I came here for a quick breakfast and was really impressed with the food! The bagel sandwich was delicious--fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. The eggs were fluffy, and the bagel had that perfect chew. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything was made to order. The iced coffee also hit the spot! However, I have to mention a concern about cleanliness. The sauce bottle available for customer use didn't seem properly sanitized--it was sticky and looked like it hadn't been wiped down in a while. In a food service environment, especially one that clearly takes pride in its food, basic hygiene should be just as much of a priority. Great spot overall, but I'd feel better knowing all shared items are kept clean. Hope this gets addressed! read more

Going with a 3-star rating for Spread, simply because the bagels were decent. My friend described it as "the kind of friend who always looks amazing in photos but shows up late to brunch and always forgets your drink order" Their bagels are decent enough, but nothing that really stands out or justifies the pricing aside from it being located in the bougie Bryn Mawr Village. The place was clean, our bagel sandwiches edible, and the coffee/tea hot. All in all, nothing memorable and most likely not anyplace to add to the rotation or worthy for repeat visits. read more

Super convenient bagel shop in the heart of the promenade! Pretty vast menu and they even do bagel sandwiches than just spreads. So many bagels to choose from and a lot of seating. Food was ready pretty quickly and it was an awesome bagel! Def recommend. read more

Super friendly employees ! And service was fast! I ordered The Standard -everything bagel, egg white, no cheese add sausage. Very good breakfast sandwich! Usually everything bagels only have the seasoning on the top but this bagel was covered with seasoning which I love ! I also ordered a cappuccino and it was perfect super tasty and had almond milk which is a huge plus. A little pricey but the bagels are very good and worth it. They have outlets around the small tables, perfect spot to work from and they have free WiFi. Everything is very clean and welcoming vibe. Parking - since it's in the shopping center parking might be hard but it's okay not a far walk. read more

Came her on a Sunday for brunch with my dad, daughter and granddaughter. They cook their bagels in a wood fired oven. My granddaughter is gf so she ordered a gf plain bagel with tuna fish salad. My daughter said it tasted and looked too good to be gf. My daughter ordered an open-faced tuna melt and my dad ordered bagel with cream cheese and tomato. I ordered egg whites with lettuce and tomato. Everything was super tasty and fresh. All employees were super friendly too. Cute little place to grab breakfast or lunch. read more

Here's the thing. I really like the bagels. And the cream cheese. And the jam. I get a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese and strawberry jam. The problem is this location doesn't have the best staff. They ALWAYS forget the red onions on my wife's bagel. This morning the cashier left the register to have a conversation with someone. And they messed up my order. They are easily distracted so check your order. That being said, it's still a great bagel. read more

Finally got a chance to get a bagel this morning. I was very excited to see that this place was opening. They provide fresh wood fired Montreal bagels. They also have a variety of bagel sandwiches and coffee. I kept it simple on my first visit with an everything bagel and veggie cream cheese along with an egg bagel with regular cream cheese. The bagel was perfect in my opinion. I love that fresh bagel chewiness that not all bagels have. The everything bagel was a nice blend of seasoning and it didn't just fall off. The veggie cream cheese rocked. I will definitely try more of their options. So glad to have this place nearby. Apologies for not getting a picture of the everything bagel. I have a theory that all bagel shop workers are not happy. I never been to a bagel shop where employees are happy to be taking your order and spread bagelry didn't disappoint. We came here for quick bite to eat and the cashier wasn't the nicest. We got our bagels about 10 minutes since we ordered which isn't bad at all. The bagel isn't anything special but the inside of the establishment is pretty neat with open space concept with the wood burning fire oven for the bagels. read more

Spread is located in the recently built Promenade at Upper Dublin off of Welsh Road. The interior space feels like a coal fired pizza place, but they sell bagles. I have tried Spread two times and sampled two of their breakfast sandwiches. One sandwich was good ( the cure) and the other (carnegie breakfast),not so much. On the latter sandwich, I tried their garlic bagel, and the majority of the garlic was burnt. I don't mind paying $11 for a sandwich, but these were not up to par. read more

