It's also next to a beautiful park if you want to walk around. The only bad thing is it needs more trees. I had to check the map to find it. If you didn't know, Scioto Audubon Metro Park is massive. The dog park is located at the end of Maier Road. It's the road off to the right on Whittier Street when you get to the park. The road goes up and makes several turns past the climbing wall. It finally gets to the dog park where there's a parking lot. There's a single port-o-potty which is usually occupied. I like the Metro Parks in Columbus, so I would come to Scioto Audubon Dog Park again. It's not a big park, which means it often gets busy. The location is great though so that's the best thing.

There are usually many people at the park when the weather is nice. There also are many dogs, some of whom enjoy a dip in the water. Outside of the walking trail, there are tennis courts, basketball courts and soccer fields. There also is a field house.

The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. Four nice sized pens! Two are really large/huge runs/pens, too! In the middle of the two large pens is a small dog pen with lots of trees, a few agility structures and in front of that is a pen dedicated to agility. There are benches to sit at inside each pen. The larger pens with no trees have a sun shelter. And so much parking!!!!! There is a pavilion, water fountains, basketball court and a playground as well.

Stepping into Bumble's Backyard feels like joining a club you didn't even know you (or your dog!)…read moreneeded. Lauryn and Evan pour their hearts into this place, and it shows in all the little things. The Barktenders in bright vests greet you and your dog by name, and you can hear them on the radios calling out each pup's arrival and departure, with a secure double gate (both of which have been reinforced, with an added audio signal when the gate is opened) adding peace of mind at the entrance. They don't just stand on the sidelines; they're in the park interacting with the dogs, keeping them engaged and helping redirect energy when play gets a bit too hyped. If a dog needs a break, they're moved to a smaller enclosed area to reset and calm down with a Barktender sitting right next to them. The park itself is spotless and thoughtfully set up: faux grass so no one goes home muddy, play areas free from poop thanks to constant cleanup and respectful members, fresh water always available, a long leash wall right when you walk in, and seating placed so you have clear sight lines to your dog from every angle. There are trash and compost bins exactly where you expect them, plus a semi-enclosed heated area so humans can warm up while the dogs keep running. Every visit wraps up with a complimentary pup cup, and yes--your dog will quickly figure out that this is part of the Bumble's ritual. On top of the basics, Bumble's goes all in on community: dog birthday parties, person-and-pup yoga, book clubs, "Fetch Night," and OSU Buckeye "tailgate" events make it easy to stick around and actually enjoy being there. What really sold me was our first visit. Before we entered the main park, a Barktender invited us into a smaller area for temperament testing and spent about 10 minutes walking me through how everything works--where the bags, trash cans, and hoses are, and how the community rules keep the park friendly, safe, and incredibly clean. It genuinely feels like a responsible, caring community built for dog lovers who expect more. We keep coming back because Lauryn, Evan, and the whole Bumble's team make us feel like we're part of something special (more than anyone I've ever met - they truly care about dogs) --and that "something" is really, really good.

She's a rescue and we've been working hard at training obedience. There was another nice lady there with her dog and we chatted over the fence. She respected our space and we, hers. The park is extremely clean and well maintained with water and poop station supplies . The areas were securely fenced, had benches inside and out fit owners and those just wanting to watch dogs.

There is always fresh water and bowls available for the dogs to get a drink which is something no other park offers. The dogs and people are wonderful at this park and it's rare to come across an aggressive animal here. Everyone picks up after their pet and it's a slice of heaven in the middle of the city! This was my first time to visit the Park of Roses although my wife has been here several times in…read morethe past. We were here 4th week of June which means we missed the PEAK blossoms. Their website says that the peak time to visit in EARLY JUNE but our schedules didn't gibe with visiting in early June. Despite missing the PEAK, we were still able to see many gorgeous displays and blossoms. There are more differnt kinds of roses than I knew exisied. There is even a section devoted to HERTIAGE roses - that is roses cultivated BEFORE 1867 which, according to their literature was the birth of the era of today's roses. Whetstone Park is a huge park and the Park of Roses is just a part of the larger park. NOTE - there are no restrooms in the Park of Roses. There must be restrooms elsewhere in the park but they were not evident from the Park of Roses. This is well worth visiting and I'm going to mark my calendar to visit during EARLY JUNE next year.
