I really need to take my own advice. Eight years ago I swore off Spring Lake. But here I was again in rush to get the car freshened up as it was way overdue. After a year of lock-down plus at least the year of "i'll do it tomorrow" it really needed some TLC. My goal, get a Wash to see if there was a need to go into a deeper detailing service. As the car has leather seats, and full WeatherTech floor liners, getting out the dust and crumbs should be easy sledding. Not so fast apparently. I again chose the highest service wash they offer and as I got out of the car the attendant looked in the car and said "We can't do that for your car". After I questioned why, he replied that the car was too dirty and needed an appointment to have detailing done. I said I just wanted to have the service complete and I would decide if I needed additional services after I saw the outcome. to this he told me, "We can do the outside, not inside". I asked "Don't you have a vacuum?" the reply came and stunned me "Not for your car. You haven't been here in two years." The kicker to all this is when I said to him "I don't understand" of course meaning "I do not understand how a Car Wash is refusing to WASH a CAR because it is too dirty, his response in Broken heavily accented English was "Do you speak English?" THAT'S IT. Final Straw! Camels back is Broken. I will never be back here again. Watch for my positive review of the site that took this same car 10 days later and did their full service top of the line wash, no muss no fuss and no condescending attitude. I was here because my my father asked me to wash his car. He gave me a $20 and asked me to get the second from the best car wash. The best wash was $32 and the second from the top was $28. For the extra four dollars just went ahead and got him the top of the line wash. I'm used to Florida car washes and for $10.99 you get all the things they offered except the inside done and no one to tip. So they vacuum the inside and wipe down everything as well as put the tire shine on. They did as they said and the car looked nice I just thought it was extremely expensive for a 15 minute wash, wax , vacuum etc. You need cash for the tip bucket if your happy with their job. I tell the register girl who says "oh but it's enough soap it's clean" . Despite hearing from many people that the workers are rude and nasty, I needed a car wash for and important event. I was quite surprised when I pulled in and saw not one car on line to be washed. I asked for the package wash. When I asked what it came with, the worker was very confused as if he did not even know himself. The expressed that I wanted the rims to be cleaned well since the car had not been washed in two weeks. He said the machine cleans the car but does not always get all the dirt. I asked him to use a brush to get any remaining dirt off and said I would even pay extra. he said if I want the rims fully cleaned I would need to make an appointment for a professional detailing. He said this is a quick wash, yet there were NO CUSTOMERS on line so not sure what the rush was for. The worker then started to get annoyed. At that point, a kid of about 18 came over and rudely said with a sardonic tone "that is a lot of talking for a car wash." I explained to him that I was simply looking to have a professional job done and I would pay. At that point another kid of about 23 comes over and with an aggressive tone says, "what's the problem?" I said "there is no problem. I will take my business elsewhere and post this on Google." I got back in my car and the older kid comes running toward my car in a very aggressive and threatening manner. I felt very threatened. He takes his phone out and starts pointing it at my car. I asked him what he was doing as he was taking pictures of my tutoring business car magnet. He replied "Elite Tutoring.. ok now I will post a negative review of your business." This person does not know me, nor has he ever used my business. I am a complete stranger to him, yet he said he was going to make negative comments regarding my business. His face and voice were angry, hostile, and aggressive. His actions prove he is not only unprofessional, but dangerous, especially to customers. I have been a high school English teacher and owner of Elite Tutoring fir over 20 years. I am always professional, friendly, and accommodating to all of my students and their parents. These two young kids can really learn some valuable lessons regarding professionalism, patience, and positive customer relations. Shame on them. My husband just got back from this place, can I tell you how upset my husband is. First off if you pay $30 bucks for a wash you would expect it to be cleaned properly. Well that never happen. All that was done was they waxed the dirt into the car. And Windshield was left streaky, the dashboard was left sticky the rims were never cleaned looks like they thought about it But changed their minds. When my husband looked at the car he told the guys he wasn't happy with the job their response was " well if you don't like the job, don't come back"! I do NOT recommend this car wash. First and last time ping here for me. The whole cleaning job overall from vacuuming, washing to cleaning the interior was subpar. They charged an extra $3 to vacuum the trunk. The ticket attendant was rude and aggressive with me. Neither guys who vacuumed my car/were in my car and drove my car wore a mask, so not cool. They also used some black goo on my tires that is now staining the interior of my aluminum wheel well with black and it looks terrible. When I got out, the attendant got the manager who informed me that I hadn't been to their car wash in over a year and my car was neglected and I would need to make an appointment. I'm sorry??? Just went to get the basic $22 - $24 with tax. So disappointed. Never wiped down the back seat or doors. Vacuumed pretty well. Felt like I just wasted not only $24 but the tip as well. I should have checked it out before I left. I had to wash the interior when I got home. Will not go there again or suggest to any of my friends to go there either. Sorry guys. Got the $32 wash and they done a great job, they done the windows and windshield vacuumed the interior also towel dried the car when it was done which is very important