Went to the salon today they asked me three times if I wanted a manicure. The girl did not even clean under my nails they were also crooked didn't cut them. She got mad when I said they weren't clean underneath. I she wouldn't to talk to me. She also was not paying attention when she was cutting my cuticles. She was paying attention because some other people were leaving because they were mad.Would not go here anymore! Had to stop coming to Spring nails. The owner/manager lady who sits in the front next to the desk is so miserable. She's mean to customers. I've been there so many times, asked how long the wait is and it's always 10 minutes (even if it's 50). The last time I went there was only one person waiting and she said - wait too long - can't help you and went back to her mails. So I left and never looked back. The girls there are great (Sue/Coco) but that woman has to go. I go to Rendezvous now. Love it there. read more

They work hard for a boss that does not know how to treat customers properly so she must be tough on them...I have been going for the three years and the owner does not even know my name . I do have to say I like this salon and I would still come here. My last experience wasn't too great they had a young girl do my pedicure and it looked horrible. My nails weren't straight or even and the polish dripped off my toe when I got up to go under the dryer. Understandably places get busy but I would of been happier waiting for an experienced technician rather than not being satisfied with the service. just went here three days ago I'm also nine months pregnant and I'm almost 100% I have a nail infection my cuticles are all itchy and are a bit tender and keep filling with a clear fluid I also got a pedicure done and the water was cold and my feet still had bead skin still left on them but I'm really concerned about the fact I'm 37 weeks pregnant with infected nails not happy at all once I goto my doctor's appointment this Friday I will be going after this place if you can not properly sterilize the tools you reuse then you really should not be doing people's nails now not only am I at risk for an infection but my unborn daughter could be affected by this as well I will not be going back here ever again read more

I'm going to start off by saying I am a real person! I came here with no appointment to get a new set of acrylic nails. I didn't know really anything about acrylics going in. They started doing my nails without much of a wait. I asked for acrylics and they asked if I wanted gel or regular polish; since I knew nothing about it I thought all I had to ask for was acrylics and they would know what I meant. I'm still confused about the difference as they did really explain it. I ended up going with gel, and they had a nice selection of colors to choose from. I will point out again I didn't have an appointment and I came in without really enough time to do a new set. I didn't realize it took about an hour to do the whole thing, so to be fair I should've given them more time before their closing time. My manicure felt a little rushed but my nail tech did stay after the store closed to finish it. I wish she had taken more time to be careful but really that's my fault. Overall she did a good job, although I was a little unhappy with the angle that my tips were placed at. They went upwards a little bit instead of going straight out from my nail. It wasn't noticeable at all, but I'm a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like this. She also wasn't familiar with the "coffin" nail shape that I asked for, and although I liked the shape that she ended up doing (so it was no problem) it wasn't what I had asked for. They did look great overall and I had no problems with lifting or breaking. My nail beds were a little sore but that's probably just because it was my first time getting acrylics. They lasted with almost no visible wear from october 7 to when I took them off on november 7. My experience here was okay, I'll have to try again when they are not about to close! read more

