The brunette receptionist was SO beyond rude. Truly terrible service. So many vets in Renton to choose from...don't pick this one.

We recently switched vets and had a very nice and informative first visit to Spring Glen Vet. Dr. Cumming made a great first impression on us and our Goldendoodle Abby, she spent the time to go over our dogs current state and actually helped to educate us, which was a very nice change of pace from our former vet. Dr. Cummings is amazing. She is so nice and caring towards my dog. My dog is a little agressive and she's super afraid of the vet but Dr. Cummings was not scared of my dog and she totally understands my dog's behavior. She always made sure I understand what is going on and took the time to explained to me. She always asked if I have any other questions and try to educate me as much as possible. The wait to see the doctor was not long and the staff in the from was very friendly. Overall, I really like this vet and thank god its nearby! read more

Absolutely wonderful place to take your animals too. We have two dogs and two cats. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and are so, so good with out pets. The only knock I have on this place is that it seems to be more expensive than a lot of other places. But for great doctors and wonderful staff, our pets are worth it! read more

Took my senior Pomeranian there to be diagnosed when we saw blood in her urine. They got us in quickly and gave us treatment options to try without jumping to the most drastic. They were professional and nice at a time both my husband and I were very stressed. read more

Great vet clinic! I have worked with all 3 vets and they are all very helpful and caring. Every employee knows me and my dog as I walk in and has my information up before I even get to the desk. They have a small town vet atmosphere and are compassionate in the way that you expect a vet to be. They were very helpful to me when I had to put my baby to sleep after a year long battle with cancer (which they were also supportive of) and have been wonderful with the expansions in my furry family as well. I can't believe I haven't reviewed them before! I love my fur babies more than most people so I take their care very seriously. Everyone in this office is friendly and knowledgeable. Their hours are easy to accommodate any working schedule and I can usually get appointments pretty quickly. On New Year's Eve I panicked when I realized I was out of tranquilizers for my dog and the fireworks place her in great distress. I was able to call an hour before closing and pick up some pills. Saved my night! Also, their prices are not out of control which is always a plus with a vet. read more

We've been pleased with their attentiveness, ease of making appointments, and accuracy of diagnosis as well as the fairness of their pricing. I recently adopted a Cattle Dog puppy and was referred to Spring Glen by a friend. The office staff, the doctor/vet, and the vet assistants...were all professional, took excellent care of our dog, and spent the time with us answering all questions. I really like that they make reminder calls about things needing follow up, and to just check in to see how Pepper is doing. (Pepper had a baby tooth that wasn't falling out, with a potential for needing pulling, and they called to make sure she lost the tooth) I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital/clinic! read more

Though the staff are friendly, the quality of care should be much better. -When our elderly pomeranian had Kennel Cough, told it was most likely a collapsed trachea and that she'd probably have to be put to sleep soon (she finished her round of antibiotics and was just fine) -Pinned our lab roughly down during an exam, even though we told the vet tech repeatedly she was extremely friendly and would lie down on her own -Put our lab on steriods, and said she should be on them continually for her allergies, even though prolonged steriod use leads to a suppressed immune system -When our pomeranian had an eye infection, said it was a calcium deposit and perscribed artificial tears (we took her to a specialist and it was an ulcer in her eye that required a month of antibiotics) -When presented with current information on how to treat our cat's feline diabetes, completely blew me off because "Purina says blah-blah-blah". Excuse me, aren't you the vet? Not them? Also, when we recently switched vets, it took weeks for them to send our cat's files over. I had to call again and ask them to be set over, and then they had some how "lost" all but our cats most recent vet appoints. Though for a basic health check, this vet has been okay, we will not be returning to this clinic. read more

I went to Meow Cat Rescue and I adopted an amazing little kitty who I spoil very much. First I took my kitty to the Highlands Veterinary Hospital due to a recommendation. Two days after I took her to the first visit, she started sneezing and her eyes were getting a lot of muck in them. I quickly went to the vet and asked what was wrong. They were "unable to diagnose" and sent me home with some eye drops and a 200$ charge. (The eye drops were ~50$). I was more concerned about my cat and they didn't tell me it would cost 150$ just for my kitty to see the vet so I went home and the drops did help her get better (She ended up just having a kitty cold she picked up from the adoption center). Fast forward a year later when her yearly check up is due, I gave a call to the Highlands Veterinary Hospital and asked for an estimate price. They beat around the bush about giving me any numbers because "it was all situation" on what she needed. The range she provided was 200$ - 400$. I called Spring Glen Veterinary who told me it was 50$ to see the vet, and about 25$ per shot (total of 100$) and they provided a LOT better service. Dr. Hammond was very kind, very informative, and I know it may sound silly, but I feel as if even my little kitty was even relaxed and okay being there. She gave the shots to my cat without a flinch and they even sent her home with some kitty snacks! They actually care about your pet, and you can really tell as soon as you walk in the door. read more

