This is local brand of peanut butter and jelly and jams.. probably not very affordable to some of us but their products have no added sugar and you know what the ingredients are. Most peanut butter are bathing into oils and grease but sprelly is not which makes it more appealing to me.. I used to love their butterscotch peanut butter when it was sold at farmers markets. It was fresh and so good. But recently I ordered it and it shipped in cute little glass jars but it was really dry, not nearly as fresh, and not nearly as good anymore. I have been trying to get by here the last few times we have been in Fredericksburg. I have a peanut butter lover in my family who had an egg and almond allergy so we had to pass until now as she has outgrown it. We got the white chocolate almond to take home with us. I ordered the girls white chocolate almond butter on toasted white bread and Cinnamon French toast and Strawberry Jam. They LOVED them, even after eating PBJ sandwiches all week on a mission trip in the Appalachian Mountains. Thanks for putting such huge smiles on their faces after such a busy tiring week. I fell in love with Sprelly products (Breakfast Blend is my favorite) when I ran into them at the Manassas Farmer's market last summer. OMG. It is DELICIOUS. They only open a stand from time to time (locations and dates are announced on their Instagram). My last trip was unsuccessful, as another Sprelly fan showed up and bought up their stock. Imagine my surprise when I randomly found their shop in Fredericksburg. I will not lie--I screamed a little bit. The gentlemen running the store were lovely. Welp, I'm going to be the odd man out here, I thought Sprellys was just okay. First it's odd that you order and pay at the register before getting your food. What if I decide to get more? It also asks for a tip, which feels funny to give before getting food. The prices were quite a bit more than I was expecting, especially given the lack of sides, and the cheap paper plate the crepe came on. Not sure why I have a fascination with this place. It's just gourmet peanut butter. Everyone loves it so it must be that amazing. Well, it is indeed good. But it's not something I'd crave or want to buy over and over because plain grocery store peanut butter would do the job for me and hubby. Love the idea of the savory sandwiches but not sure if I'd come back here to try one. Hubby and I shared an apple crepe dessert after lunch at Eileen's. It was a delicious crepe. The edges were crispy - my favorite part. The apple was yummy. Hubby said he would have probably preferred it without peanut butter probably because he has such a sweet tooth. Yes, it's served on paper.....wax paper, I think. Would really prefer a plate underneath the paper? They have a pick up window on the side of the building, way cool! I would probably buy their peanut butter as gifts for others. We've been to this location when it used to be a sandwich place and didn't enjoy eating at the counter. My supervisor first told me about Sprelly a couple months ago and raved about them but I never got to taste their stuff until I saw them at the Rites of Spring Festival. They were giving out samples and I ended up buying the Sweet Thai Chili and Breakfast Blend peanut butter. Their peanut butters are so unbelievably good--at first I was just eating out of the container with a spoon because that's what my soul felt was right at the time. We stopped in the shop about a week ago (which used to be the old fudge place) in downtown. I got the classic crepe with their honey roasted pb and strawberry champagne jelly. Husband got the Cuban sandwich something which he raced about. This could be a really good spot for vegans or vegetarians. Their crepes were delicious, I mean really it's the pb and js that make it. My 4 stars are because of the deliciousness, but I was somewhat weary about my crepe being eaten flat on the counter with the serving paper underneath. I dunno how I feel about that yet--it was different but I didn't think too much about it when I was eating. But I can see more uptight people turning away from the food because of it. Coming from a customer service and waitress background, I do recommend they engage more with customers, especially when they're seated in such close proximity. And last year while in Fredericksburg meeting friends for lunch I came across their store and met the owner, Adrian who was super nice. So it's now 5 days before Xmas and I decided to get some Sprelly for my nephews so they could have the best PB$Js. I was concerned if I ordered online it wouldn't arrive on time so I sent a message through their website asking if they still had the storefront in Fredericksburg. Adrian responded quickly and mentioned they were running low on some of the flavors, asked me what I wanted and offered to put them aside for me. Today I drove to F'burg and when I got to the store I had just missed him. But he had left my 4 jars packed in cute little Xmas bags, The woman working told me Adrian had gone into the store