Super convenient bagel shop in the heart of the promenade! Pretty vast menu and they even do bagel sandwiches than just spreads. So many bagels to choose from and a lot of seating. Food was ready pretty quickly and it was an awesome bagel! Def recommend.

The Standard and added sausage and no cheese

Super friendly employees ! And service was fast! I ordered The Standard -everything bagel, egg white, no cheese add sausage. Very good breakfast sandwich! Usually everything bagels only have the seasoning on the top but this bagel was covered with seasoning which I love ! I also ordered a cappuccino and it was perfect super tasty and had almond milk which is a huge plus. A little pricey but the bagels are very good and worth it. They have outlets around the small tables, perfect spot to work from and they have free WiFi. Everything is very clean and welcoming vibe. Parking - since it's in the shopping center parking might be hard but it's okay not a far walk.

Finally got a chance to get a bagel this morning. I was very excited to see that this place was opening. They provide fresh wood fired Montreal bagels. They also have a variety of bagel sandwiches and coffee. I kept it simple on my first visit with an everything bagel and veggie cream cheese along with an egg bagel with regular cream cheese. The bagel was perfect in my opinion. I love that fresh bagel chewiness that not all bagels have. The everything bagel was a nice blend of seasoning and it didn't just fall off. The veggie cream cheese rocked. I will definitely try more of their options. So glad to have this place nearby. Apologies for not getting a picture of the everything bagel. I was hungry and it was too good.

Spread is located in the recently built Promenade at Upper Dublin off of Welsh Road. The interior space feels like a coal fired pizza place, but they sell bagles. I have tried Spread two times and sampled two of their breakfast sandwiches. One sandwich was good ( the cure) and the other (carnegie breakfast),not so much. On the latter sandwich, I tried their garlic bagel, and the majority of the garlic was burnt. I don't mind paying $11 for a sandwich, but these were not up to par.

Looks like bagels are baked in a wood fired oven. They were very good. They were fresh and tasted good. I ordered a sesame bagel with their veggie spread. Also tasty. The cream cheese was orange colored but I'm guessing that was their recipe. The counter service is great. I will be back for another sandwich soon.

The woman who took my order told me all about them and asked if I wanted to add one to my order. I told her no, but I would definitely be ordering one to go. With that said, here is our experience. My pastrami sandwich was very good. The rye bread was good, but the crust was very hard and I could not bite throught it. My mom did not care for her corned beef sandwich and said the meat had a decent flavor, but was cut too thick. She also could not bite the bread's crust. Our latkes were tasty and you can't go wrong with Dr. Brown's cherry soda! Now, the disappointing part. I ordered take-out, one small chicken matzah ball soup and one potato knish. I ordered with the same woman who raved about their kinish and guess what, she forgot to include the kinish in my bag. She brought the take-out bag to our table and assured me everything was there. I asked if the kinish was there, to which she said, "yes, as is the soup". Drove home over 30 minutes and no kinish. When I called them, the woman who took my order and packed the bag said, "Oh". Yes, she credited my card, but still....I was so looking forward to that kinish. If you're used to NYC deli, this is not it, but it is decent.

I had sides on my order as I ordered online and they were on receipt but not in bag. Bread on so- called "South Philly pork" hoagie was drenched in oil and mayo which were 2 of the sides I requested(I went back in after checking bag in car for them). Potato salad had uncooked potatoes mostly and no seasoning recognizable to taste and hard as my head. I threw out. Will definitely not recommend this location to anyone. Hardly any oregano and there was no blk pepper as online description described included for this hoagie(Nellie) The young lady handing out pick up orders seemed confused and hurried but was very pleasant and accommodating once I returned for my sides. We were seated and our server, Joanne gave us a quick rundown on the menu. She was very attentive and personable. Our party of four ordered the pork sandwich, the shrimp BLT, deviled eggs, the pepperoni flat bread, the meatball skillet, shrimp cocktail and French onion soup. The sandwiches were excellent and were served with perfectly cooked shoestring fries. The soup was great - plenty of cheese & bread topping delicious broth & caramelized onions. Joanne was correct when she told us the shrimp cocktail was "elevated". The grilled shrimp were marinated and perfectly seasoned. The flatbread was good, topped with a drizzle of hot honey. The deviled eggs were yummy but I would rather the bacon on top didn't have a maple flavor to it. The meatball skillet was served with toasted bread slices, hearty marinara and dollops of ricotta. The meatballs were a little dry but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely plan on coming back to The Fort to try new items and for another pork sandwich. Great spot!