I've been to Spread several times now, for both breakfast and lunch. The food itself tastes great, and the coffee is also quite good. The reason for 4 stars is that the sandwiches are always extremely sloppy and difficult to eat; and they do not actually cut them the whole way. My friend has limited use of one hand and even after asking multiple times (on different occasions) to have their bagel cut, they never seem to be able to cut the sandwich the whole way through. Today, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and had to eat it with a fork because it just fell apart immediately, lol. (Again, it wasn't cut the whole way which resulted in a mess) So, come here expecting to possibly get a bit messy, but the food is great and the service is also very nice. read more

Looks like bagels are baked in a wood fired oven. They were very good. They were fresh and tasted good. I ordered a sesame bagel with their veggie spread. Also tasty. The cream cheese was orange colored but I'm guessing that was their recipe. The counter service is great. I will be back for another sandwich soon. read more

I really really want this place to do well. The first time I walked in, it was around lunch time. No other customer around despite the promenade being packed. I wanted to check out pricing but things seem to be expensive. $2.25 for a bagel or $4.50 for a bagel with cream cheese. I got 2 bagels and they were ok. Nothing to write home about. I figure they may have sat around since morning. So I went back another day in the morning. Got one bagel with cream cheese and one without, toasted for $7.00+. Again, no other customer in sight although the Starbucks line was completely full. I was excited to try them fresh, but no, they tasted stale and like a bagel that I could have heated up at home. We have had bagels from Spread in Philly, which tasted much better. The whole thing is that the bagel is toasted in a wood burning oven so it has a nice toasty taste to it. Bummers. read more

The bagels are delicious but unfortunately this is the second time there was a mistake in my to go order. The first time I was able to open the bag and check my order to realize half of my order was missing. This time, I had to run in and out real quick and I didn't get to check. I ordered 6 bagels and the $5.50 cream cheese I ordered was missing. Granted, the cream cheese listing was in an odd place on the to go slip, but maybe that is a suggestion for their online ordering system. Maybe to bold side items or place them separately. This was frustrating because the place I was taking the bagels to specifically asked for me to pick up cream cheese. Montreal style wood fired bagels - thicker bottom that is flour coated and crispy. A bit more expensive than a standard bagel but worth it. They have many flavors but less than many other bagel shops (they should come up with more). Breakfast sandwiches are a bit pricey ($10 and up for most) but the frittata scramble with Amish jam is excellent. New and clean inside. Limited parking in front. read more

Just ordered two breakfast sandwiches - the first one (Carnegie) wasn't on the right bagel and didn't have cheese. The second bagel was supposed to be egg and cheese - it wasn't on the right bagel, had spinach, mushrooms, egg, and bacon, with no cheese - and was for a vegetarian. Beyond the order being completely wrong, the eggs tasted microwaved or dry like they sat out an hour in a bin before being put on the bagels. The pastrami tasted the same way. The sea salt caramel latte might be the first coffee drink I don't finish. Regretting the decision to also purchase a half dozen bagels and cream cheese. Ordered online so can't say much about service or ambiance...they were nice when I picked up my order and the place looked clean and cute. As for the food...first off my partner ordered a toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and bacon and they forgot the bacon despite us paying extra for the bacon, I ordered a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and my bagel was almost burnt it was toasted so darkly...I also ordered a toasted blueberry lemon bagel with butter because I love blueberries and lemons and that bagel was disappointing since it didn't taste like blueberry or lemon or anything really, it mostly tasted like a plain bagel. Giving them a 2 since my partner said his sesame bagel and cream cheese was okay even if they did forget his bacon. Overall I'm very disappointed in this place I've had better bagels from the grocery store that cost only a fraction of the price. read more

This place almost seems to be TRYING to be bad. Parking is annoying but that's not their fault. But the service is slow, patronizing and awkward. No one welcomes you when you walk in or asks you for your order. Coffee is luke warm and they somehow burned my bagel. 1 extra star awarded for the bagels, which, when not burnt, are delicious. read more