This is an amazing vet. I can call with any random questions and they are always willing to help me. They are fairly priced and they really care about the animals. They have called a couple times to follow up to make sure everything is going well. They spend time with your animal and don't rush in and rush out. Great place!! read more

These people are so patient with customers ranging from 2-4 legs. They were also incredibly accommodating for a last minute, semi-emergency appointment even though they had a full schedule. Never once did we feel rushed or bullied into having unnecessary procedures. We will be back and have already recommended SGV to others! read more

We have been taking our Labradors to Dr. Cumming for years. She is so compassionate about dogs, is very knowledgeable, and has always found the right treatment for any issue our dogs had. She spends much time when we visit, we can discuss any issue openly with her. When we come in, the desk staff stops, and says Hi to our Ruby! You can see they all love their work, and the animals that come in! When our last Lab had oral cancer, Dr. Cumming emailed us a long article about this type of cancer - we can see too, how much she loves her work. We wouldn't now go to any other Vet as long as Dr. Cumming is there; she is the best! read more

Very nice staff and We love Dr Wolf. It's so nice that she also has a dashchund so I can relate to her a lot. She answers all my emails promptly whenever I have a question which is so convenient. I saw my coworker one day there and he said he was surprised how they didn't try to charge him for unnecessary things which I completely agree. I always have to haul my 3 kids with me and they are so accommodating. Dr wolf also has 3 kids so she completely understands how I feel. We really love this place. read more

My dog and I really loved our first visit just a few weeks ago! After a fallout with his previous vet, who he had only seen for the last six months concerning his chronic condition he's had for over two years now, my friend recommended bringing him to Spring Glen. The staff were wonderful and my dog really loved Dr. Wolf! She was very understanding of our situation and we both had a mutual understanding that my dog's condition can be controlled without any unnecessary procedures and exams (just like his first vet from out of state did). We made a plan and hopefully all works out alright! Either way, I'm glad I made the switch to this vet and look forward to bringing our cat in for an exam this week! Their genuine caring service has provided health saving advice and treatment for my dogs both young and "older". I could not make it without their great service, smiles and knowledgeable helpful approach. They also have really great treats for your pets that are healthy and low-cal and stock products that really work for cleaning wrinkles on pug faces. read more

I feel SO LUCKY to have found this veterinary practice on my first try after moving to WA! I tend to stick with a good vet over the lifetime of my pets, and this is a GREAT place. They're VERY caring; they give excellent advice and explain ALL the options. They are sensitive to the fact that not everyone has oodles of money to spend, so if you're in a situation like that, they will try to come up with a less expensive alternative. Here's the clincher.... one of my cats LOVES his vet (Dr. Cummings) and is purring and rubbing on her the whole time we're there, even when his siblings are being attended to! They are in the top 3 vets I've ever seen in my life! I feel bad for the guy who gave the one star review, but I feel certain, knowing the excellent care I've received for my cats, that there must have been more to the story, and MANY vets send samples out to the lab---I know my own Dr. does! Do not take ur pet here! I have been here 5 times in 3 months for 2 kittens and they do not perform a thorough examination despite recurring problems! And don't try letting the manager know about the incompetant staff she has working in her establishment. She's very rude and more incompetant than the doctors. My cat had an allergic reaction the the meds they prescribed (even though I knew from the beginning that the meds weren't going to help him cause I knew he wasn't properly diagnosed) and they toldd me to keep giving it to him, said it was just snot in his nose. His entire face swelled up and he was practically beating his face up cus his nose itched so bad, but its just boogers?? Really?? I was practically in tears cus it broke my heart to see him suffering and I said I just want this to stop... Asking for their help. The manager then says "well u can get an electric color to make him stop scratching" I was horrified. She's very cold, mean and unprofessional. And I took him to a new vet who confirmed he was allergic to the medication and said I was right to stop giving it to him and also said based on his medical records its obvious they never performed any sort of teststo confirm any of his diagnosis. I think its sad that I had to ask for that, like I'm telling them how to do their jobs. And they still said no, he's fine. The new vet said my cats symptoms are that of something serious and he performed a bloodd and urine culture so we can finally figure out what's wrong with hm. Once I get the results confirming that I was right all along ill be sure to let spring glen know all they care about is money. Helping sick animals is not their priority. Please take ur pet somewhere else. read more
