Cutbirth treated me like family when I walked into the front door. All the staff was so friendly & so grateful for my business. They have the latest in technology, very knowledgeable, personable staff, & currently has plenty of openings being a new business. Super sweet and always take extra steps to make sure I am comfortable since I told her I was terrified of the dentist with my past terror experiences somewhere else where. She was empathetic and did such a great job making sure everything was tip top! Morgan was such educational and knowledgeable! In March 2025 I was told I needed a crown because my tooth was cracked and I did feel sensitivity and pain for it. I booked my appointment a month out in April to come in for my first procedure. The comment from Viviana when I booked that appointment was "That's good because we'll have everything sorted with your insurance by then so you'll know your portion to pay". In April, I went to my appointment. Before they started they said my portion of the procedure was $600+ which approximately matched their estimate at the first appt so I paid it. They proceeded to drill my tooth down and put in the temporary putty. They said they'd call me in ~2 weeks to come in to put on the permanent crown. Three weeks later I get a phone call, thinking it's to schedule the final appointment. Instead, they tell me I owe them an additional $1200 for the crown because my insurance won't cover it. This is unacceptable. They NEVER mentioned there was any issue with my insurance or that it was in an appeal status, etc when I went into my appointment on April. They told me, "This is your portion". I told them they were deceptive and whether it was a miscommunication or not, it was on them to provide service and correct the issue because they were NOT honest with me. They promised they'd look into it and follow up with me and the insurance company to get it resolved ASAP. They never did! I was NEVER contacted again by email or phone with the exception of one email to say they were still looking into it. I had to call MyDental Elgin and my insurance company numerous times over the last six months with no assistance from MyDental to make sure MyDental was providing the insurance company with Xrays, etc. After 6 months the claim is denied again. How do I know? I called the insurance company. And still, it's crickets from MyDental. For your dental care, go to a more honest and caring practice. You do not want to get stuck with their incompetence.

It was sold I think about a year or so ago, so the dentist has changed but the team I use is still there as far as reception and hygienist goes. I personally request Gina and she does an Ultrasonic cleaning. She listens to me and gives great advice and feedback. When we called they said Medicare Advantage didn't tell them how much they would pay. So we called the insurance. They said they are not in network so they paid less. Never did they tell my husband they would pay less. Today the dentist office said they won't tell us what they pay but they will tell you. Why not tell us that and we could have called the insurance! And then I say why is the balance different and she says it is for a balance on a 330.00 cleaning in January that the insurance didn't completely cover! Why would you charge that for a cleaning and why not tell me I have a balance when I go in for my crown. Unfortunately we are now looking for a new dentist. :(

I saw Dr Meenal McNary for a retreat root canal tooth. She is hands down, top notch the best Endo…read morespecialist I've ever seen. She is so comforting, brilliant and a master of her profession. She took the time to explain what was going on with my tooth and why it was necessary to retreat my root canal. Immediately upon reviewing my CBCT image she saw that the original dentist missed a canal. (Original one was done 20+ years ago, when the technology was not near advanced as it is today.) She explained this is more common than you would think because these canals are so tiny and can branch off. Root canals are often why people dread the dentist. I can honestly say that this was done with zero discomfort. She was able to remove the old material, locate and clean the extra canal and complete the procedure within an hour. So methodical, precise and efficient. I honestly wish there were more practitioners like her out there! Fabulous work. Thank YOU!

I went in on a Friday and was seen for my root canal on a wendseday the next week. I was seen by Dr. Meenal McNary D.D.S. she was great... very informative and walk you through everything that she will be doing for your teeth. I felt like I was in good hands. Being that this was first root canal ever. I had a Crack in my tooth and she was still able to safe the tooth instead of pulling it. Would highly recommend this Dr. The main reason I did not give all stars is. Be prepared for a sticker shock on what needs to get done. As this place is completely out of network with insurances. They do there best to work with insurance but more than 70% comes out of pocket. My tooth was in bad shape and seeing how I was reffered there. I felt like I could not go anywhere else. I no we have choice but with life happening and time which who has that now days. I choose to go here.
