One of the worst manicures I've ever seen. How anyone could call this "nail art" is beyond me. At least the owner TRIED making right, though (hence the rating). We've been going to nail salons for years and have never seen botched work like that. And no, we didn't want a different design, we were simply asking for the price of those particular nails. I hired a babysitter to watch my 2 month old daughter and after I waited for an hour I was told that they would not honor my reservation because I had a groupon. I enjoyed the vibe when I first got there but once they got started on my nails I felt like the guy working on them was a little rough on them, he would move my hand and fingers as he pleased but I didn't mind it too much to say anything. I ended up loving how they turned out I feel like my coffin shape was perfect so I definitely give them props for that! But it's been five days since I got them done and my polish has begun to chip off ! This has never happened to me before ( I like to try different nail salons) especially this early on. I had an appointment at 12:00 for a pedicure and powernails. I talked to Kevin and he said he was on his was and that another technician would do my pedicure. At 1:00 I still hadn't been seen. Other people came in and had 1:00 appointments they took them first. Finally I got seen at 1:15. The man who did my pedicure cut my toes and never asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. Also, I asked to have my ingrowns removed, that was not done. Kevin was supposed to do my nails and he had one of his workers do it and he cut 2 of my fingers. I also, ask for a design on my ring finger. I got a small leaf decal and it looks weird. I have given this shop several chances and I am done! Terrible experience, I called 3 times for an appointment. This was a gift for my Mother who has dementia. They told me to come in after 5 pm. I had to take time off of work to make it. I presented the groupon as instructed, and they told me that they would have to make an appointment. The place was empty. Then 2 other women walked in without appointments, as I overheard the conversation, and they took them right away. I asked to speak with the owner and he said he was the owner. I love the set up. It's clean and nicely decorated. I decided to give this place a try because of the reviews and the pictures of the nails were beautiful. I like growing my natural nails and using regular polish since it's better for my nails. I'm not sure if this is why they didn't turn out well since they probably don't do regular paint anymore but I would think they would know how to do everything well. Also one of my nails had a tear and in the menu it said they charge $3 to fix it but then she asked me if I could just grow it out. I would have painted my own nails if I would have know they couldn't repair a tear. She just put some glue and painted it. The paint job was not good I definitely could have a better job. Kelvin is my hero and deserves double the stars! This place is a hidden gem. I called in to make an appointment on a Friday night, on a Groupon i was gifted nonetheless, and he fit me in which I though nothing of at the time. When I got there (for a gel mani and spa pedi) he got me right into the chair. After chitchatting with him I came to find out all but two techs (him and the girl doing a full set across from us) had called in sick so these two handled ALL of the appointments on the books working 2 hours past closing to accommodate people. That's some top notch customer service! He provided the most in-depth pedicure I have ever gotten; including paraffin wax, two different massage techniques, and some reflexology. Even with being crunched for time and a long day, he provided an amazing quality of service and artistry. I was blown away by him and this cute, well-kept, and stylish salon. The outside does not do it justice. After my last few train-wreck nail appointments, I think I will be sticking with Kevin and Spring Nails from here on out! read more

So it kills me to write this review. Iv been going to spring nails for about two years now but the last couple months have been a complete nightmare to deal with. And Iv honestly just had it, I feel like my time and money isn't valued and i feel pushed to the side as a repeat loyal customer. The last few times i have attempted to get my nails done here i have reached out to Kevin personally (he gave me his number long ago to schedule appointments) and he told me when to come in, i said ok and planned my whole day around this time because my daughter was leaving for vacation the next day so this was something we HAD to get done that day. Anyways, after arranging the rest of our plans i showed up for my appointment . I walk in and there are 3 other women sitting in the waiting area. I didn't think much of it because i had a APPOINTMENT. Kevin looked at me and said "hey I'm sorry can u come back?" I said no it's ok I'm a little early so i can wait for when ur done. He said "no I'll need about a hour i have another person in front of you" i said why...i had a appointment with you. He asked if i would come back i said no and left. My sister ended up waiting for her "appointment " to which took another 30 minutes with somebody else. So what I'm upset about is i drive clear from Salt Lake City to sandy to see Kevin. I make a APPOINTMENT because i have a life and other errands. He will take any walk ins even if he has a set appointment with a person. It's ridiculous and completely unfair to the women/men scheduling their days around this. I was expecting a apology text or some type of something to make up for this. But after seeing his reviews here i seen two other women from that same day also left bad reviews . I wish i could say this was just a bad day but this is what has happened to me every time i have schedule with him the