to me, *no one likes water spots after a car wash* and if you want something specifically done just ask them. I love this place, everyone seems to work hard and they are not too expensive if you get the monthly plan. Unfortunately the sap removal is not included with cleaning the car. The difference between the 20$ interior and exterior car wash vs the basic 12$ exterior car wash is that a guy with a damp rag takes about an extra 2 minutes and quickly wipes your dash off inside. I have been going here for about a year and have never ever left unhappy...until today. Seemed to have a new younger kid working on the final steps of wipe down and tire shine and he was too busy yapping to spend time wiping my cup holders and whatnot. I just got a "new to me car". It's ten years old and was rather dull looking. When I picked it up I had to look twice to make sure I was getting in the right car!! I brought my car to this car wash once before and when I pulled out I thought the inside wasn't clean enough, I called and they said they would give me credit.Which I felt was the right thing to do.I went back a second time and I was told they only dust the dash not the doors and they don't vacuum sand. I have a dirt driveway which leads to some sand in my car. It's not like I have the whole beach in here. The only way they would accommodate me is if I drop the car off. Doors not wiped down, dashboard still had dust on it, didn't wipe out cup holder, didn't vaccum by the rear window, didn't vaccum the floors. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I've been coming to this car wash for a while now and every time their's always a problem as far as putting effort into what their doing . I always find myself opening the trunk and getting the armor all wipes and cleaning the dashboard or something , but I keep giving them chances . Well , today is the last day of chances ! Like everyone the inside of the car had sand in it from the nasty snowy winter months I would assume that it would get vacuumed ? well under the mats a whole bunch of sand was not vacuumed and the dashboard was filthy! This place is a decent car wash. Rarely a line and the employees are very friendly, especially the cashier who always greets you with a huge smile and a polite greeting, as though she is thrilled you're there. The initial greeter is also friendly as are what I call the "Final Phasers," the driers and window cleaners. I had to remove two stars because sometimes (not always, but sometimes) they use a dirty rag to wash the windows, which you don't notice until you drive at night; and most times they neglect to do the infotainment screens so prevalent on most cars nowadays, leaving all the fingerprints there. They can be too quick with the vacuum as well on occasion, missing some areas. They are slightly higher priced than comparable washes, but it's close and convenient for me and I rarely (if ever) leave unhappy. All in all, I recommend. read more

I was refused a car wash why??? the two gentlemen in the receiving area said my car was too dirty and they would have to spend to much time on it. Meanwhile I was the only customer there. They said I would complain about their work (mind readers). I was not allowed to either speak to the owner or know when he would be into work. The next day I stopped there to see if the owner was in and was not allowed to again. I saw them having a discussion when they saw my car and young kid came over and not only did he try to make look bad, but he really got under my skin. The attitude was horrible and not only will I never return but, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Let me start off by saying I have been a customer of Spring Lake Car Wash for almost 20 years. Today I stopped by to have my car washed and they refused to wash my car. They stated that back in 2019 I received a refund for a wash and will no longer wash my car. Back story of that refund that the employee INSISTED I get because they were too busy to wipe my car down. In 2019, I purchased the most expensive wash, as I always do. When they gave me my car back, the inside wasn't wiped down, neither were my rims, there was still dirt on my car and it was still dripping wet. I asked them if they can go over the car. One of the employees said they were really busy and would just give me a refund because they don't have the time. I told him I didn't want the refund and just wanted my car wiped down. After going back and forth, I settled for the refund because he kept insisting. Fast forward to today and they won't wash my car because of the refund they gave me. This place seems to be run by a bunch of kids who do not know the value of a loyal customer or what they are doing. Every time I'm there someone is complaining and yelling at them. Armond needs to come back and not leave this place in the hands of kids who don't know how to run a business. They're ruining his business!!! It's been going down hill and I've noticed this for the last 2 years or so. My entire family and most of my friends use this place because of me and I will make sure they DO NOT return to this place. I have found this to be the best and friendliest car wash in this area and I've been to all of them. The staff and ownership is always friendly and polite. Anytime I have pointed out a concern regarding the cleaning of my car it is taken seriously and addressed immediately. I have recommended their monthly plans to my friends and neighbors and they are equally pleased with their good work. I'm a clean freak when it comes to my car and I have never been dissappointed. Having just purchased a new truck and with this crazy winter I was looking for options to keep my truck looking clean and salt free. I stopped in a Spring Lake Car wash in middle island having never been there before but hearing about a monthly unlimited wash option. The owner spoke to me directly and signed me up. I have gone faithfully twice a week since and have been pleasantly surprised. The staff is curteous and very helpful. I was skeptical reading one (the only review) posted about this place but since going have regarded that past review as garbage, Its probably someone with an ax to grind or maybe even another business in competition because my experiences have been the total opposite.
