Usually it is women painting my nails and they do a good job but the only male manicurist/pedicurist present on the afternoon of 8/25/26 wouldn't stop digging into my skin with his nails while painting my nails despite me saying it hurts, and he kept filing my skin while filing my nails as well. I know to some extent that is inevitable but this was egregious. He also left acetone in foil on my nails for over an hour despite me asking why they weren't removed yet. Getting the shape/length of my nails "correctly" (he never did get it right) took forever because I kept having to point out what was wrong and eventually I just said "ok." Also I had a wound on my leg that was scabbing (healing) and he thought it was a good idea to use the foot/leg scrub to take the scabs off. I was honestly shocked. The paint job was poor, and as you can see there were so many issues I didn't even want to say anything anymore, I just wanted to leave instead of getting the wax that I also wanted afterwards. I paid for my nails and began to walk out and the man stopped me by calling me out in front of the entire salon saying something along the lines of "No tip!?" with his hands out and I said "No, there were so many problems" and he mumbled angrily, shouted across to another employee telling her that I didn't tip, and waved me off to go away. Before you get the wrong idea, just know that 99% of the time I tip people that give me beauty services - INCLUDING the previous times I've been at this nail salon - because they deserve it for going above and beyond. That was not the case here. I don't even feel like I got the bare minimum of service I deserved. And a tip should be appreciated but not be required or expected. This place should be ashamed of themselves for their behavior as if the service today wasn't bad enough. And also, the women here have recognized my voice on the phone and when I've gotten services in the past so if they recognized me again this time they should know it was a big mistake letting me get treated like that. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing treat and I was open to giving these guys another chance with someone else to do my nails but now it just seems like an unsafe place to spend my time. I strongly suggest you go somewhere else. There are many more nail salons in the area.