I WAS a loyal customer until this last visit. Got a pedicure & SNS ... which is usually pretty good except this time they rushed it all & i was done within an hour. It wasn't an issue until after tipping 20% & half way out the front door the manager (the never pleasant woman) stopped me to tell me I "tipped too little". (Mind you IN FRONT OF EVERYONE) she explained that people tip 10%-15% which I then informed her my tip was 20%. She then tried to inform me they spent about an hour each on me... but I was done within my lunch hour so that was incorrect. She had her staff giggling away with her. A Yorktown resident. Negative review - I've frequent Spring Nails since it opened. Last week was my last and final time. I will not be patronizing this establishment, nor are my daughters permitted. I've also spread the word with my friends and extended family who live in the area. - Both proprietors are crass, rude, confrontational, argumentative, lack customer service skills! I have witness a complete scarcity of respect from both proprietors to customers! More than once! Beware! I'd just sat down for a pedicure. I was distracted by the female proprietor who often sits adjacent to the register. Her voice becoming louder and louder! A few of the ladies and I getting pedicures looked up, then we just looked at each other! The proprietor was YELLING at a customer for being a half hour late. The customer a was getting a pedicure at the time she calmly replied, "that's ok. I understand." Though the proprietor kept on pushing the issue. The customer spoke up,"enough, I understand I WAS 15 mins late, no one advise me it would be a problem!" The proprietor continued to be argumentative! As though she had to have the final word. One could feel the tension. The poor gal customer, was embarrassed! I felt badly for her. The pedicurist was the only person that was apologetic! I struck up a conversation with the customer, PLEASANT WOMAN, AS WELL A YORK TOWN RESIDENT! A regular customer, WELL NOT ANYMORE! She told me if it was not because she'd started the pedicure, it's not the pedicurist fault. She walk out! I told her I have witness another customer being yelled at by same woman proprietor. At the time I just figured it was none of my business! Well it is my business! Spring Nails! Appalling! Yet another customer you have lost, plus three of my daughters! Never again!! Very clean, and the staff is mostly polite. I personally feel they do a great job BUT they take forever. I stopped going here because I would spend almost 2.5 hrs there for an SNS manicure. I personally don't have that extra time to spend getting my nails done. 1.5 hr tops. Well today I went because I received a gift certificate for Christmas. I got there at 1:30 they told me it was going to be a little while, so I figured ok I don't have to rush today. I told them I wanted an SNS manicure and spa pedicure. Around 2:15 they took me to wrap my nails and then took me for my pedicure, I finished with my pedicure and it was 3:30, they asked if I had an appt? i said no but I've been here for 2 hours now they were like ok you have to wait an hr and asked me to get a gel manicure instead I was so infuriated and said no thats not why I came here. Then they said ok just a few min we will get you in. 20 min under the pedicure dryer and nothing. I finally asked the girl to just give me a regular manicure so I can leave. Had I been told it was going to be hours before I got my nails done I wouldnt have had them soak off the SNS that was already on my nails. I was very annoyed and don't think I will be returning there anytime soon. I shouldnt have to be there for over 3 hours for an SNS manicure and Spa pedicure. Such ashame. read more

This salon is immaculate - by far the cleanest nail establishment in Yorktown and the adjacent villages. Every pedicure is performed with a plastic tub lining that is only used one and nail utensils also subject to one use (and given to the client after use). The staff is friendly and conscientious - I experienced a five minute wait over my reservation time and the staff profusely apologized - something that doesn't happen in the older businesses where regular customers appear to be taken for granted. Today I went to buy polish to touch up a pedicure and the staff insisted on performing the touch up and adamantly refused my money! This level of customer courtesy is hard to find! read more