last few times. I'm stuck either waiting or leaving without my nails done. I spend over 100+ dollars every time i come because it's my daughter and i both doing nails. I just expected more as a loyal repeat customer. I wish them well on all his business but i won't be coming back unless he makes this right. When you tell a person to come in at a certain time they expect to be seen at that time. A couple minute wait is fine but JUST because a person walks in before doesn't make them the first to be seen Kevin that's not the way you do business. U tell them the wait time because you have appointments set' this is people's time you're taking advantage of and it's starting to show on ur reviews here and google as well. Really poor experience. Even with my husband purchasing a Groupon for a full set and a pedicure, I paid $35 more for my French tips (which were only a fill, I didn't need a full set) and gel on my toes. The manicure was incredibly rushed and the results definitely showed that. My nails were uneven and bumpy, my white tips had to be redone a couple times, and the lady cut me a few times. They always overbook their days, which I see as a sign they are thriving most importantly thriving during a hard time like COVID and I am here for anyone winning and thriving, but enough is enough. I made an app about a month ago on a sat a 12 I get there at 12 and there is 2 people waiting who had appts at 11 and they are helping 3 people between 2 workers. I still waited cause it's worth it, by 1 I finally get sit on a chair and Kevin was going to help me, he stands up and walks to the back of the place. 30 minutes had pass and I was still on the chair not being helped, I asked if he was okay and the other workers called someone, I imagine Kevin. It was on speaker so I heard how it was sent to VMware. I decided to wait a little longer since we don't know what people is going through, maybe he was having a bad day or was sick. I waited another 15 min and nothing. I end up leaving because it was about to be 2pm, I wasn't mad, I was trying to be understanding that things happen. A week later I called at 6:10ish to see if they could help me with a full set, I was expecting a no already since they close at 7 but I figured I could try... mind you, who ever answered me LAUGHED at me when I asked. They where like (laugh) no, we close at 7! I think this is terrible customer service! Fast forward to yesterday, I finally set an appt for a Full set and a pedi and requested Kevin for the full set since he is great with designs. My pedi was great, the older gentleman helping me was kind and did a great job. The problem started when Kevin came in to help with my full set. He was acting like my design was a problem, what do you want? So you want two designs? Just tell me where!! Like Sr, I am paying for both designs and requested your time so I can have you work on me. He was so rough in handling my hands, seriously took 20 mins on a full set and I appreciate the speed but he was so not gentle or polite when addressing me. Then someone came to sell something and he started by grabbing his wallet then going back to my hands without washing his hands, wallets are full of germs!! then he straight up stands up and goes to finish whatever he was buying, without telling me, "hey do you mind?" Or not even that but "hey I will be right back, give me one moment" the nails came out good because he is really good, but the details!!! My cuticles are full of acrylic left over, nails bulky on the cuticle part, the service was terrible!! And total with tip was 110. I don't mind paying when it comes to great things, but I also expect great service even tho I have a high tolerance level, but this was too much. This place has gone way downhill in the last year. I had an appointment today for a pedicure at 11 AM and had to wait 40 minutes. They only had two technicians working and had three other clients there besides me. As I sat there and waited and looked around I noticed that the feng shui is really off. Many of the lightbulbs are out, the bamboo plant is dying, the floors are very dirty, and there were A bunch of dead bugs in the corner. The waiting area couches are very worn and splitting apart. The nail polishes are no longer organized by color. I will never go there again. It is just as easy to drive a half a mile down the road to another salon. read more

Whoooo! Okay folks listen up- if you are in the market for Mani/Pedi or Acrylic nails- avoid Spring Nails in West Jordan (9000 S. 1400 W)!!!! We went in yesterday with 2 groupons for mani/pedi's and then daughter decided she wanted a set of acrylics. Firstly, I bought the groupons in April. The voucher said you must schedule an appointment. I called several times over the last 2 months to schedule an appointment and was told to just come in. Reviews said not to do this because they would turn folks away. But after several months of attempts finally got an "appointment" scheduled yesterday but the girl didn't even ask for my name. We get there and get going on our services. A key part of a pedicure is the exfoliation and pumice scrubs. Neither was given. Daughter asked for black polish- got blue. Move on to the manicures I got "french tip" (done in polish) lines are uneven and do not cover nail growth. Asked him to go a bit thicker- no regard to my request at all. Nails were filed uneven and have already chipped- yes since yesterday! Daughter's acrylics have bubbles and bumps, they are uneven and are thick as a brick! She asked the lady to paint the letters B and L on them, I heard her tell the girl ""B" like in boy" 3 times, she painted a V and then got rude when daughter told her it was wrong. Daughter asked her repeatedly to shorten the nails and she acted more and more annoyed with her each time she asked. Well none of us are exactly happy but we go to pay for Daughter's nails which, according to their pricing list should have cost her $30. They charged her $68!!!! Not only was she over charged, but the girl tried to short change her by $15!!! I called today thinking they must have forgotten about the groupon and charged her for the full set and the pedicure. Guy tells me a full set is $48. I said "Well, you guys charged my daughter $68 so you owe us a refund." He started babbling about it cost extra for long nails or for almond shape. Daughter did not get almond shaped and as far as "long nails" Yes- 1. Thats what acrylics do, they make your nails longer and 2. She didn't want them this long and asked repeatedly to shorten them. Guy was completely dismissive and oblivious to the problem and offered no resolutions. