines very good coffee with an outstanding atmosphere, making it one of the most enjoyable coffee shop experiences in the city. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope to find in a cool downtown coffee shop. Whether you're working inside, grabbing a seat upstairs on the second level, or hanging out in the back courtyard (my personal favorite spot), Foxy Loxy has you covered. There's plenty of seating, great food and drink options (their tacos and chips and queso are amazing), and an outdoor patio that offers tons of shade from both umbrellas and mature trees. They even have a really cool water feature and regularly host wine nights and campfire events that make the place feel more like a community gathering spot than just a coffee shop. This is truly one of Savannah's gems and absolutely worth a visit. On the coffee side, one of my personal favorites is a cortado with horchata. That said, I've yet to find a bad choice on the menu. No matter what you order, you're probably going to leave happy. Pro tip: If you're spending some time there and want to explore afterward, head out the front door, take a left, and keep walking until you reach Forsyth Park, one of Savannah's most iconic destinations. If you found this review helpful, give it a like. I hope you enjoy Foxy Loxy as much as I do.

Beware- the tacos and burritos are packed with lots of yummy ingredients so you will not leave Foxy Loxy hungry. The cute environment offers so many seating options in its multi-level spaces indoors and outside in their amazing courtyard. Service was excellent as the staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Parking isn't a challenge if you opt to park across the street where you can park for FREE for 1 1/2 hours. Alright, fellow Yelpers, here are my thoughts on Gallery Espresso…read more I'll be honest, this is one of the harder coffee shop reviews for me to write because I'm a little torn. Do I think Gallery Espresso has the absolute best coffee in Savannah? No. Do I think it has my favorite atmosphere in Savannah? Also no. Personally, I tend to gravitate toward coffee shops with a slightly more modern feel, while Gallery Espresso leans more toward a classic, eclectic, and somewhat antique-inspired vibe. That said, I think judging a coffee shop solely on where it ranks in one category misses the point. If you're looking for a place to spend an entire afternoon working, reading, studying, meeting a friend, or simply relaxing, Gallery Espresso is one of the most reliable spots in Savannah. It has plenty of seating, mostly dependable Wi-Fi (though full transparency, it can occasionally get a little spotty), air conditioning, good food, solid drinks, and a comfortable environment where nobody seems to mind if you settle in for a few hours and get things done. In fact, despite there being a few coffee shops in Savannah that I would rank higher in specific categories, Gallery Espresso is probably the coffee shop I visit more than any other in the city. Why? Consistency. Every time I walk in, I know exactly what I'm getting. The service is dependable, the environment is comfortable, and it's simply an easy place to be productive. I'm personally a fan of their chai tea lattes, and their bagels are always a solid choice. You really can't go wrong stopping in here whether you're a local looking for a regular workspace or a visitor needing a comfortable place to recharge. I tend to be pretty critical in my reviews, so if anyone from Gallery Espresso happens to read this, I promise this isn't a criticism. There are a few places in Savannah that I think do certain things better. Some have more memorable coffee. Some have a more unique atmosphere. But very few places deliver the level of consistency that Gallery Espresso does day after day, and that's exactly why I find myself returning more often than almost anywhere else. For me, that's worth 4 out of 5 stars. I'm giving it four stars because while there are a few places in Savannah that I think function better as dedicated coffee shops, Gallery Espresso does an excellent job balancing good coffee with comfortable seating, food options, a productive atmosphere, and the ability to spend hours there without feeling rushed. When you take all of those factors together, it's one of the strongest all-around coffee shop experiences in the city. And sometimes, that's exactly what makes a great coffee shop.

I wanted to love Gallery Espresso. The location is perfect and the sidewalk seating is very cute…read more There are a lot of pros and cons with this one. Pros - The honey biscuit was SO good. Major points for serving actual iced coffee instead of cold brew. The iced coffee was incredible. Very strong. I normally drink red eyes and half a cup of this stuff will have you ready to run the city. Lots of teas if you're a tea drinker. Cons - The inside is giving what can best be described as hipster cat lady energy. It just felt a little dirty and chaotic. Some people probably find it 'eclectic". Skip the bagels. They weren't...awful... but coming from the Northeast, we're probably impossible to impress in the bagel department.