The salon is immaculate! Very nice staff! They put a plastic lining in your pedicure tub and discard of it after EVERY customer! I've been there 20 times since they opened and I won't go anywhere else. Keep in mind they do get a little busy evening nights and weekends due to their service being excellent. I have returned to Spring nails to give it one more try. This time I went back to the technician that I had originally had a good experience with. I decided to go for the green tea pedicure (I have never spent this kind of money on a pedicure before) and she did an amazing job. It is the best pedicure I have ever gotten. I still feel there should be a middle ground priced spa pedicure though. If you like to get pedicures often, it adds up and in my case I will not get them as often as I would like. I have gone to this nail salon on numerous occasions & have usually always been satisfied with my nails. Although I am happy with my nails today, I'm unhappy with my overall experience and will not be back in the future. First off I'd like to say that the manager is ALWAYS unfriendly and never smiles which is a huge part of customer service especially because it's the first face when I see walking in. I have always gotten SNS but today I decided to get acrylic nails. $40 for a new set? Pretty high but ok. I asked for gel polish, every other place would charge $5 more but nope, $15... so $55 for a new set. Ridiculous to me personally. She could have mentioned that when I asked for gel, the woman who did my nails actually said herself "they didn't tell you before you did?" when I questioned why it was so much. You think they would for $15 more. Anyway, the girl who did my nails was SO ROUGH that on EVERY SINGLE ONE of my nails, the cuticle was cut and I was even bleeding a tiny bit on 2 of them. (No exaggeration) I asked her to trim away the excess because I didn't want them to peal back and get worse and she told me I didn't need to... what???? I got a pedicure too, I was pleased with this. It included a 10 minute massage that I probably could have done without. It felt ok. I'm sorry but when they massage me with gloves it takes away half of the feeling. I guess for sanitary purposes maybe? But it makes no sense to me because she would then touch my feet with her bare hands to trim the cuticles & polish them. Went to get a regular manicure, had picked my color, and sat down at one of the tables. A girl came over and had taken my polish off and had begun to start doing my nails. I decided I didn't like the color I had chosen, so she let me go pick another color. When I turned around to sit down at the table again (it had been less than 5 minutes), the girl that was doing my nails had gotten up and sat down to do someone else's nails. Trying to get an appointment for an SNS maincure is difficult ,since not all of the technicians are trained to do this service, so it seems they can only do so many per day. This place is absolutely horrible! I don't recommend anyone to go here for it's slow service and rude manager. 1st off, I have gone here for more than 4 years and I have always had to put up with their horrible service and people. I always thought that although I have to put up with their crap, I would always end up with a manicure. I always have to wait because the women who sits in the front by the desk always over books, takes in all walk ins, and is absolutely not loyal to appointments. Out of all the times I have had an appointment, the quickest they took me was after waiting 15 minutes. What they usually do is take me in (after a while of waiting) and put foil on my fingers to soak off the SNS that I have on. But then they leave me for 30-40 minutes while they go do someone else's nails when it only takes around 10-15 minutes to soak off. The foil and nail remover is always on so long that my fingers look like raisins and my fingers actually start to hurt. One time I made a 4:30 appointment for just a Gel manicure and I had dinner at 7:00. My mom dropped be off because I can't drive and again, I waited to be helped. Keep in mind that every time I go, I have set up an appointment. They took me and put foil on my fingers then left to go do this women's toe nails. And around an hour later my mom called to come pick me up but I had to explain to her that THEY STILL DIDNT DO MY NAILS AND I STILL HAD FOIL ON! Also, the manicures are not even that good! I've had bumps on my nails from their over use of nail polish and I always get burned from the nail file. Lastly, just yesterday, which is the reason I am writing this review, I set up an appointment for 2:45. When I realized that I'm going to be a little late, I called them and said that I was going to be late. They told me that they where also running late and to come at 3:00. So I did and when I walked in, there where 2 walk ins in front of me and only 3 people where working. Also, everyone who was getting a manicure was in the middle of getting it so it seemed that I wouldn't of been able to get my manicure for a while. When I asked her how long the wait is, she said a few minutes. I asked how many minutes because yesterday I was very busy and then again she responded with a few minutes. I said that every time she said a few minutes it was always around 30 minutes to wait. She then TURNED HER HEAD AND CURSED AT ME IN CHINESE! I was shocked and explained that I need to reschedule. She ignored me when I asked to reschedule 3 times and I eventually left. Also, the same women who is the women who sits by the desk, yells at children for not giving a good enough tip, takes advantage of children when they pay, and is rude to everyone. All in all, after 4 years, I will never set foot In that salon ever again and I advise anyone who is reading this to do the same. read more

I believe this place has changed management recently, and not a good thing. The gentleman that answers phone and is always up front is now replaced by a nasty woman. I made an appointment for a regular manicure. I have been going to this place for about 3 months now. The manicurist I had been using, suddenly disappeared, and no explanation why. I walked in and was overcome with horrible acrylic smells! I am allergic to that strong odor, and explained to the manager, I could not stay, and I asked to return later. She was very angry I broke the appointment, they saved me a space. There was only 2 people in there on a Tuesday. I called later to confirm the acrylic smell was gone, and she said someone else got it too, and told me to go another place in town! I asked about another day, and she said it is holiday time, and we will always be doing it. Gels have replaced that procedure, and I cannot remember having this problem in several years.