today just to drop off my order. Who doesn't love peanut butter and jelly? We first got introduced to Sprelly by buying their products at local farmers markets years ago. We were very excited when Adrian told us they were attempting to open a restaurant. When the time came, we showed up opening day and haven't stopped coming back. Their sandwiches and the combinations they come up with are great. The peppered rooster is my absolute favorite. Just thinking of it makes me want to go get one. We have eaten the whole menu and love it all! They even sell their peanut butters on site, so we always stock up. I've been buying Sprelly products at local farmer's markets for awhile and love them. We've been to Late Night Crepe Night and loved that too. We finally decided to stop in for lunch one afternoon and walked into an empty counter. Score! There was one gentleman waiting for a sandwich so we sat and waited. And waited. And waited. There was a young blonde working that day and she never even made eye contact with us. Didnt acknowledge we were even there. So we waited some more. 15 minutes went by and never even a "I'll be with you in one minute!" Nothing. So we got up and walked out. I bet I would love the food, as I already know I love their peanut butter. But unfortunately the customer service really turned me off to trying again. read more

I took my pb&j loving 9 year old daughter here and of course, she loved it. Their menu is unique and traditional at the same time. She loved it and the adults enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Touring and wanted to eat local and heard "peanut butter". I knew where i was going to eat. The inside feels like an organic food store and it kind of turned me off. I got a "Hound Dog", pb, banana, honey, and bacon. Gonna eat there every time i visit. Neat, friendly, self-made, got some nifty souvenir racks and a small wine selection in the back. All of the sides are healthy, all of the drinks are healthy, but not too many choices. The selection of sandwiches and crepes was also fairly limited, but the peanut butter variety and quality was out of this world. Have never actually tried the product. Was excited to see a booth at the farmers market last Saturday. Unlike the other vendors, the person at the booth was seated, on her cell phone and didn't offer a greeting or a sample, nothing. I didn't see anyone buying from the booth. We bought some bread from the bread guy right next door, he was up friendly and selling! I enjoy your food and have tried to eat at your store location on numerous occasions. I always check to make sure your website and Yelp say you're open before I make the 40-minute round trip drive and 6 out of 7 times you have been closed, despite the hours on your website saying you are open. It's disappointing to go from "yay! Sprelly crepes and pb!" to "....they failed to communicate their hours - again!! And now the other crepe place is closed too!!!" I wish your restaurant hours were more reliable or that you communicated better with your customers. read more

First great product the white chocolate spread is the best . The unfortunate part rode to there store location in Fredericksburg about a hour ride one way . Customer service sucked so bad we left without ordering . The blonde working the counter moved so slow I thought I was going back in time . Hate to see a good product go down the drain because of poor service . I used to love going to Sprelly, but the last time I went will be the end of it for me. The first bad experience was ordering a pb&j and the lady at the register who also made my sandwich seemed kinda rude. She didn't greet me and when I tried to talk to her about their new products, she seemed uninterested and small talked. I was thinking she was just having a bad day so that didn't stop me from going again. Next time I went, another bad experience. I got the sandwich to go, when the guy gave me my box, I opened it up to try it out before walking out the door to find a long black hair in my 2nd bite. I was going to show him what I found but before I could he was rushing into the back room.Last experience was the worst. Went in to get some white chocolate almond butter and they were making it fresh that day! I was excited for some fresh ab.. until I saw the man itch his dreads with bare hands, proceeded to grab the white choc. chips and continued to make the butter! No gloves or washing hands in between itching his head. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! (what if he has lice or dandruff problems?) Don't think health inspector can check the butters, but might need to check out the rest of the restaurant. Been going to this store since they first opened, and it seems like it's gone down hill. Th peanut butter is great, the jelly is great, the service is great! We had the peppered roaster and a make your own creation. I have to say that the peppered roaster was the best twist on a peanut butter and jelly that I've ever had! When we went back, we stuck with the peppered roaster.