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Plenty of salons in the area that provide competent work! ZERO STARS!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I called ahead to book an appointment for two. I was told when to come in without giving any of my info. When I arrived they were too busy and could not accommodate us right away. The person answering the phone was working on someone's nails. Most of the people working there do not speak English and the person who appeared to be in charge was not polite or welcoming. The man who was working on my gel nails was obviously new. He cut me several times with the clipper and then ran the file too close to my finger which was also cutting into my skin. I had blood coming from five of my fingers which also caused the chemicals to sting. I was telling the man it hurt but he didn't speak English. Finally another worker came by and finished the job. This second person was better but my nails were also chipping within a few days. I have my nails done every 2 weeks and this does not happen. They are clearing using old product. Not worth the money. Worst experience ever! I purchased a Groupon for my daughter for one gel manicure and pedicure. when we arrived she was asked to pick out regular nail polish. I told them it was for gel. She chose black, so the nail tech went to grab it. However, she asked about french, the guy with bleached hair told her that would be an additional $18. so my daughter stuck with her original choice black. pedicure was ok, massage was lacking. I inquired about getting a pedicure for myself while I waited. I was originally told a basic pedicure was $25, gel was an additional $7, total $32. the the guy with the bleached hair told me french manicure with gel was an additional $18.. pedicure total was $50!!! I declined. after my daughter recieved her gel manicure the guy with bleached hair told me that the gel removal on 10 fingers and 2 toes was $8, and the matte top coat was an additional $3. what in the actual??!!! so 5 hours after my daughter's gel manicure, the gel is coming off!! not to mention the nail tech who did the manicure killed her cuticles with the drill and she was bleeding on at least 3 different fingers!!! thanks he nails tech who did her manicure and pedicure never said one word to her. the guy with bleached hair did all the talking! read more

I made an appointment and had to wait half an hour even though nobody was being helped and there were two people working. they just had me sit while they talked to each other for the entire time... I understand but I was kind of shocked because they weren't doing anything just talking and laughing with each other. Don't bother using a Groupon here. they'll charge you 80$ instead of the 20$ Groupon that THEY made. They chewed me out for a while and then completely ignored what color I asked them to do. The work is great but I wish they wouldn't act like people are trying to scam them and hurt their business when businesses post their own deals on groupon... Anytime someone said they like my nails I told them where I got them done and to never go there. They scanned my groupon and told me it would be a little extra because of the nail color i got (that i didn't ask for and wasn't just the wrong shade but a complete different color. We got their an hour before closing I asked if they had time to do two sets of nails the girls said yes. We waited about 30 min before they took us by this time they were almost closing but the girl said it was okay and still took us. The whole service felt super rushed. I felt like the girl was rushing through the whole thing because she wanted to get out of there. I had an appointment for my sister and I when we got there they were busy but got us in on time. I got a shellac manicure which was done half assed and did not look good, no hand massage and top coat was forgotten which he fixed. Whatever. My sister got a full set with gel the color she picked was incorrect but she didn't mind all that much. At check out I used a $5 coupon he said mine was $28 hers $38 but added $5 instead of subtracting it. I said it was incorrect so he added it again but this time mine was $28 hers was $43 so he really just bumped hers $5! I hate feeling like I received shi* service and having my intelligence mocked. My experience at spring nails was the worst, I bought a Groupon that included a gel manicure and pedicure they did accept my Groupon and they added additional fees, that the Groupon was covering. I don't mind paying the additional fees for a good service and good experience. However, the guy that did my nails did a horrible job my nails are not the same length, they don't have a shape when I specifically let him know I wanted Square shape. He also, cut my finger and didn't even apologize, just cleaned the blood. I was there with my husband talking, while he was doing my nails. And he said "I know your having an interesting conversation, but you need to focus on your nails" that was extremely rude! When you get your nails done it's supposed to be fun, your not supposed to be focusing.
